Rating: Summary: Better than the first! Review: This movie was way better than the first! I think that Lugia is the 2nd best and cutest pokemon! (Mew being the first)! I may be 13 and a little old to see it, but I LOVE Pokemon! I already saw it twice and plan on seeing it once more and when it comes out on video I will buy it the first thing! I like Tracy more than Brock and his pokemon are neat! I like how Ash's pokemon (even Charizard) had faith in him and he wouldn't give up! It was cyte how Misty told Melody her feeling's for Ash and I hope he finds out and it goes Further!
Rating: Summary: A VERY GREAT MOVIE! Review: I LOVE this movie! It starts off with the OVA: "Pikachu's Rescue Adventure". While Ash and friends take a short nap, Togepi see's some new Pokemon named Ladyba, and wanders off in curiousity. As a result: it trips, rolls down a hill, Pikachu and all of our hero's smaller sized Pokemon, chase after Togepi. Togepi ends up rolling down a hole under a humongous tree. Pikachu and other Pokemon watch in horror. But Psyduck is a minute to late, and can't stop running, it crashes into everyone, and everyone has a painful, long, bouncy, way down. Then they reach the end, and are about to land very heavily on the ground to a certain doom. But... the same group of Ladyba that Togepi saw, catches them, and they view where they are. Pokemon Valley. It is beautiful, and pretty and all Pokemon live peaceful there. Weak and strong, rare and common, smart and dumb. They are bound to have a good day, while at the same time, get Togepi back, and get back before their Trainers awaken, but a mix up with some Exegcutes, and a humongous and dangerous storm just may prevent that... Then, it was on to the main feature film. We see three islands. Each belonging to either, Moltres, Zapdos, or Articuno. We then see a humongous advanced ship. We see the person inside it. His name is Jirarudan. He is a collector. And he wants the best collection yet... having gone through Religious material, he was able to find an old Revelation. And has a copy of it. It go's like this: "Disturb not the harmony Of fire ice or lightning, Lest these titans wreak destruction Upon the world in which they clash Though the water's great guardian Shall arise to quell the fighting, Alone its song will fail, Thus the world shal turn to ash/Ash Into thine hands Bring together all three The treasures combined Tame the beast of the sea From the trio of islands, Ancient spheres shall you take For between life and death, All the difference you'll make. Climb to the shrine To right what is wrong And the world will be healed By the guardian song." Jirarudan believes the ancient Religious Revelation, and has been able to discover that the Titans are the Legendary Birds. So, he starts his attack. He freezes over Fire Island, soon Moltres attacks! He shoots out electric rings which encage it, and Moltres is brought to his ship. Now he needs 2 more, Zapdos and Articuno. Then doing so will summon what he TRULY wants- the ancient guardian, Lugia. What will happen now? Ash gets involved in the Legend by accident while at an ancient ceremony with everyone, after a crash landing on the island. Now the world needs HIM to get the three ancient spheres. But things are going for the worse... what will happen... will Jirarudan get all the birds first, or will Ash get the spheres first? But even after, what if the three Birds go out of control and try to stop Ash, and what if Lugia is no match for them, or even worse, what if Jirarudan aims at Lugia? It will be hard for Ash to fulfill his role in the prophecy, but with the help of, Pikachu, Lugia, Misty, Melody, Tracey, and TEAM ROCKET!? He may be able too fulfill his role in... "The Power Of One" GREAT MOVIE! And I recommend it to all Pokemon anime fans! ^_^
Rating: Summary: A 13 Year Old Who Saw Pokemon2000 Review: I loved it! This movie was way better than the first. and I loved getting Ancient Mew. I especially liked the part where Misty gives all those signs that she likes Ash. When Ash, Misty, Jessie, James, and Meowth were talking about ' Oppisite Sex' It was funny. Jessie:*to Misty* ...whatever you do, don't trust the opposite sex. * I gasped at this* James:That's one aspect I've managed to keep away from... Meowth:Well, you two may not trust the opposite sex but, hey, ya have each other. Jess/James:What do you mean?! * I started laughing. Another quote I liked: Jessie:For once we're good guys. James:That's good. Meowth:What if the boss finds out? James:That's bad. Jessie:Then we'll start our own team of good guys! James:That's good! Meowth:But we have no cash. James:That's bad. Jessie:We can steal some. James: That's good...or is that bad? If you haven't seen it yet, see it know!
Rating: Summary: The Best Pokemon Movie Yet Review: Well, all I have to say is that the movie was great. I have the Japenese Version on laserdisc already and can watch it anytime. I have also been to the theaters and seen it and it was awesome. Overall I'd give this movie a five star rating and say that it is one that everyone should watch.
Rating: Summary: "Disturb not the harmonies of Fire, Ice, or Lightning..." Review: This is one of the best movies of the whole summer! It was much better than the original movie.(Although that one was good too.) It has awesome special effects, a great story line, and of course plenty of action. This time Ash and his friends crash land on an island right in the middle of the Orange Islands. The habitants there have a ritual where they choose some one to be "The Chosen One" and the one chosen must find three crystal balls each with the elements of Fire, Ice, and Lightning. .... Unlike Pikachu's Vacation, The mini-movie Pikachu's Rescue Adventure, has action in it so it makes it a much more entertaining mini movie. Over all this is one of the best movies of the summer. .... ...GO SEE THIS MOVIE! IT ROCKS! IT'S EXCITING, HAS A GREAT PLOT, AND AWESOME SPECIAL EFFECTS! I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT!

Rating: Summary: This Movie Rules! Review: The Mini-Movie was ok, but not as exciting as Pikachu's Vacation. When the real thing started, it was too awesome to resist. If Ash, Team Rocket, and Lugia had not worked together, it would be bye-bye.

Rating: Summary: Not as impressed as I'd hoped to be. Review: I'm a 33 year old mom and I've seen this movie twice in the theatres. I'm a bit of a Pokemon fan myself and my kids are big collectors of anything Pokemon. I never saw the first Pokemon movie (although we own it on dvd and the kids have seen it many times.) Here are my thoughts on Pokemon 2000: the sound effects reminded me of Star Wars sound effects - very, very good. The music was also excellent. I would say Oscar nomination material for the music, but of course, THAT would never happen. the storyline was MUCH better than the tv cartoon series. It was actually a pretty good story, original and much more depth to it than the series. There were some awfully funny jokes in there, and I really liked the characters. We even get to see Team Rocket being amazingly (for them) good-spirited, which gave them more depth than I've seen in the series. The story supported a high purpose, ethical behavior, helping others, heroism, working as a team, respecting the forces of nature, and folklore is an important element. It's a morally uplifting story, and I can recommend it for that reason. I think all the Pokemon were in this movie in some capacity, and that was fun to see. Pikachu is just adorable, as are some of the others. the animation was really not very good and had some odd elements thrown in together. The characters were the same simple line drawings (colored in) as in the cartoon series, and most of the backgrounds looked slapped together. The feeling I got from the background drawings and the drawings of the Pokemon characters, was that it was done as quickly and inexpensively as possible. Only in a few instances did I feel the backgrounds looked really great. For instance, the inside of an airship had this awesome ceiling -- cherubs on a cloud background, like you might find in an old church in Italy or France. Really beautiful. Then you'd see this cheesy animated character moving in the foreground and it simply made it look out of place. Really out of place. The outside of the airship looked like it was computer animation -- and like it came out of the dad's workshop in Chitty Chitty Bang! Bang! -- dozens of spinning propellers and old looking metal holding it all together. But the inside was beautiful marble and that gorgeous ceiling and advanced computers and a villain that could have been played by David Bowie. All these elements together were distracting, I thought. I kept thinking about how the pieces didn't fit, how the characters looked cheesy and the background was insultingly cheap. I wish they had gone for a higher quality production -- they definitely made enough money from Pokemon products to afford better drawings. The bottom line, though, is that the kids liked it. My older kids weren't really excited about it, but enjoyed it. My 6 year old and 3 year old were enthralled. This is one for the kids to watch on video -- on a Saturday evening when the parents are out and a sitter is over.
Rating: Summary: GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL! Review: Wow, this movie ruled. To me it was even better than the first movie. It had alot of very funny stuff, and showed alot of my favorite pokemon: Psyduck. I think poke-maniacs will love this movie, my mom did so even some adults will like it! So go see it, and if you see it during the first week you'll get an official Ancient Mew game card! Cool, huh?
