Review: If you like the game, you will love this sequel! Lara's up to her usual perseptive self encountering bad/good guys and nailing their intentions on the head each and every time! Interesting characterizations and the storyline blended with dynamic action scenes makes this sequel the best one yet for Tomb Raider fans!

Summary: Okay people may hate me for this .......
Review: As much as I enjoyed this movie I thought it could have been better.
The plot is pretty much in some terms basic in action/adventrue movies .
I appualde the person who put this movie in the catagory of James Bond and Indiana Jones .
They`re right . Bad news is it falls to a plot that`s pretty much has no real surprises and is a little too much like those of that catagory.
Okay enough about the plot . The action as always was awesome . Very eye catching and suprb acting from Miss Jolie .

The reason I didn`t give this five stars .
At some of the comic and dramatic moments things just did not hit their marks like they were suppose too . I found that to make the movie a bit lacking in stubstance . You have characters that are pretty interesting and you want to see more of.
The first movie had a little more heart to it . The second one to me had made it hard to care about the characters . Mostly , because some people could happen to them from the start without reading spoilers . It wasn`t till the very end of the movie that made you enjoy with your full heart .
I know not a good explaination .
Bottom line : The movie was too fast paced to really enjoy it and plus being a little too predictable .

Summary: Angelina Jolie action hero
Review: Lara Croft as played by Angelina Jolie is a female cross between James Bond and Indiana Jones. Angelina joins the ranks of Harrison Ford, Bruce Lee etc. as a natural action hero. Sure the film doesn't make much sence but Angelina makes it worthwile. This is her calling.

Summary: it was great but Indy still rules!!!!!
Review: I admit that I thought this movie was great after seeing the first one whitch wasn't that good. It had some great action scenes and great cast. I was on the edge of my seat for some of the movie. The only thing I have to say is .... INDIANA JONES RULES!!!!all three movies had excitment, action and adventure. What is trully missed by today's Adventure movies. My opinion save your money and wait two years for a real adventurer Indiana Jones 4

Summary: Adventure at it's best!
Review: I highly enjoyed this movie. I loved the fist Tomb Raider and this is just as good. The locations and sets are absolutely amazing. This is a true adventure movie. Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft makes for the ultimate action hero. She demands full attention from every scene she's in. The stunts and action scenes are incredible. Lara Croft can take on any man in any situation. This movie grows on the first taking her on even bigger adventures and more dangerous enemies. The monsters in this are really cool! I imagine Tomb Raider 2 will get horrible reviews from critics who can't simply sit down and enjoy the movie for what it is but this is the type of movie for me and I loved it!

Summary: A good sequel
Review: LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE is a good sequel. I'd say it's no better or worse than the first TOMB RAIDER movie. I think most fans will think I'm crazy and say this a FAR better than Tomb 1. And, in some obvious regards, it is much better. The editing and cinematography is A-list. The score is better. Even Angie is better (more on this later). But this may lead one to conclude the movie is better directed. It's not. Jan de Bont is a hack and it shows. This movie suffers from all the same faults as the first. The pacing is clunky, and some of the action sequences are very awkward and confusing. Add to that a very poor villain. Casting is the job of a director, and this movie is not as well cast as it could have been -- outside of our lead, of course.

Speaking of our lead...SHE IS ON FIRE! Angelina Jolie IS Lara Croft. She is a much better Lara in this movie. She's frighteningly intense and beautiful and surprisingly violent. She's like a dangerous, wild animal ready to lunge. The amazing Ms Jolie absolutely holds this movie above the waterline (as she did the first movie), helped, like I said, by superior cinematography and editing. We get lots and lots of Angie close-ups, and watching her wild eyes is one of the great joys of watching this movie. In fact, she IS the reason to see this movie.

Like I said, the action is very hit and miss. There is more hard action (shoot-outs, breaking glass, fist-fights) in this movie than Tomb 1. It's more James Bond, less Raiders, and I'm not sure I like that. I like seeing my Lara romp around tombs and jungles, not shooting it out inside a Hong Kong bio-lab. The quiet moments are all quite good. But Angie's male partner is awkwardly shoehorned into the plot. I really don't know why he's in this movie, except to provide a little... tension (and maybe that's reason enough). But there is one very surprising beat between them during the climax, which, momentarily, took the movie beyond expectations for me.

Is this a review? I don't know. I'm still processing. I liked the movie. I really did. I'll see it again. I can't wait to get the DVD. But it is definitely "Tomb Raider 2" and don't expect it to rise above whatever expectations you have when you hear that title.

Summary: A Vast Improvement
Review: Craddle of Life is a vast improvement over first Tomb Raider film that came out a few years ago. With the last film you got the sense that the film makers just slapped the film together in the expectations that the "idle masses" would just simply show up for a film with the name "Tomb Raider" on the marquee. The plot made no sense but the movie still made money. The makers could have simply sat on their laurels and made another shoddy film. But thankfully they did not. They brought in a new director and this time a plot that made more sense.

The film involves Lara trying to find the mythical Pandora's box. That turns out not to be a myth. She has to race against a menancing biologist who wants to find the box and unleash a biological plague on the world.

The film plays like a giant tribute to James Bond & Indianna Jones leaning more towards James Bond. Which you can't fault the film for as that essentially is what Lara Croft is. A female cross between James Bond and Indianna Jones. What saved me in the last movie was Jolie's performance, as an American she knew that she was not first pick among the TR fans to play Lara Croft. But thankfully she took the part seriously enough adapting an arristocratic English accent and mannerisms---and won us over, and she's even better in this one. She has an icy arristocratic coolness that hearkens to Mrs. Peel from the Avengers. Gerrad Butler was also wonderful playing a delicious scoundrel and rogue. And a Sexy Scottish burr that would make him a shoe in for the next Bond when Pierce Brosnan gives it up.

One thing that marred the film very badly was the last 15 minutes of the film which seemed to have been lifted directly out of Lord of The Rings. It was as if the makers did not know what to do and just slapped it in. Also Cirian Hinds wasn't a very convincing villain.

With a little more work, and a dedication to quality and excellence. We may have another film franchise on our hands that would rival James Bond.
