Summary: Pokemon the Movie 2000
Review: I believed this movie to be exceptionally good, as to the fact that nothing went slowly to put on extra time. It was enirely story, and a great one at that. The fact that it was extremely action packed and it had a horde of new pokemon was a great way to earn, in my opinion, 10 stars, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a pokemon fan. I also think it's good because it has some jokes adults will understand. Ultimatly, I come to my conclusion that this movie was just plain cool!

Summary: Pokemon, not just for kids.
Review: First of all, let me begin by saying that I am 30 years old, and I think that Pokemon is one of the best things to come along in a very long time.

I had seen Pokemon the Movie 2000, (or Revelation Lugia as it is called in Japan) and I will say, all in all that I was very impressed with the story and the music in this film. The animation is not first rate by any means, but it really isn't all that bad either. Believe me, I have seen much worse.

I feel that the common misconception about Pokemon is that Pokemon deals with an on-going story, kind of like a "soap-opera" in a sense. Those who don't follow the series will of course have a much more difficult time in understanding the characters and the overall story than someone who does follow the series. Star-Trek, The X-Files and other such series are no different in this regard.

I feel that Pokemon can bring magic and a very powerful meaning without condoning violence to anyone who is involved about it. Pokemon tells one that it is okay to dream and have goals. Believe me, I cannot say that about too many other series in this day and age.

Summary: Excellent Continuation of the Pokémon Saga!
Review: This movie is, like all other Pokémon-related products an excellent release! Despite my friends telling me how stupid this product is, I don't care. I love Pokémon, and always will. This movie only adds to my "fandomosity." And also, this is where Tracy makes his big debut in theaters. :o)

Summary: Disappointed with the 1st one? This is a 100% improvement!
Review: Pokemon: the 1st movie didn't go over too well with critics or viewers(I thought it was pretty good, but it was NOTHING compared to the second one.) Firstly, there are no mistakes in this one. Secondly, it makes a lot more sense-meaning adults will like it-and it's more exciting. Even the mini-movie in the beginning is better. (Pikachu and its pals follow Togepi to a magical garden, and many Pokemon, old and new, work togther during a storm there.) Anyway, the plot for this movie is very imaginative: In an attempt to capture all 3 legendary birds for his collection, this crazy collector guy starts a huge weather problem that will soon destroy the world(because the birds control the weather)if Ash doesn't bring together the three treasures from each island-Articuno's, Zapdos's, and Moltres's. Once he does that, Lugia is summoned from the ocean, and he puts an end to the problem. It's all very fast-paced and fun, and I just can't wait to watch it again(and again and again...) Ash, Misty, and Tracy are all in it, and if you look closely at one part you can see Brock running around with kids in the back of a TV screen. But that's it for him, and even though I hate him anyway, sorry to Brock fans! Still, Poke-people will ADORE this movie. Especially if you happen to agree with me that Team Rocket is the best part of everything Pokemon. They are very important to this move, seeing as how Ash NEEDS them to save the world(watch it, you'll find out how!) At one point they actually agree to give their lives to "potect the world from devestation", and I was fretting for the rest of the film until I found out they were OK! But this is a very funny, very, VERY worthwhile movie for Pokemon fans, so don't be turned away from it because the first wasn't as hot. They've done better!

Summary: A wonderful buy! Fans will NOT be disappointed!
Review: I'd like to start off by saying that I don't believe the dubbing in any of the Pokemon productions have been bad at all, especially the movies. The voice talent is exceptional, and the actors and actresses deserve out praise, not criticism. As for this movie specifically, it outshines the past movie and the show in all respects a million to one. I saw this movie with children of the target audience age, and even though I'm much much older, I even enjoyed this movie. Parents can relax for once. The animation was very good, and there WAS some semblance of a plot! And it was coherent! (a shock for children's productions) Best of all, in my opinion, was Team Rocket. They have a substantial role in this movie, and they finally get the respect I think they so deserve. Kudos to Eric Stuart and Rachael Lillis! I am looking forward to the next movie (hoping there is one...)

Summary: Exelent
Review: This movie is well, exelent. It takes place in the Orange Islands were the happaning of the world being destroed are happening. Ok was that confusing well lets try this again. The world is changing alot my climent and the center of it is in the Orange Islands. One guy is trying to capture these three one of a kind pokemon. There all birds one fire, one water, and the other eletric. And after he has them all he can capture another one of a kind pokemon bird that lives inthe ocean. He was doing very good intill Ash got in his way and realestes the 2 pokemon he already capture and from there the adventure beginnings. Ash has to get these three balls from each of the three islands the birds are from. And he runs into some trobles on the way but he dose save the world. Well I think thats about all I can say with out giving too much away. Oh, and one more thing this move is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than Pokemon the First Movie, Mewtwo striks back. And this movie shows you the power of one. Go see it TODAY!

Hope This Helped

Summary: Around five times better than the first movie...
Review: After reading several reviews about the original Japanese version, I learned that this movie was a LOT better than Mewtwo Strikes Back. I agree with them. This had more of a plot to it and it seemed much more adventure-some. Again, 4Kids re-composed the music for the English version, and after listening to some of the Japanese soundtrack, I'll have to say that I like the English score better than the Japanese one.

Although they didn't state the collector's name in the movie (which is Lawrence III), he is the typical villain. Out to get what he wants, using any needs neccesary, not caring what happens to anybody else.

This is a VERY good movie. Even those who aren't fans of Pokémon should really enjoy this movie!

Summary: My nine year old loved this movie.
Review: Hard to take if you are an adult, but fantastic if you are a nine-year old Pokemon fanatic. Animation quality - low. Take your kid to see this if, and only if, they like the TV show.
