Summary: My favorite movie ever.
Review: Finally, Labyrinth has been rereleased! Anyway, you probably want to know why you should spend your money on this movie. Because it is wonderfull! Besides the fact that David Bowie is gorgeous and is wearing tights ^_^, the story is cute and fun for kids and intelligent and meaningful for teens and adults. It shows that life isn't fair- you've gotta do something about it. Henson's muppets are amazing (the largest muppet ever in is in this movie) and the music is great! It is a wonderfull children/fantasy/musical/love?/adventure/enter-genre-here story! Buy it!

Summary: Be careful what you wish for!
Review: Labyrinth is a visually impressive work that treads very softly on the fine line between children's fantasy and somewhat more mature material. The basic plot of a disinterested older sister wishing her baby brother into oblivion becomes the vehicle for an imaginative journey through a land of elves, dwarves, goblins and assorted other fantasy creatures, all handsomely brought to life by Jim Henson. David Bowie is surprisingly effective and multi-dimensional as the King of the Goblins. This film requires a bit of attention in order to follow the rather complicated search, but still provides an entertaining though not quite relaxing experience. Labyrinth is far from a classic but it does provide a very interesting look at the world of fantasy creatures for enthusiasts of the genre.

Summary: Bowie...we love Bowie...
Review: Well, this was the movie that introduced me to David Bowie...and now I have a very large collection of his CDs and mp3s. My roommate has it on DVD and we watch it on her computer at least once a week. Jennifer Connelly is an amazing actress, and of course, David Bowie is Mr. Sexy himself. (Mmm, tights...)

The only thing that could have improved this movie is if Jareth had said, "You know, Sarah, it's not about the baby." The whole sexual tension theme is running throughout the movie, though, and it's easy to pick out. It would have been nice, however, to at least mention it once.

Summary: Labyrinth....WOW!
Review: I've grown up on Jim Henson creations. Muppets were with me when I was very young and as I got older I found movies like Labyrinth and Neverending Story. Labyrinth is a movie of a babysitters worst nightmare. A teenage girl practices for a part in a school play and when she realizes she has to come back to reality she also realizes she has to go home and babysit her baby brother. In short, she wishes her baby brother would dissappear. The goblin king, played expertly by David Bowie, steals him away and she has to find him. To do this it takes time, patience, and the help of some strange and other worldly friends.
