Rating: Summary: An absolute must-see! Review: I first fell in love with this movie a few years ago, and I fell hard. The characters are ingenious and hilarious, not to mention David Bowie's superb portrayal of the seductively evil Goblin King. Jim Henson Productions was right in rereleasing such a great classic. (and if JHP ever reads this, there are some fabulous epic fanfics out there you could easily make into a blockbuster sequel).
Rating: Summary: an excellent movie Review: an excellent fantasy adventure movie for people of all ages
Rating: Summary: Teenage Angst comes to live in an easy to swallow pill! Review: I remember how thrilled my daughters were with the dancing puppets and cool songs when they were very young. After being forgotten for a few years, an old, decaying copy has become a life-blood for my college-bound daughter! A shiny new copy of her "favoritist" heartwarming tale of growing-up while still clinging to the warmth and imagination of youth is going to be under her Christmas tree this year!
Rating: Summary: This movie has been my favorite since I was 5/6 years old! Review: Labrinth is probably the best movie on the face of this Earth!! I've loved it ever since I was about 5/6 years old! I'm 16 years old now and have been searching all over for this movie and when I found out it was out of print and it couldn't be ordered, I turned to Amazon.com and to my surprise it is coming back out on Sept. 21st and I've had it on order since August!!! I can't wait to watch it!!! It is the best!!! The funniest story I have with that movie is that when me and my "cousin" Nicole were about 6/7 we would go behind the TV when Huggles was relieving himself at the pond in the beginning of the movie cause we thought we'd be able to see something!! I'll never forget that!!!!! NEVER!!!
Rating: Summary: Actually... Review: I guess I am one of the lucky ones, I have had the VHS (the offical movie not taped off of cable) for about 5 years but don't give it a single complaint. A great movie, one of my favorites and I am glad to see it's rerelease for another audience.
Rating: Summary: When do we get a sequal? Review: Excellent! Excellent! I've loved this movie since it came out in the 80's (I was in college at the time.) Adrift in an ocean of mediocre "boy-and-his-dog" or "boy-saves-the-universe" movies, Labyrinth was the island that kept my imagination from drowing. Considering the advances in movie-tech arts, I'm wondering, when do we get a sequal?
Rating: Summary: David Bowie Steals the Show AGAIN!!!! Review: I have loved this movie since I was a small child. Granted, I am only fifteen now; but I will never lose my devotion to this movie. I would rent it and rent it, over and over, and when I tried to buy it, I found out it wasn't being sold anymore. I couldn't figure out why they'd stop production of such a classic. But when I found out it was going to be re-released, I jumped at the oportunity-I have a reserved copy, you ought to get one too. Bowie is superb as Jereth, the King of Goblin City, and all the other characters are immediately part of your heart. If you're debating buying this movie, stop-GET IT, this could be your last opportunity!!!
Rating: Summary: Thank God it's coming out! Review: I was seriously considering robbing my library of its much-battered copy. I saw this movie when I was four, promptly forgot it, found it again when I was 12, remembered and fell in love again. Four important words: DAVID BOWIE IN TIGHTS. The songs are singable, guaranteed to get stuck in your head. You WILL fall in love with the Goblin King, and you WILL look it up on the Internet and, as the Talking Hat says,"Join the Club!"
Rating: Summary: One of the best movies of the '80s Review: This movie is so great! I saw it when it first came on television and I loved it! I've remembered it since then, which was probably 10 years ago, which would make me 8. I love David Bowie as the Goblin King! As a kid, the hair and voice spooked me for a long time.
Rating: Summary: A HIDDEN TREASURE Review: I saw this movie when I was about 11 and was held capative the whole time watching it. I went out and purchased a high quality tape to record it off of cable. I watched it numerous times until lending it to a friend. His house was robbed with the VCR and none other then my tape in it. Thank god for the release.
