Rating: Summary: . Review: A silly but thoroughly enjoyable kid's movie, with lots of fun Henson creations. Displays a level of imagination equal to films like The Dark Crystal and Return to Oz, though it is not quite as thoroughly haunting as either of those movies. Still, it can't be denied that Labyrinth has a powerful atmosphere and a true sense of wonder, even during the David Bowie musical interludes. A fun little gem.

Rating: Summary: Rich, Detailed, Flawed Review: THsi movie has a wonderful setting, an incredible cast, and aprominsing story. Though ti appeals to almost everyone it is clearly a morality play. Wonderfully assembled and imaginatively executed this movie has but two flaws. One, it gets a little long toward the end. Two, the soundtrack placement is horrible. Someof the bet music is covered up by dialog. Depsite these flaws it is a thourghly wonderful movie. More than worth the investment.
Rating: Summary: Fun and Fantasic Movie for all ages! Review: I love this movie so much! The songs will stick inside your head forever, and the characters are unforgettable! I even used to have a crush on David Bowie when I was about 10 when I first saw this movie. (The tight pants where horrible, though)A definet must-see for everyone!
Rating: Summary: Speachless... Review: I've got 1000 's words in my head to discribe this movie, but when i think harder... you can't discribe this movie!
Rating: Summary: Excellent for both adults and children. Review: Jennifer Connelly protrays a young girl named Sarah, spoiled (in my opinion) and unable to accept maturity or adulthood. After a fight with her parents she wishes her baby brother (Toby Froud)to be stolen by the goblins and given to their king. Well, they fulfill her wish and the absolutely gorgeous ::purr:: Goblin King (David Bowie) tells her that she has thirteen hours in which to solve the labrynth that lies between her and his castle beyond the goblin city. Sarah befriends several creatures along the way that both inhibit her and aid her in her quest. Anyone interested in pure fantasy movies, this is a definite MUST SEE. All actors portray their characters beautifully and Jim Henson's creatures are nothing short of magical. Please...see this movie. Happy Viewing
Rating: Summary: For daydreamers of all ages; buy the soundtrack, too! Review: Not only is this one of my favorite fantasy movies, but my absolute favorite soundtrack. The sexy and enigmantic Bowie makes for a sexy and enigmatic Goblin king, while Jennifer Connely's pouting endears her to any daydreamer. Bowie sings "As the World Falls Down" during a sequence stolen right out of a hypnotic dream. Beautiful, beautiful. But if you look too hard, you will also see parallels to the prisons people create for themselves until they take back the power they have given to those whom they once idealized. And it's never 'fair'--a good lesson/movie for codependents!
Rating: Summary: Much like the heart of the viewer, this film never grows old Review: Perhaps one of the most positive, imaginative family films ever made, The Labyrinth features two elements that are sadly lacking throughout most of the genre: a moral that is evident, without being heavy-handed, and a strong, adaptable, heroine. It is at once a coming-of-age story, (Sarah and her plight follow all the conventions of the traditional "hero's quest" scenario), and a unique fantasy, rendered in beautiful scenery, gorgeous music, and, of course, Jim Henson's brilliant muppets. Jennifer Connely plays the willful Sarah to perfection, and even David Bowie's acting is up to par, as the Goblin King, in this delightful film. Since its release in 1986, I have seen this movie countless times, and its appeal has never diminished; it seems to have grown with me, (though I suppose I shall never get used to those tights they have poor Bowie in).
Rating: Summary: Love it! Review: Labyrinth has been my favorite movie for YEARS! I am SO happy to see that's it's come out in DVD because now I can have it in WIDESCREEN! I love the music, the characters, and, oh yes, David Bowie! He is a BABE in this movie! Now, if he would just grow his hair long and dye it blond all the time.........I promise you won't be disappointed if you buy this movie!
