Rating: Summary: Nothing but Rubbish Review: This movie starts out as a lame excuse to further a dead franchise and ends a lame excuse of a movie... period. there was no redeeming value to endgame the best part was the opening credits which lulled me into thinking I had come to a half way decent movie... not the garbage that they played on the screen. I loved the first Highlander movie but everything since those 2 lamers Davis and Panzer took the franchise has been putrid including this cesspool of tragic cinematic puke. Do Not See This Movie
Rating: Summary: Highlander: back on track Review: I have to admit, I have seen the movie in the theater, not the DVD, but I will be pre-ordering the DVD as soon as it is available. As an avid fan of the Highlander movies and the T.V. series, I was not disappointed in Highlander: End Game. I wish I could say the same about The Quickening. Highlander EG restablishes everything we have learned about the immortals from the original film and the series. It marries the stories of Conor and Duncan McLeod in a way that is spellbinding. HEG wisely includes the Watchers in this latest installment as well as Duncan's old (literally) friend, Methos. I have to say I was surprised that Amanda was not included in the movie. This DVD is definitely worth adding to your Highlander DVD collection. I can't wait to watch it again, hopefully with some deleted scene footage! There can be only one! (I am so glad they don't mean the movie!)
Rating: Summary: A whole new Highlander Review: Throwing out the badly damaged timeline created by Highlander 2 & 3 this new chapter hands the torch to Adrian Paul and Duncan McLeod. a well crafted movie that mends the broken mythos of the Highlander films this movie shows a great deal about both of the McLeods and does a wonderfull job preapring us for what I hope will be a new series of movies to come.
Rating: Summary: Caribou100 Review: Highlander:Endgame is a good movie with exellent sword fights. The only bad point is that Conner MacLeod seems like a completely different person than in the other Highlander films or even in the first episode of Highlander The Series.
Rating: Summary: Great Movie in the Series Review: This was a truly an epic movie. The teaming of Connor and Duncan MacCloud was awesome. The fight scenes were amazing as well as the acting. If you enjoyed the original Highlander this one will not dissappoint. Go see it.
Rating: Summary: I Wish There Could Be Only One Review: Well, it's finally happened. Highlander has officially become unbearable. In the beginning, there was Highlander, and everyone saw it and it was good. Then came Highlander II, which was half as good as the first and twice as enigmatic. The came Highlander: The Final Dimension. Here's where it got plain stupid. But Highlander has finally sunk to a new low. The character's are but mere shadows of the formal glory, especially Connor, who has been transformed in a hopeless melodramatic husk of his once powerful self. Furthermore, this fourth installment has more or less put any previous conception of a chronology through the shredding machine. My advice? Save your money for a sword and trying filming your own Highlander movie. It would probably make more sense.
Rating: Summary: Highlander: End Game ... Is it really the END? Review: As a die-hard fan of the Highlander television series I truly enjoyed this Adrian Paul fix that I've been pining for the last couple of years since the show ended. If you have never watched the Highlander show you will be slightly lost since this flick does have a few reoccuring characters - relationships between Duncan McLeod, Methos & the watcher Joe. But if you are a big fan you will enjoy the scenes of comraderie between Duncan & Conner as well as the story line, action and of course the ever present question: Is this really the end?
Rating: Summary: Highlander at it's best! Review: This movie was absolutely incredible. Filled with flashbacks, this one finally tells the story of the relationship between Connor and Duncan. It takes mostly from the t.v. series, but elements from the original film are still there. It ignores Highlander 2(thank god) and Highlander 3. Instead, of Connor winning the prize in 1985, he only defeated the Kurgan. Hopefully, they will take this opertunity to make the Highlander franchise successful once again. Adrian Paul at his best. The best acting job Christopher Lambert has ever done! Bruce Payne ("Kell") talks a little too much, but I prefer that to the aggressiveness of Kurgan and Kane. The best in the series.
Rating: Summary: Just Like the Tv show Review: Look, most people that saw this movie were critics that dubbed the original Highlander movie "the worst movie of 1986." But even non-Highlander fans loved the original movie. You do not trust a critic with a Highlander film. What most people dont understand is that Highlander 1 and 3 were the only two films that truly connected. They both ended with Conner Macleod being the last immortal. If you watch Highlander 2, dont try to compare it to the other films. The series is based on a totally different character named Duncan Macleod and has Conner Macleod in it also. But it is a separate story! People keep trying to connect all of the films and the series together. It does not work that way. Keeping that in mined, Highlander Endgame is like a 2 parter of the series. It shows just how good Adrian Paul and Christoper Lambert are as actors. This movie made me extreamly sad when i walked out of the theater. But i felt satisfied. The world of immortals is not a happy one. Highlander Endgame does not have a happy ending. But it is still a good ending that makes it worth watching. Word of the wise, if you have never seen The original Highlander, watch it before you watch this movie. It wouldent hurt to watch some of the series also. The best Highlander movie is the original one. But this movie is still worth watching. Enjoy the movie and watch it with an open mind.
Rating: Summary: Worst Movie EVER Review: This movie is terrible. They completely ruin the character of Connor MacLeod. The villain is a total wimp who Connor or Duncan could've squashed like a bug. Nobody would be scared of that pencil neck!!! The story is choppy, the timeline is totally inconsistent, and the main characters act completely out of character. The makers of this film almost go out of they're way to be completely inconsistent with everything about this franchise. To be honest, the only thing they got right was the first movie. Part two was a joke, Final Dimension is above average, the TV series is very good but not plausible because CONNOR MACLEOD WON THE PRIZE AT THE END OF THE FIRST FILM!!!! Now there are thousands of immortals running around! Really, this film is just like a long episode of the tv series only its not that good. This movie had so much potential but Davis and Panzer blew it. Once again the Highlander fans have not been taken serious. Once again the studios completely butchered what could've been a very good film.
