Rating: Summary: Great 80's movie. Review: The villains in this movie are what steal the show. From the goblin, to the orc, to the swamp troll, and to the unforgettable devil they are what make this movie what it is.Just seeing Tim Curry in that oh so cool satan get up is worth the price of admission for this dvd.
Rating: Summary: Unicorns, goblins, demons and a hero. What more do you need? Review: "Nothing is more magical then a unicorn. As long as they roam the earth no evil can touch the pure of heart." But Lilly can not resists, she touches the unicorn though it is forbidden and thus starts a cascade of events that nearly ends in the extinction of the species, and the destruction of the world as she knows it. Thus Jack, a woodland child who loves Lilly, must save the last unicorn from a horrible sacrifice by the devil himself.
Filled with fairies, magic, and charm beyond this world, "Legend" is a wonderful movie for all ages. The graphics are wonderful, sets and costumes beautiful and frightening in the right moments. A superb movie on all accounts.
Rating: Summary: My introduction to Fantacy Review: My family has always had a copy of the movie Legend, but it was a TV copy. As a result I think there were parts missing from editing out the commercials but it worked and proud to say, worn out. So when it came to my own home collection I wanted the best. We bought his version expecting it to have everything, it does have quite a bit (haven't watched it all yet).
We picked it up to show a future family member who has never seen it, and decided to watch the Directors version hoping it would have more, and more is usually better. Not so in this case. Parts I remember were gone and the alternate music gives the film an entirely different feel. Plus Princess Lily is given an "I do what I want" attitude, and the film ends completely different.
The future family member hated it, and we were disappointed. We quickly popped in the original version and re-watched the ending and the future family member was like, "now that is better, why change the ending in the director's version?" I agree, and I am in search of the original theatrical version ending song for their wedding.
I am thankful that it came with the original version. Tried and true original is best.
Rating: Summary: The Legend Of Zelda Was Based On This Review: It's no wonder, because this is fantasy at it's best. It has a nice plot to it and great sets and characters. I think I'll always enjoy this movie because I've always enjoyed fantasy. It's a must-have for any fan of fantasy, adventure, Zelda, romance or Tom Cruise fan. This MUST be a classic. Tom Cruise is the perfect guy to rescue his woman from the clutches of The Lord Of Darkness {played by Tim Curry} with the help of some friendly goblins and a fairy. DADDY'S WORKIN' RIGHT NOW! It's an amazing journey full of suspence and....stuff.
Rating: Summary: Mixed Review: DO watch Legend for its spectacular visuals. However, DO NOT watch Legend for its story, which is not as wonderful as so many people want you to think - special edition or otherwise.
Rating: Summary: Awesome and Breathtaking Movie Review: I love this movie even though i was never a fan of fantasy. The story is outstanding and the visual effects are stunning. I highly highly recommend this one. Ridley Scott directed this masterpiece and it's no surprise since he also directed my favorite movie Gladiator. This movie may be fantasy but the messages are about as realistic as they come. Don't miss it.
Rating: Summary: The One-Horns are a singular sensation! Review: Unicorns, dwarves, demons, and... Tom Cruise? Cruise plays a happy-go-lucky forest boy named Jack who's in love with the beautiful virgin princess, Lily (Mia Sara). Everything is idyllic beauty in the mythical sunlit forest where the unicorns play (two beautiful Vavra'esque Andalusians with somewhat floppy horns) until one day Darkness (Tim Curry) comes, wanting to destroy everything. Unusually light, pretty fare for director Ridley Scott; well worth seeing for fans of storybook fantasy. This DVD version (director's cut) is a must-buy for fans of the theatrical release.

Rating: Summary: Awesome Movie...the Second Time Review: I need to point out first that I saw this film twice. The first half of the movie, as it turns out, is really boring unless you've already seen the movie the whole way through. The second half is incredible, though. So I advise that you watch the movie twice. I also recommend the director's cut to the theatrical release, as it has infinitely more character development, a better sound score, and some much needed extra dialogue. The acting is also pretty good--I'm not usually a huge fan of Tom Cruise (he's alright, though), but I really enjoyed his performance in this. Of course, as a fantasy film, it has it's moments of cheesiness and downright weirdness. But overall, it's a solid, good fantasy film. Tim Curry plays the best devil I've ever seen. This is probably the first depiction of the devil that actually scared me. So, in short--this movie rocks in all directions. A must for any fantasy fan.
Rating: Summary: Be Open about it Review: This 1985 fantasy/fairy-tale drama was produced by famed director Ridley Scott. The movie is about the classic war between good and evil, focusing on two Unicorns as the good, and Lord Darkness (played by Tim Curry) as the evil. This movie is really a guilty pleasure for most fans, as it is filled with endless fantasy jargon about goblins and unicorns and the ultimate darkness. Although it would seem as if such a repetitive and over used plot would be boring and dull, Scott's "sharp and atmospheric" look of the film saves it from being anything of a mess. Although it is not at the same level of some of Scott's other films, such as Alien and Gladiator, he manages to create a truly beautiful movie.
Rating: Summary: Barf Review: This movie is ridiculously lame. I will never watch it again. the only good thing about it is how it 'looks' the costumes and stuff are nice. They barely talk in the movie and the story will put you to sleep (since there isnt much of one anyway). I just don't see the point. This is probably one of my least favorite movies of all time. This movie is barfy and I hate it.
