Summary: Another abysmal Disney animated sequel.
Review: I am a baby boomer who LOVES Peter Pan & I really had high hopes for this. I grew up with the original & had the sing along record (yes, vinyl) & book & can still recite the entire movie verbatim while watching it. This should have gone direct to video like the other JUNK sequels such as Pocahontas,Lion King,Little Mermaid,Beauty & The Beast & from what I hear Cinderella. How many more animated classics will Disney destroy with horrid sequels. The songs are totally forgettable, the story is lame & the animation is Saturday Morning tv quality. I can't wait for that Dumbo 2 or Hunchback 2 sequel (LOL). Where has the creativity gone to at Disney? Return to Neverland will be enjoyed by VERY young children, PERIOD. What a waste. I had high hopes but unfortunately they must have run out of Pixie Dust because this movie just didn't fly. The free ticket which came in the SE Peter Pan video is about what the movie was worth.

Summary: Better than the Original
Review: I saw this with my four year old and he loved it as much as I did. He would spontaniously break out in laughter during many of the scenes. The color sceme in this movie will make your eyes water it is incredible. Disney also toned down use of computer animation and keept it in sync with the original and the result is superb. All of the characters and voices closely match the orginal as well. I loved the original as my son does, but this was faster paced with higher energy than the first and intrestingly enough has no curse words and it never uses the word " Kill" . All in all we both loved it and cannot wait for the DVD to come out, as a matter of fact we are going to see it again this afternoon together.

Summary: One Of My Favorite Movies Of All Time!!!!
Review: This movie is awsome. I really enjoyed it and I saw it twice it was so good. I loved the origanal Peter Pan and I got the new DVD and used the ticket inside. This movie is for everybody even know somepeople won't like it you should give it a shot anyway. The color is much much better then the first. Captain Hook had a much better picture. The Peter was not as good as the first but he was good anyway. Jane had a great picture and the voice talent was perfect for the job. Danny was my favorite character he's so funny. And I can't leave out Mr. Schmee he is so good.

Summary: Good for the little ones and the young at heart
Review: Okay. This is another of those films that I would not have driven to the theater to see, but it was the only one showing for a good hour and I had a bit of an urge to see it. After all, I loved the Peter Pan story when I was a kid. Watching it, seeing Peter Pan fly reminded me of times I've flown through the air in my dreams. There were some similarities in this animated story to the film Hook, which starred a grown-up Robin Williams returning to Never Never land, having to believe in magic again ....or else. This story offers a simple plot with all the Peter Pan ingredients. It was nice to revisit Mr. Smee, for example. All in all, the magic actually did the trick for me (though I am a pushover) and I felt my heartstrings pulled a few times and managed to well up a tear or two once or twice. If you still believe in magic, if there's still a little Peter Pan and Wendy in your old bones, find a little kid so you have an excuse to take in this movie. The music wasn't bad either.

Review: ...I know my whole family enjoyed this movie! We enjoyed it so much we went to see it twice. The movie sticks with the old tradition of Peter Pan but ventures into new territory with Jane, Wendy's daughter, and a new archnemesis for Hook--the octopus. What a great bunch of fun! See it.

Summary: Too short!
Review: I cannot believe this got so many good reviews. I'm looking for the people who said, "It [stunk]!" and there aren't too many. Surprising. It's not the worst sequal ever, I'll give it that. But it leaves you wanting more. The whole time you know EXACTLY what's going to happen. You think, "Geez, just beat Captain Hook and get it over with, already!" The beginning with the war is pretty strong, but it's all downhill after that. Not enough time is spent emphasizing Jane's original personality (serious, down-to-earth, wants to grow up), her transition, and how she is as a Lost Girl. It's over much too soon. It's not funny. There are no good voices or songs in it that I can think of. The octopus is a direct copy of the crocodile and is therefore no longer a good source of humor. I don't think they honestly COULD have made a really excellent PETER PAN II because PETER PAN was not meant to have a sequal. Can Disney not just leave the endings of some of its old films to the imagination? I liked CINDERELLA II better than this. I could watch PP 2 again, sure, but it will never be something we gladly watch over and over. And to be quite frank, I liked the way Jane was before she met Peter Pan. She was smart. She was practical. Peter Pan seems to think every kid should do nothing but play and act goofy and be stupid and that no one should want to grow up. I disliked how this movie made Jane's positive trait of maturity seem negative....

Summary: It's not a masterpiece, but mildly enteraining.
Review: From early reports on this film, i cringed, as did many people who dread the thought of Disney making these sequels. The previews had me somewhat interested, and so, at a late show, I decided to see how badly this film had fallen. So, I found myself sitting in on an 11:10 PM showing (hard to believe I know). The film actually wasn't so bad.
After a short introduction into this film's background, we move to war-torn London. In the time ahead, Wendy Darling has grown up, and married. While her husband goes off to help in teh war effort, Wendy takes care of her son Danny adn her daughter Jane. Wendy still tells her stories about Peter Pan, which brings confort to Danny, but not quite to Jane. Jane has taken the role of a more responsible young woman, after promising her father that she'll look after the family while he's away. Wendy tries to keep Jane believing in the stories, but Jane soon dismisses them as "utter nonsense," feeling that it is more important to deal with the world as it is then to turn away from more serious matters. Then, late one night, Captain Hook and his crew fly over the household and kidnap Jane, beliving her to be Wendy. After manuevering through a squadron of airplanes, the ship heads towards Neverland where Hook hopes to use Jane as bait to have Peter Pan tell him where he his Hook's treasure. From here on in, the story tries to make Neverland as appealing as it once was. However, it loses a star for failing to do teh following: 1)Tick Tock, the crocodile who was always after Hook in the original film, is gone (with no mention of why or where?), and in his place is a large octopus, who soon also develops a taste for Hook. The young kids will get a crack out of this guy, but the octopus is no crocodile. 2)The mermaids only show up for a brief 30 seconds, and then, there the Indian village, where we just see their tents and other items, but no sight of the Chief, Tigerlily, or any other natives (?). 3)The lost boys are more comical and seem to have been given more childlike personalities this time, then before in the first film. One major voice change is the little boy dressed as a bear, who instead of having an adult do his oafish voice (like in the first), they handed the vocal role to the boy who was the young Bruce Willis in "Disney's The Kid." The voice acting though, comes through pretty well with everyone else. Hook sounds for the most part like his old self, as do Smee, Peter Pan, and Tinkerbell. Jane's voice also fits the character pretty well. Her attitude in Neverland is almsot as if you took Alice from "Alice in Wonderland" and threw her onto teh island. Jane finds almost everything in Neverland to be nonsense. The music also receives poor marks for this production. While the film does a BBMak reprise of the old song "Do you believe in Magic?"(which according to word, is inspired by the original "Peter Pan." The rest of the music is mainly a country style theme. Though it doesn't fit at all in teh scheme of the film as it should. The cheaply made sequels just aren't given the kind of attention to theri musical cues as the films like "Aladdin" and "The Lion King" were. There is a Lost Boys chorus theme, but it will make the kids smile and some adults cringe. Speaking of cringing adults, this film may not appeal to those of you who prefer your action films. Now some families may be insightful and take theri kids to this, there's nothing wrong with that. However, if you do see this film, take your kids to a matinee, it is not worth the $7-9 for a night show.

Summary: What Is Disney Doing?!?!?!
Review: This movie was completely overdone and was not enjoyable at at all. I took my friend's little brother and sisters to see and they fell asleep within the first 20 minutes. I thought that was pretty bad considering one can easily keep a child's attention on something rather simple. And that's the problem with this movie. It is too complicated for a child to grasp and understand. They will leave the theatre with tons of questions rather than enjoying the film itself. If you are taking your child or a young on to see this thinking they too can experience the joy of Peter Pan, don't bother. Instead, rent the the original video. It's much better.

Review: My daughter loved this movie , she wanted to watch it again. Shes three so for a three year old to sit through an entire movie mesmerized I would have to say this movie is great !
