Rating: Summary: I love it! Review: I heard all of the bad reviews. Roger Ebert has said it is one of the worst movies ever made. Yet I can't help but find this movie endlessly fascinating. Micheal Ironside is cool as the guy out to get McCloud. This movie isn't a masterpiece in film, but it sure is entertaining. I am a shameless fan of all three of these movies. It was nice to see Connery back in the same role the highlander fans love.
Rating: Summary: Yuck! Review: This movie is a joke! I heard the bad reviews but I never thought the movie could be that bad. The first was one of my favorite movies ever. Only the true die-hard fans should even consider watching this hope-crushing sequel. I just ordered no.3 and I am anxious to see how that one turned out.
Rating: Summary: Bad...but had a cool look Review: This is a bad movie. I cannot beign to describe the plot...let's just say, "Stuff happens...and then they fight." I give it two stars because it has a nice look. Like a low-rent Gotham City.
Rating: Summary: the most confusing movie i've ever seen Review: making a sequel to the original highlander was a very stupid idea. and what do you get? a stupid sequel.
Rating: Summary: Loved Highlander...What movie is THIS thing a sequel to?? Review: Okay, I'm not going to get all critical here and analyze all the little points and argue continuity etc. etc. This movie just plain sucks. If you loved HIGHLANDER, don't buy this movie. Rent it, borrow it from a friend, be creative and make up a sequel on your own, but don't buy it. Sorry folks, but an appearance by Connery doesn't save a movie this terrible. Campy, hokey, cheesy and lame are good words to use in describing this movie. Truly an insult to any fan following of the original. Amazon doesn't have a 1/2 star rating -- if they did this movie qualifies.
Rating: Summary: Neat! Review: A lot of people do not like this movie. Why? It is about Conor Mcloude and protecting his sield. Number 1 is a lot better but check it out. It's alot better than 3.
Rating: Summary: There should have been only one! Review: I have suffered through this film a grand total of three times. The first time was because I didn't know any better. The second time was because of a promise made to a friend. However, being warned by my previous experience, I took a massive pitcher of mixed drinks with me to the viewing. It didn't help. The film was so bad it shocked me back sober. Every time I got a nice buzz on, something so profoundly awful as to drive even the mildest euphoria from my system flashed on screen. And the third viewing? That was at the request of a young lady whom I didn't feel like saying "No" to, but seeing this flick for the third time changed all that. I can proudly say that Highlander II is more powerful than either booze or romance through the sheer weight of its awfulness. And no, I didn't like it, just in case you were wondering. I'd give it zero stars if I could, or even take back stars from other movies to demonstrate the gravitational pull of its wretchedness. This is a black hole of a film, an airless, lightless mass so dense that neither plot, acting nor charm can escape its relentless tug into the dark.
Rating: Summary: UM....OK. Review: I LIKED THE MOVIE WHEN IT FRIST CAME OUT. MAYBE CUZ I WAS LITTLE AN DID'NT REALLY PAY ATTIENTION ANYWAY. BUT I DID RENT IT AN SEE I DID'NT UNDERSTAND IT LIKE THE I UNDERSTOOD THE FRIST ONE.THE FRIST ONE WAS EASY THIS ONE WAS CONFUSING.BUT I DO LIKE THIS DVD OK. BUT I THINK PART 3 GOES BETTER WITH PART 1 THEN THIS ONE DOES. BUT THE PICTURE IS BETTER AN THE SOUND IS GREAT. SO I SAY BUY IT.
Rating: Summary: Ahhhh! Badness! Review: PAIN! That is what this movie is. PAIN! I loved the original Highlander, it was fantastic and is one of my top ten movies, but this... thing... doesn't even deserve the whole star I gave it. The story itself is stupid, and to make it even worse, it totally contradicts the first movie. I'm guessing the third Highlander was a way for the writer's to say "we're sorry." This movie was dull, stupid, and senseless. The one and only thing that it has going for it, is that the writer's know how to write comedy.
Rating: Summary: Why is it like this? Review: I thought the movie was alright except for the fact that it started in the past. The past of what?! When in Earth's past was there a race of humans with the power to send themselves into the future? And when they did get sent to the future, how come MacLeod was mortal until he was stabbed by the Kurgan. He grew up in that town... he had cousins and stuff... he didn't suddenly appear one day out of thin air like the guys in this one did. That, and why did MacLeod just remember that he was born in the deep past and was the leader of an army along with Ramirez? What makes someone forget that?! With all of the plot wholes, it still had good action and Sean Conery.
