Summary: Good way to end
Review: This film is no where near the level of the first film. This however still places it ahead of a great many films. If you loved the first film like me than you will be willing to sit through some corny acting and fighting to get to the end where Leslie and Brigitte finally see each other again. The first film had a great open ending and this film ties up the loose ends nicely. Therefor if you loved the first movie buy this and see what really happens at the end, if you didn't love the first movie pretend leslie dies on the moutain.

Summary: The story continues, and the flower comes into play
Review: This first Bride with White hair was about Zhou Yi-Hang (Leslie Cheung), his character, his life, and his decisions. Bride with White Hair 2 is about Lian Nichang (Brigitte Lin) and her life after Zhou Yi-Hang's bad choice and treatment at the end of Bride with White Hair.

As Zhou Yi-Hang waits for the flower to bloom so he can restore Lian Nichang to her original form, and prove to her that he is truly sorry for his mistakes, Lian Nichang life continues. She is bitter, angry, and a bonafide man hater, and she takes it out on the clans viciously, while recruiting other women to join in her onslaught of men (though most of the men she tortures and kills deserve it, and their histories of abusing women are depicted).

Unfortunately, Zhou Yi-Hang's nephew, Kit, is about to get married and is also one of the last Wu-Tang swordsman left, and finds himself caught up in Lian Nichang revenge plot. On his wedding night Lian Nichang storms the Wu-Tang clan house, kills almost everyone left in the clan, wounds him badly (though he escapes of course), and steals his wife to turn her into a fellow man hater.

Therefore, the story begins in Bride with White Hair 2 w/Kit trying to rescue his wife, w/assistance from a band of useless characters from all eight clans trying to help him. As a last resort, he turns to his uncle Zhou Yi-Hang, who is still waiting for the flower to blossom. Will Zhou Yi-Hang leave his post by the flower to save the last of the Wu-Tang clan swordsman, one of which is his nephew?

This movie again is very pleasing to the eyes, but has even less martial arts action then the first. The story is still fantastic, and as I said in my review for the first one: they should have never broke up the two movies into 1 hour and 28 minutes and 1 hour and 18 minutes, and just made it one movie.

Summary: Great Movie..but watch Part 2 first..
Review: This is a great movie and well done. The only bad thing here is that, Part 2 was suppose to come out before part 1. Becuz after watching part 1, you get the feeling you want to watch part 2 with hopes of the characters continuing just like that.. Trust me, this is one of the great movies ever, watch 2 first, you would be craving to watch part 1.. And there ya go, you would watch it over again.. Well Done..

Summary: Worthy Sequel
Review: This is a great sequel to The Bride With White Hair. Unlike what most people seem to think, this is one of the best sequels ever. Don't expect the same emotion and mystic throughout the film, but the end is just beautifull. So many Hollywood movies SHOULD NOT end with a happy ending(typical Hollywood) but I can't imagine this ending any other way. Watch it if you loved the first one. This is more for action fans but as I said, it lives up to The Bride With White Hair.

Summary: a victim of sequalitis
Review: this movie was a pretty good sequel to the first one. but it should have been better. i think that if it werent for the acting ability of brigitte lin this movie would have been a flop. dont get me wrong its a good movie but when you compare it to the first one you can tell it falls short and carries all the symptoms of sequalitis. the best part of the whole movie, which about 90 min. in length, is the end scenes. even though i give it a lower rating i would recommend getting this one, or you will never know how the story ends.

Summary: EVERYTHING BAD ABOUT A SEQUEL IS HERE
Review: Unfortunate that this movie fell pray to the sequel curse. The first BRIDE showed promise, and it had that great open ending that left you waiting for the next movie to finish the story. Then, along comes BRIDE 2 and all you get is a ho-hum retread and nothing new or exciting like the first one. BRIDE 2 has its moments, but it lacks the steam and freshness that the first BRIDE had. Its worth watching, just dont get your hopes up for this to be as nearly good as the first.

Review: well as a Brigitte Lin Chin Hsia Fan, i would say that part 2 wasen't all that cause part 2 can't even compare with part 1 but, the story line is kinda dull but, this movie is sooo dam worth siting and staring at the screen just to see the end. where Brigitte and Leslie comes back together as Brigitte white hair turn back to black (cause they forgave each other and kiss while i guess they died while makine out haha) so worth sit through all them exta stuff just to see the end! but, if you haven't seen part 1 then i really suggest that you should see part 1. well if you didn't like part 1 then you souldn't get part 2 just think of it as leslie died in the moutain waiting for the rose! haha And of course you should see Brigitte Lin other movies such as Peking Opera Blues......etc
