Summary: An Okay Movie
Review: This was a very well directed movie. Kubrick really did his homework on this movie. The feel of young Alex (mcdowell) as a gangster doesn't get you to like him in the beginning but near the mid way point and the end you have a certain respect for him. The thought of someone who Rapes, Beats, and Murders his victims to something horrible and then going to prison, and then gaining his gangster soul back makes this an amazing movie

Summary: Welly, welly, well, my little droogies!
Review: I've seen this movie a zillion times, and there are several reasons why I never get tired of watching this Kubrick masterpiece. First, the film's weird plot is very inventive and dynamic. Second, the characters, and that rather strange dialogue they use, which Kubrick refers to as Nasdat (please don't ask me abot that one!). Third, get a load of those costumes and disguises Alex and his droogs wear! Fourth, the infamous rape scene (which turns some people off), which I won't care to elaborate further, and fifth, "A Clockwork Orange" was filmed in Jolly Olde England (you just gotta love those British accents!). Granted, when I first saw this movie some years ago, to be quite honest, I couldn't make heads or tales of what was going on! That's the beauty of watching a Stanley Kubrick masterpiece, in that he doesn't insult the average viewer's intelligence, so he leaves the viewer to use his or her own imagination as to why the nature of the plot in question occurred. So, there you have it. If this review doesn't persuade you to purchase this rather unique visual work of art, then I don't know what else to tell you, except to add "A Clockwork Orange" to your video library. Now, would someone please give me directions to the Korova Milk Bar?

Review: every one talks about this movie being all that but it really isn't, the film only has one person murederd in it, and many people raped in it. it really isn't anything, a much more violent movie at that time is texas chainsaw mascare .another problem in this movie is a great time of this film is shown him prison when he is a good person which is pretty stupid. my advice is to watch it and not buy it.

Review: This is one of my all time favorite movie and people are you suprized by that.probaly because i like a wide rane of movies. anyway this is great the flim really show kubricks genius. also it is one of the best book to scren adapation ever or a few minor things are changed. for example in the scene where alex brings the girls home from the record store in the book they where like 10 or 13. obvioulsy the movie had to change it.but anyway i love this movie. maybe next year there come out witha 30 annversary edition.

Summary: Master of all Masterpieces
Review: My favorite movie of all time. Why? From a technical standpoint, I'm most impressed with the timelessness of it. It looks and feels like a movie that could come out thirty years from now, rather than 30 years ago. It stays one step ahead of its time. It is the story of Alex (Malcolm McDowell), a conscienceless young predator, yet he appreciates the beautiful things life has to offer, like Beethoven. He and his three droogs drink milk laced with drugs which sharpen them up for a night of ultraviolence. There is a lot of sex and violience, but more suggestive rather than gratuitous and explicit. In the rape scene early on, we don't actually see it, we see the woman being held from behind by one of the characters while she squirms; the horror on her face shows all we need to know, anticipation of the violence that is to come. We're almost grateful we cut away. Despite its flash, dark humor, and mind-boggling sets, there is nothing glorified about the violence. The grittiest scene in the interrogation room after Alex's capture is also one of it's most powerful. Sometimes the film's subtlety shows so much more than a literal interpretation can. There is a brilliant scene in slow motion, and another in fast motion, neither would have had the same effect at regular speed. Only Stanley Kubrick could have made this film. He maintains Burgess's rich, sometimes odd language, but you always know what the characters are saying. What if Martin Scorsese had directed this? You'd have four Italian guys in a bar hitting each other with pool cues to the Marvelettes. Instead of saying "Great bulgy yarblockos" Robert DeNiro would say, "You have some set of balls talking to me like that." Did you know that the bodyguard, Julian, is David Prowse, the guy who wears the Darth Vader costume? All that aside, the story comes full circle, which I like. Free after his conditioning against sex and violence, Alex is unleashed into the World, at the mercy of his former victims, two of whom are now police officers. In another subtle yet powerful scene, he is clubbed one stroke at a time, the sountrack supplying a musical note for each one. (If only someone had a camcorder back then, it would put the LAPD to shame.) There are a few long scenes toward the end which slow it down, but there's a plot right up to the final frame. If you haven't seen "A Clockwork Orange," it's not for everybody, but highly recommended for anyone interested in cinema.

Review: It's funny to sit here and watch these self proclaimed experts talk about how bad this movie is. Stanley Kubrick was a man whose genius is still not completely understood to this day. He is simply put one of the best artists of the twentieth century. Lots of people don't understand his movies, even actors and various people in the industry, lots of people thought he was crazy, and lots of people saw nothing when they see A Clockwork Orange. This movie is one of Kubrick's crowning achievements. Even though it deviates from the book and has obvious errors with actors ages and stuff, it remains to this day one of the best movies ever made. Movies like this and Eyes Wide Shut are panned by critics and viewers for various reasons, all because they don't see it's brilliance. They don't see beyond the first row of trees. It's movies like this and 2001 which makes absolutely no sense at first watch, but after a lot of thinking and re-watching everything makes sense and falls into place and you finally realize the value of true art.

Summary: Misunderstood!
Review: This is the most misunderstood film ever. The fast forwarded sex scenes are not sexy, they're actually comic and the violence in this movie are comic too. I think that was the main problem because some idiots may interpret it as a film that glorifies violence and rape although the whole point of it is too repel it. And the scene where he knocks the waoman down with a giant penis is actualy very funny. What i think bothers people about it is that there's actually a point in the film where you start felling sorry for Alex; YOU actually start felling pity for this monster, this rapist and you don't understand why you feel that way!

Review: Ok, most of you have probably heard about or seen this movie. If you haven't seen this movie, you must. It is probably one of the most interesting movies that have been made in a long time. It's yummy at parts, but yucky at other parts. All in all, I give it five starts.

Review: I'm not a big Stanley Kubrick fan by all means, but I must say this movie is the finest piece of work that man has ever done! I do enjoy Kubrick's later films like The Shining and Full Metal Jacket, but A Clockwork Orange, IMHO, is his masterpiece. Malcolm McDowell, even though I'm not a big fan of him either, should have won the Oscar for his performance as Alex. Hell, this movie should've won Best Picture! A Clockwork Orange set the standard for movies like this one to come like Natural Born Killers. A true masterpiece!

Summary: Kubrick's Vivid Universe
Review: Stanley Kubrick had the ability of always taking his viewers on a fantastic ride. He created new worlds for us to see,and this film is no exception. But one of the problems with this film and other works of art is,it's not accessible to everyone. Many will be turned off by the film. I almost was myself. This is not an easy film to watch due to the intense images you see. But if you just hold it out,you'll find that you'll actually enjoy this picture. Astonishing production designs and costume designs. Everything about this film grabs your attention. Everything you see will stay with you long after you've watched this movie. I personally know,they're many things about this movie I'll never forget. Not Kubrick's best,but one every Kubrick fan should see,and not to mention filmbuffs. As with other Kubrick films,this one is a visual work of art.
