Summary: Watching This is Absolute Loss of Time
Review: Isn't it amazing to watch the depth of stupidity of Hollywood produced mass market movies?! Angelina Jolie is starring in this fabulous example of one of these brainless Hollywood creatures. While searching for hidden artifacts in Asian rainforest and Siberian taiga, the Tomb Raider lacks absolutely everything necessary to make even a parody on Indiana Jones type action. The plot is messy, old and lacks originality. The main heroes lack characters. Even majority of computer game fans has reportedly been also disappointed.

It is not a rewarding task to write such a negative review. However, watching Angelina Jolie in a summer shirt under unbuttoned coat in Siberia does not go any further than [breasts] watching anywhere in an office or on the street, but the latter is absolutely free and less time consuming.

The only good thing worth mentioning is the good visual effects, although the volume of them seems to emphasize the lack of real actors' play.

Summary: Tomb Raider is the best.
Review: Tomb Raider is a film you must see. Angelina was the perfect Lara Croft. It has lots if action. It is a non-bloody film, that would probably be ok for most kids older than 10.
It has a good story to it. And they used the real father Jon Voight. See This.

Summary: Angelina rocks...a bit.
Review: There isn't a whole lot to choose from in the women kicking butt category. This would have been a great film if it was edited better. Granted the plot is convoluted and hard to follow, but she looks great. Too bad you can't see her half the time. They spend so much on the special effects you have to cut em faster than the eye can see to get all the money onto the screen. When the sequel comes I hope they slow it down.

Summary: Enjoyable and Mindless
Review: Tomb Raider is not a movie that makes you think, or dose it have
a special important message in it. All it is as Ebert puts it "a good popcorn moive" that is a moive to sit down, relax, crack open a beer and watch, ingoring the neighbors, the dog, and that smell coming out of the bath room.

Like Starship Troopers this film as no point, but is that a such a bad thing? Well in the case of Mario Brother and Double Dragon
yeah it was a bad idea.

Tomb Raider had a well definde scrip, a super star leading actress(that did all her own stunts)an excellent supporting cast, a vetern action movie directer, and ,did I say this, a well definde scrip?

Mario Bothers had some effort in it. DD was crappy all around.
Wing Commander was choppy, but Tomb Raider had somthing that none of the other did, style.

Simon West didn't want to go out and make a cartoonish film that 12 year olds to watch like Street fighter. Effort was put into the story line, acting was good, Lara Croft acts human and not some comic super here, she bleeds, she cries, she can't even make her microwave work or find her car keys, and no exspense spared.

Even though, like True Lies, everything in this moive totaly impulossible, this film hits it mark, Like True Lies.

Summary: Tomb Raider digging it's own grave?
Review: I saw this movie on home DVD and I am glad to say I didn't waste 7.50 to see it in the theaters. First off it's lack of real plot is very frustrating and seems just to be an excuse for action sequences for Angelina Jolie. Many who see and enjoy this movie will be men drooling over Ms.Jolie as Lara Croft. This is somewhat of a waste of cinema. The picture quality was great and supplemental features were slightly above average. But I'm afraid for the intelligent avid film lover and moviegoer, this will be predictably disappointing.

Summary: Angelina Jolie is Lara Croft! Awsome!
Review: Angelina Joilie is the perfect Lara Croft -every bit of the game and more. Great action, great acting, all her own stunts as the DVD version points out with behind the scences training, interviews, making of the movie, and 3 missing scenes. Some of the sets were a liitle too much "Indiana Jones", but Angelina's understated character, kick-ass action scenes, and beautiful looks makes this the best action adventure movie in my mind. A chick pulling off all the incredible stunts and fight scenes somehow looks more real than any guy. A better than the Indiana Jones series -more camp and classic like "Mad Max." Can't wait for Tomb Raider 2!

Summary: An enjoyable DVD
Review: I know so many people panned this movie when it came out, yet I still had an interest in it and wanted to see it. I'm glad I did because it was great fun. Nothing to be taken too seriously; it is what it is: a movie based on a video game. But it is beautifully shot with exotic locations and fantastic action sequences. Angelina Jolie is, of course, beautiful and easy to watch. It's a fun movie, and I'm glad to add it to my library.

Summary: Angelina is the coolest
Review: I love this movie. Angelina is the perfect Lara Croft. The direction is somewhat lackluster but when it picks up you better look out. Noteable standout scenes include The opening shootout and the invasion of Croft Manor. Great film.

Summary: It's Entertainment
Review: I wasn't looking for meaningful plot or dialogue. It was fun to watch. Yes, the plot was a little thin, and the villain was obviously the villain, but so what. It was entertaining and made me laugh and what else do you want in a movie? Yes, we could have done without Daddy but he wasn't around all that much. All in all, I am glad I bought it and will watch it again
