Rating: Summary: The best movie of all time Review: I saw this movie lots of times and every time I see it I think it is one of the best movies of all time......
Rating: Summary: More of a kid's flick than a chick flick. Review: My actual rating is about 3.5 stars (but amazon is really general so). This isn't a GREAT movie, it was really entertaining when I was 8 or 10 (14 now). Having just watched again the other day, I realized it didn't really have the same effect on me as it did when i was little. The one thing that got me interested in it, in the first place, was the old (very old) comodore 64 video game (comodore is now obsolete). Through the whole movie, the only thing that really keeps the movie going is NOT Jenifer Connely, any fool knows that the real talent is David Bowie, with his sometimes energetic and other time mysterious musical score in the movie. It's really only a kid's movie, oh you may enjoy it a little, but if you're into more mature fantasy movies, rent: Willow, Excailer, Dragonheart, or Lodoss War (anime).
Rating: Summary: Love At First Sight Review: I first saw Labyrinth when i was three years old..and i remember it. It changed my life in so many ways. I wore out my copy a long time ago and have ordered another one. David Bowie was my first crush thanks to this movie and i still love him to this day. I had my own little Jareth outfit and now, i RP as Sarah with a Jareth, who eventually i fell inlove with and now i am together with a guy who loves and appreciates Labyrinth as much as me. I also cohost the annual Labyrinth Online Masquerade Balls. needless to say Labyrinth has always, continues to, and will always play an important part in my life. Anyone who sees this will love it.
Rating: Summary: Me Love! Me Love!! Me LOVE!!! DUDE! Review: I love this movie! It's so magical! I've seen it a million times and have NEVER gotten tired of it! Definately a must! Oh, and I'm ten years old!
Rating: Summary: One of my favorate movies of all time. Review: I'm so happy that they are finally rereleasing one of my favorate all time movies. Labyrinth is a movie that I've been looking for for many years, in fact I almost bought it used from a video store for $25. It made me a Bowie fan. This is a movie for all ages, I know this because I love it to death, thank you again for rereleasing it. YOU MOST BUY THIS MOVIE!
Rating: Summary: Love It!!! Review: This movie is one of the greatest movies ever made. I just can't say enough about it. This a must see for everyone!!!!
Rating: Summary: A tale of true friendship and caring. Review: This was one of the first tales of fantasy that I was fortunate to watch, and even by todays standards it is one of the best. The plot is basically a friendship movie in a fantasy setting. The basic premise is the journey of Sarah through the Labyrinth to rescue Toby, her baby brother from Jareth, (David Bowie), the king of the goblins before midnight. If she fails her brother will be turned into a goblin and belong to Jareth. The casting is just perfect with Bowie playing Jareth with so much attention to detail and conviction. You almost believe that he is truly cruel. The many exotic beasts, like Ludo, Hoggle and, my particular favourite, Sir Didimus are masterpieces in design and creation from the Henson Workshop. Even the musical pieces are woven into the film at points where they fit and not spoil the flow of the film. The script is believable and flows by at a managable pace and nothing is ever garbled. By todays standards the effects are poor but the film contains powerful scenes of friendship that just don't need flashy effects. Labyrinth is a feel good movie that is best watched with the one you love on the sofa with the lights out.
Rating: Summary: the best Review: this is the best movie I have ever seen and I had the older version untill I watched it too much and it wore out. It should be rereleased into theaters!
Rating: Summary: Great movie for girls of all ages! Review: I saw Labyrinth in its original theatrical release and loved it. What a great movie for little girls to see: a strong female role model who can solve her own problems. The true-to-life scenes of an adolecent struggling to find herself in the midst of a new family is right on. I bought this video for my daughter when she was 4 years old. It has great messages to convey and I strongly recommend it to forward-thinking parents of little girls! We live in a society where boy movies reign. Thanks to Jim Henson, girls come out on top in this one!
Rating: Summary: This movie can spark the imagination of the dullest person. Review: This is one of the best movies ever made. I used to watch Labyrinth when i was three, everyday of my life. And when i heard it was being re-released i almost screamed. I used to envy Sarah so much and wish that i could be sucked into the movie to hang out with Jareth.
