Review: The storytelling in this film is absolutely spellbinding! This quickly became one of my favourites and has stayed high on my list! If you only buy 1 DVD this month, buy "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne. . . But if you buy 2, buy 12 Monkeys also!

Summary: Great Sci-Fi Thriller
Review: This movie is one that you will remember. Taken from their normal typecast roles in 12 Monkeys, Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt prove they are real actors, along with Madeline Stowe the trio explode on the screen with energy and life which make this movie one that has to be seen multiple times. The sound is encompassing and the special effects are excellent. Kudos to Terry Gilliam in putting togeather an excellent film that is not only full of action but has depthy and believable characters.***** - One of my favorites

Summary: Watching Twelve Monkees is like exercising your brain.
Review: I get tired of watching the same old movie where you can tell what's going to happen before it does. If you want something unpredictable this is the movie for you. I am a big time travel lover anyway, so this is right up my ally. This movie will make you think, and think, and think; and when you have finally "figured it out" you will be shocked by the ending and start thinking all over again.

Summary: A stunner
Review: I saw this twice in the theatre, both times in theatres with lousy projection and terrible sound. Finally it came out on video, and I could see it for the splendid work that it is. A dark and twisty ride through several shifting time planes, it rewards repeated viewings like few movies of the 90s. Bruce Willis gives the best performance of his career,but even a wizard like Terry Gilliam can't get blood out of the stone named Brad Pitt. A great movie. Haunting, funny, thrilling, ultimately moving.

Review: I waited so long to get this and I don't know why? It's great! A beautiful DVD transfer. If you love Gilliam's films then you probably already have this. If you love intelligent, thought-provoking science fiction, then get it! Beautifully written and directed. Subsequent viewings reveal more and more detail.

Review: It is absolutely incredible what can be done with a good story. No big budget special effects. No appeal-to-the-masses one-liners. No glitz. Just good acting and a great story. Be sure to watch it more than once.

Review: This is one of the finest movies ever made and in my opinion, is underrated. Terry Gilliam does a remarkable job of creating a dark world in which we do not know who to trust. The 12 Monkeys DVD is excellent as well with all of the extra features like the commentary from Gilliam. I recommend this movie to all.
