Summary: The war...is here!
Review: I just saw this movie today here in San Salvador, El Salvador, God knows how we got to see it 3 days before it hit theaters in the US, but we got it!
I will not bad mouth X-men 1, but I what I WILL say is that 2 is soooo much better. I guess it has to do more with the fact that we see so many more special effects, with the mutants using their powers every minute or so, and a lot of action going on. I really liked the scene were Pyro goes after the Boston cops who go after the gang while in Iceman's home, and when Wolverine gets shot in the forehead (cool part).
Not being an x-men fan (besides the movies, that is), it was also really cool to see Magneto and the chick who turns into anyone she wants cooperate with the good guys...for a while. I won't spoil it for you, so I won't tell you who dies in the end, but I will say it's really cool to see what Magneto can do with a couple of what looks to be ball bearings...
Anyway, it was a great flick, and I'm looking forward to seeing it again, might even want to go for the DVD once they come out. I kind of wished one could have an "instant cassette" like in "Spaceballs" and be able to own it even before the movie is finished...I liked it so much. When is 3 coming out?

Summary: The Best Marvel Movie...
Review: I have read the book for this movie, and it was fantastic. And, since the book is pretty much the movie, I know that it wont suck. In fact, it looks like X-Men 2 will be a lot better than the first. More action, more Iceman, and more Storm. That's what I'm looking forward too. The trailers look amazing, and the scenes I've seen so far are wonderful. I can't wait to see this on the big screen, and this will defianitly be the best movie from Marvel comics.

Summary: Three TV versions of "X-Men 1", and the new "X2"
Review: I first saw this film when it premiered on the FOX network. When I rented the theatrical version I saw they cut out Logan looking at his knuckles when he is thrown out of the bar, Rouge commenting on his trailer, Charles Xavier telling him that anonymity is a mutant's best friend and that he will help him find out what is going on, Jean Grey talking to Logan in his room followed by Scott tellling him to 'Stay away from my girl', Bobby 'Iceman' saying he dosen't know why Rogue didn't show up for lunch, Xavier asking Scott if he doesn't like Logan with Scott responding 'How did you guess?' and Prof. X saying 'I am telepathic, you know', Logan telling Scott that he wasn't the one who 'Put a sun roof in the train station', and later asking why they go out in the ridiculous outfits with Scott's response of 'Would you prefer yellow spandex?'.

When the movie had it's FX premiere last night at 8:00 p.m. eastern, these same scenes were gone but they added the originally deleted scene of Dr. Jean Grey putting on the mind read thingy. When I woke up later that night I turned on the TV to see what scene the midnight eastern showing was on and I saw that they had inserted the extended scene where Jean reads Logan's mind in the bedroom. Why couldn't they show that part when they aired it the first two times! They may have shown the complete version at midnight! At this rate you have to watch all the TV versions to see the entire movie!

On another note my father and I were disapointed that the first film wasn't exciting. Aa a matter of fact, when my dad saw the silent animatics for some of the action sequences he remarked, 'They should have made the whole movie this way'.

"X2" looks like it will be a good action film, and I hope to see it. My dad might even enjoy this one.

We know Patrick Stewart form watching 'Star Trek', Ian McKellen from 'The Lord of the Rings', Halle Berry from that Pepsi commercial and 'Die Another Day', and Hugh Jackman from his 180 role in 'Kate & Leopold'.

Maybe I should attend the new film as Scott Summers wearing his red visor. I'm sure they sell one at the local Toys R' Us.

Summary: Only a preview
Review: I have seen the trainler for this movie, sounds like a horribly exiting film. Even though I'm a girl, i like X - men. I saw my favorite in the preview, Shadow Cat. So this movie will have the new ones from evolution. It's gonna be so cool.

Summary: Better than the first!
Review: X-Men 1 was a great film. I'd been waiting a long time for it to be released and when it was I wasn't disappointed. X-Men 2 is going to be even better. With new characters like Nightcrawler(Alan Cumming), Yuriko Oyama A.K.A. Lady Deathstrike(Kelly Hu),Jubilee(Kae Wong), Colossus(Daniel Cudmore),and General Stryker(Brian Cox), it should be good. (General Stryker is the man who put the metal into Wolverine's body). Also, Iceman(Shawn Ashmore) and Pyro(Aaron Stanford) will play bigger roles. For the plot, I beleieve that Magneto will break out of his maximum security prison. Then he and the X-Men will team up against Stryker, who launches attacks on the Xavier Mansion. Beast and Gambit will not be in the film. I'm still very excited to see this movie.

Summary: X-MEN 2 FILM REVIEW. WE WANT DETROIT
Review: There are a lot of people waiting for this film and it will deliver, I can't wait to see Alan Cummings as Nightcrawler...the one thing most fans wanted though, was to see the film being made in Detroit. Detroit, Michigan played a good part in the Cartoon, as the Sentinel home base. They need to show 313 City in the X-MEN Movies. After "8 Mile", Detroit has reinvented itself as a promotable Filming Location. Why was Bobby (Iceman) from Boston? Why can't he be from Detroit?

Summary: "B" Movie with class "A" Actors
Review: The whole premise of there being of a mutant population throughout the world is the first thing that makes this movie lose its edge. For example, How interesting would it be to watch Superman if every other person in this world possessed similar powers. Nevertheless, if this concept was done right lets say with an apocolyptic or cryptic view, may be it could have been pulled off but, this movie consistantlhy loses its focus on the hero's and villians. It jumps from scene to scene senselessly. Even the X-Men's looked more like a group of plain people that put on their cheap holloween costumes. Hugh Jackman did a descent job of posing as the wolverine with his side burns but, were is the rest of the outfit?. It seemed like the script and special effects were rushed in this film.
Overall X-men is a decent movie that should have been a classic on a par with the Superman series and Batman 1 and 2, however it ends being a notch below.

Summary: The war is coming...
Review: Following in the tradition of great movie sequels like THE GODFATHER PART 2, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and T2, the sequel to Marvel's action blockbuster X-MEN looks set to not only outdo the original in terms of incredible action, great characters and amazing special effects, but also reach the heights of a "Better than the first one" sequel. And like many series, this one looks set to be much darker in tone than the first one. Almost all the cast have returned; Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Halle Berry as Storm and Ian McKellen as the metal-moving menace Magneto. According to the previews, the action ante has been considerably "Upped". Fans who were disappointed at the first one in terms of nose-bleeding excitement will be happily surprised says Director Brian Singer. Singer has also said that this one will centre more on the other mutants in the first one (Rather than just Wolverine) and introduce some great characters from the comics including Nightcrawler, Beast, Gambit, Jubilee and Iceman. Fans (Myself included) are very excited about what looks set to be one of the most amazing films of 2003. That said, the first X-MEN was a great action film, and the ever-present law of diminishing returns is a major factor. But with such a great ensemble of talent on board, this one looks like a bonafide winner.

Summary: super-mutants return
Review: The first Marvel Comics movie i've seen was "Blade" back in 1998 and hooked on the X-Men cartoons ever since, even though I never read the books. When I purchased the original "X-Men" movie on VHS when it first came to stores, I really liked how the super heroes came together to defend the human race from their evil mutant counterparts, even though the humans are afraid and hate them. I'm looking forward to checking out the sequel next year and buy it on DVD when it's ready.

Summary: Grab ahold of something... X2 is going to rock your world!
Review: X-Men 2 is based on a X-Men graphic novel called, "God Loves, Man Kills". Considered one of the best stories ever told in the X-Men universe! In X2, the main baddie is a man named Gen. William Striker who leads an assault against the X-Men... at the school! Joining Striker will be Yuriko Oyama, aka Lady Deathstrike, Mystique and other mutant baddies along with Striker's own forces. In the movie, Gen. Striker holds the keys to Wolverine's past in which he is so desperately seeking. X2's final major battle takes place at the abanded military base at Alkali Lakes which Professor X told Wolverine about in the first movie. Mutant cameos include Gambit, Colossus and many, many more. Unfortunately, Beast's cameo has been cut and there will be no Danger Room scene or Sentinel action. But this movie sounds action packed, unlike the first one, and will be the "Empire Strikes Back" of this franchise.
