Summary: Friends don't let friends watch GoCaizer
Review: Alright you know the "Itchy and Scratchy" cartoons from the Simpsons? You know how they exagerate all of the cliches about cartoon violence for laughs. Now imagine if instead of american cartoons that they had exagerated the cliches from Anime as far as they could possibly go... and they aren't trying to be funny. Cut your expectations in half and you have GoCaizer... known by some viewers as CowGazer due to the absurdly drawn female characters who give softcorn pornography a bad name. The plot revolves around the fabled Caizer stones which give people the ability to take superhuman form. The villian's this evil entity called "The Omniforce" who has possesed a lookalike of Zechs from Gundam Wing and they're trying to destroy the earth with an army of anthropomorphic rastafarian blobs. That's about all I could make out of it... Seriously, it has a really confusing plot that makes absolutely less sense the more you try to think about it. The film also has this pair of incestous evil "Wonder Twins" types that turn into a disturbing demon-thing where their bodies are piled one on top of each other... ick. This film hurt me, badly.

Review: From the creator of Fatal Fury and Battle Arena Toshinden, this is one of the three video game titles that have been made into an anime from the same maker. While if you were to line up the three, most people would probably pick Fatal Fury because of its stretched out storyline and lovable characters. I, myself, prefer Gowcaizer overall because it offers great fighting, and some of the more top-of-the-line animation sequences in all of anime. Ok, so the characters look a little strange at times (over-sharp, too much detail), but if you give the development of the characters time, then you can overlook some of the poorer things about this movie.

Also, this movie is known for its ....well...."women"... For some reason, incest was used for two cases in this movie (between brother and sister), which is a little gross, but I could overlook it for the rest of the movie's good sides. Fan Service is probably a leading factor why guys will buy this movie, but for me it was the animation and fight scenes.

But all good things can't go without flaws! The DVD itself was very poor looking. Confusing at times too! You will find yourself in a maze when you enter the chapter selection menu, and the title menu is just three selections (language, chapter selection, other) with a giant "G" (for Gowcaizer) in the background. Very little effort was put into this DVD as far as menus were concerned. But I look on the bright side...some DVDs don't even have menus!! So I guess as long as they made an attempt I can live with it.

Overall, if you are into any of the following:

1. Fan Service
2. Good animation
3. Semi-good storyline
4. Masami Ohbari's other works

Then I reccomend you pick this one up...

Review: I bought this anime because I saw it a few years back and was put in awe by it. It had a great story, great animation, and even some nice english dubbing that puts many other titles to shame. I've seen quite a few anime, and by far this is the best.
I rented most of the other titles because I'm fairly cheap, but this one made me shell out money for the VHS and it was worth every cent! It contains just about everything, but nothing too explicit. For teenagers and up.

Summary: Not so great
Review: I can't help comparing this movie to Fatal Fury, since they have similar animation styles and were probably made by the same people. If you liked FF, you MIGHT like this one.

If what you liked about FF were the animation, character designs, and fight scenes, you will probably like this. Also, Voltage Fighters portrays its women the same as FF, that is, with lots of big bouncing breasts and gratuitous nudity. If you like this (as I wholeheartedly do) then this could be the movie for you. (If you don't I don't think anime is the hobby for you.)

If, however, you liked Fatal Fury because it had a well-developed plot, you might want to steer clear of this. The basic story is that there are good guys and bad guys (though which is which is not always clear), the bad guys want to destroy the earth, and the good guys want to stop them. If there was more to it than that (like, say, a reason for any of it) then I missed it completely.

For all its failings, though, this is a Japanese animation. Like almost all of them, it is a primarily visual treat, and in that way it's not half bad.

Summary: Weird yet interesting
Review: If you enjoyed other martial arts anime, this one would not make a bad addition to your collection. The movie has a very intersting and odd storyline (with different characters all fighting the same enemy on their own). The story can sometimes be confusing but that does not take away from this OVA in any way. The animation, charater design, and fight scenes are on par with fatal fury. This is truly an awesome DVD, but I just wish there was more of it.

Summary: Good anime.
Review: Many people may pass this off as generic. Well, I'll agree that it's generic, but it still doesn't make this a bad movie. In fact, it's probably the best video game-based anime out there next to Fatal Fury. Excellent artwork, good dubbing, and a pretty good techno soundtrack are in this movie. Any fan of video-game based anime should buy this. To clear up a statement, the movie isn't rated R. It's unrated. It'd probably be a PG-13.

Summary: cool movie
Review: This movie is good for all those who like anime and fighting combined into one. You'll also like if you like weird, but not sci-fi movies. This movies' content should not be seen by children who are imature. It has some parts where it shows naked people. THe movie has a ton to do with fighting. I do not recomend this to be seen by children under 13. Profanity is in little which is most likely good. It is rated R, I think. The context of this movie awesome. If you like anime this is a must-see. I would rate rate it 2 thumbs-up. It is awesoome with a ton of action and violence. It shows little blood and gore which is a sign of a clean movie. It has no sexual activity in it. Overall I'd have to try not to rely on this review, but see it for yourself and decide.
