Rating: Summary: The best film I have seen yet! Review: I absolutely loved this movie. The cast made it the movie even better. Elijah Wood was sooo good at playing Frodo. I don't really care about the length of the movie because I expect the other two to be just as long, but it kept my attention throughout the entire thing that I didn't even notice that three hours had gone by. I enjoyed it more the second time after I read The Hobbit and the LOTR series. I've noticed is that you have to read The Hobbit in order to understand the origin of certain things, like the mithril coat, a little better. All in all I can't wait for the next two.

Rating: Summary: The Lord of the Rings Review: I was very diappointed in this movie. It lacked substance. If you like nonstop fighting then this movie is for you. Other than that it was WAY TOO LONG. About an hour could have been removed.
Rating: Summary: Stunning, Brilliant, Outstanding - need I say more. Review: As my title says, best film ever, despite being 3 hours in length, left me wanting to see more. Bring on the next episode.
Rating: Summary: A major accomplishment Review: The classic story of Frodo Baggins and his quest across Middle Earth to deliver the One Ring of Power to the only place where it can be destroyed--at the very doorstep of the Dark Lord who needs it to dominate the world. I was skeptical about this film, remembering the Ralph Bakshi abortion of several years back. I have rarely been so pleased to be proven wrong. Even at three hours, there is an unavoidable compression of events; nevertheless, all of the important scenes that I remember from the book are here, and they are presented with the highest degree of artistry. The cast, the production, every element is right.I commend New Line for having the courage to give director Peter Jackson the budget and time needed to tell such an epic tale. It's good to see that they have been rewarded by box office and critical success as well as a slew of Oscar nominations. It bodes well for the next two films in the series. When the trilogy is complete, it may well stand as a landmark in cinema. Can a major film treatment of "The Hobbit" be far behind?
Rating: Summary: Almost perfect. Still a must see Review: ... It difinately didn't suck. It wasn't boring. Character's were well developed and you didn't have to have read the books to enjoy it. My own mother who doesn't care for movies much and really doesn't care for fantasy wants to own this movie on DVD when it comes out. That surprised even me. My only complaint was the scene where Galandriel morphs. That was way off base from the books. If you want to see the correct way that should have been done, watch the same scene in the cartoon. The cartoon is enferrior but that one scene is actually better than the way Peter Jackson did it. Other than that, the show was perfect. Those who didn't like the ending have probably not read the book. Otherwise they would understand it.
Rating: Summary: GREAT Review: This movie is just great!! Not only because of Elijah Wood (Who is really cute btw) but the plot is awesome 2!!! Alot of pretty special effects and the great actors are making this one of the best movies i've ever seen!! you gotta watch this one, it SO worth the money!
Rating: Summary: "Fellowship" Runs Rings Around Competition Review: Never having been a big fan of fantasy stories with elves, gnomes and wizards, I was a bit trepidacious about commiting 3 1/2 hours to "Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rings". Yet from the very beginning I could tell that this offering was something special. The visuals were stunning and drew me in almost hypnotically from the outset. No detail was overlooked which added to the instant suspension of disbelief I needed to get into the story. Director Peter Jackson did a superb job in introducing and fleshing out a barage of characters in a surprisingly short time. Masterful use of forced perspective and computer generated effects showcased the wide diversity of the different creatures that populated Middle Earth. There was never a dull moment as our hero and his confederates raced from one narrow escape to the other while meeting some of the most original and well acted characters in recent movie memory. I would have to say that the only detraction would have to do with the sometimes gory fight scenes and that some of the monsters might be frightening to younger viewers. Yet overall, "Rings" is a story that has a wide appeal and will surely find a place among the elite of movie history.
Rating: Summary: Good, but it dragged on a little. Review: I am reading these reviews and I am very surprised because it's saying that eleven and twelve year old reviewers are giving this movie five stars! I don't know about anyone else, but I really think that the first hour was great, but then two more hours to go, it kind of got boring. I saw Harry Potter around the same time, and that seemed to pass really quickly, and it kept you entertained but this movie is too long and boring. The special effects were great though, but I think I'll skip seeing the other six sequels.
Rating: Summary: Better than TITANIC Review: This movie makes you think. I watched the movie without reading the book so at the end of the movie it makes me feel like 'hey is that it'so i make a search and here i am with 3 books excellent!!!!
