Summary: Another Brigitte Lin winner
Review: Simply one of the best Hong Kong movies I have ever seen. It is a wonderful mix of fantasy, swordplay, wire-fu, a great musical score, Brigitte Lin never more gorgeous, all of which is the overlay of what is a very touching romance. This combination makes for an immensely entertaining film. The DVD version delivers a very good picture, excellent sound, and a Cantonese or Mandarin soundtrack, with adequate subtitles, so you don't have to listen to the awful dubbing job. A perfect introduction, along with Peking Opera Blues, to the cinema of Hong Kong.

Review: The cinematography in this film is incredible. It really is a remarkable film. Its tragic ending makes you yearn for more. The sequel, unfortunately, is not as good as the original. If anyone has been able to find the soundtrack please contact me.

Review: This is a powerful love story, and I recommend the second part to anyone who believes in the power of rebuilding and healing. The "Bride with White Hair" has a most romantic character, who tries so hard to do what is right, but ends up with the opposite. And the heroine suffers much for their love but ends with betrayal. There is a huge misunderstanding in this story. When both clan hate each other, it is very hard to trust that one person you believe to be true, when he/she is from the enemy side. There is great cinematography and a soul-touching soundtrack. Brigitte Lin and Leslie Cheung are perfect for the role.

Review: This is my first Hong Kong action film, and I'm hooked. I can't wait to see "Bride 2". And, yes, if you love Xena, you're in for a real treat with this film. Go for it!!

Summary: Forever changed my opinion of Hong kong movies
Review: I saw this movie late at night on t.v. and from the instant the beginning credits rolled to the moment it ended I was captivated by this movie. The cinematography was exquisite, the storyline beautiful, the music, everything about this movie is a feast for the senses. One viewing of this movie was enough to convince me to add it to my permanent video collection. Even if you're dead set against foreign movies, if you like fantasy movies (i.e. Willow, Legend, etc...) give this a try - you might be surprised

Summary: The Most Action Packed Romance Ever
Review: I first was introduced to this movie as a curiosity. Being a great fan of Xena: Warrior Princess, I learned that one of many influances on the shows creators were Ronny Yu's "The Bride with White Hair" and after viewing this spectacular film 5 times in a row, I love it!!! I'll be it is somewhat hard to follow at times, because there is some much to see, the cinematography is amazing and the scenery is beautiful, even during a war, But, if you give it a chance, this film is worth watching. If your a fan of high paced gory action, Xena, romantic love against all odds or fanasty adventures, this movie is for you. Just make sure you have a lot of popcorn handy because you won't want to move from your seat until the film is over....

Review: This was one of the best romance/fantasy movies I have ever seen! If you liked movies like Legend you'll love this. Also great movies for action fans. Lots of terrific special effects and action scenes with incredible stunts.

Summary: Romeo & Juliet meet the martial arts
Review: This is an intelligent and rewarding movie by almost any standard. It is as good as anything produced in the US or Europe. Combining fantasy, romance and tragedy, the movie could have been an opera had the characters begun to sing. Brigitte Lin plays Moonlight, the wolf-girl, who saves young Lian's (Leslie Cheung) life when they are children. Lian grows up to become a charismatic leader and ladies' man. Both grow up to become champions of their respective clans, only to meet again in combat and fall in love. In spite of resistance from their clans, the two could be happy together for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately Lian forgets his vows to Moonlight leading to heartbreak and a high body count.

Review: this movie is the best! I recomend it to any one, I bought it because it was mentioned as a influence for the Xena tv show. The plot and action are excelent. Even if you don't care about xena, try this video. If you believe love conqers all or betrayal deserves revenge then you will love this video too
