Rating: Summary: TOO MUCH! (ba da da da) Review: I saw this when it was first aired (not gonna say how old I was) and it was the one Rankin-Bass special that really stuck with me. FOr years I tried to figure out which one special had the Heat Miser and the Snow Miser in it, and I finally narrowed it down and bought the video. Every year my friends and I (the ones born in the late 60's, early 70's who remember it)get drunk on eggnog and watch the 5 minutes with the HM & SM over and over, until we have the songs permanently stuck in our heads for the rest of the year. Actually, not only is the animation really cool, but the songs sound like something Danny Elfman would have written back in the early 80's (this is a good thing). Now that I think of it there is also a certain resemblance looks-wise, sorry Danny. Worth buying just for their scenes- a real show-stopper. And the only scene from that last horrible Batman movie with Mr. Freeze in it that I liked was when he watched it on TV in his hideout (remember?) Just a real fun movie to watch- buy it instead of just watching it on TV, it's worth it!
Rating: Summary: Manna from Heaven Review: This is by far and away the best Christmas special ever made (even better than the one with Burgermeister Meisterburger). I've been upset for years that they don't seem to show it any more, and I'm glad to have the opportunity to buy it. I womder why other reviewers seem to prefer Heat Miser; after all, Snow Miser is really the nicer guy, and a good friend of Santa.
Rating: Summary: Heat miser is the man Review: I grew up watching this classic of christmas and taped it some years ago when my children were young...good thing for it was not shown for a few years and it was my boy and girl's favorite. The holidays wouldn't be the same if not for the likes of these Rankin/Bass productions.
Rating: Summary: Awesome! Review: I watched this growing up, although it was not aired as much as the other holiday claymation shows. Remember the Heat Mizer and his mom, Mother Nature? Order it and have fun!
Rating: Summary: Best Christmas Special EVER!!!!!! Review: I absolutely LOVE this Christmas Special! I know that Miser Brothers' Songs are most peoples favorites, but the song "Everyone Wants to be Santa" is mine ... I know it sounds insane, but I used to want to be Mrs. Claus when I was little, so that song holds special meaning for me. I don't have kids yet, but I promise every Christmas-time they will be plopped in front of the TV watching this classic!
Rating: Summary: Great Family movie Review: I remember this movie as a child, and I've always tried to find it but have been unable to. This movie had it all, and was one that we enjoyed as a family. I could watch this movie year after year. I plan to purchase it to share the experience with my children.
Rating: Summary: Greatest movie for all the kids to grow up with!! Review: This movie is more popular in our house than Wizzard of Oz and Sound of Music...It makes our kids Hank and Charlie look forward to the Christmas season. A classic for all times!!
Rating: Summary: A favorite Christmas Classic Review: Everyone thought I was nuts when I would sing the heat miser song. This Classic hasn't been played on television in our area in 13 years. It played this year and now I own it. I want my children to enjoy it as much as I did.
Rating: Summary: This is a GREAT show! Review: I have watched this cartoon every year since I was a little girl, and have never been able to find it in the stores. I am so glad to have finally found it! A wonderful story with great music and characters. My entire family knows the music and we are easily found around Christmas singing the songs at the top of our lungs.
Rating: Summary: Holiday classic Review: I have looked for years for this video so I could convince my friends that I am not nuts about the Heat/Cold Miser song! I will watch it each Christmas and dance and sing with them!
