Review: PIRATES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN OUR CHILDHOOD HEROS,THOUGH BEING MOSTLY VILLAINS.THIS MOVIE GIVES MORE THEN THE TRAILER.IS SO MUCH FUN,EXCITEMENT AND LAUGHTER.DEPP AND RUSH ARE UNBELIAVABLE.AGGRESSIVE GUYS YET SO NAIVE.IT IS AN EXCITEMENT DRIVE,THAT LEAVES IN YOUR MOUTH THE TASTE OF INDIANA JONES AND ZORRO.THEY COULD HAVE FOUND A BETTER FEMALE ACTOR FOR THE LEADING GIRL PART BUT THIS DOES NOT RUIN THE MOVIE.I HAVE NOT HAVE SO MUCH FUN IN A MOVIE FOR A LONG TIME.

Summary: It's all about Johnny
Review: Admittedly, I wasn't expecting much from this movie when I first heard about its production. I mean, come on, a movie based on a ride? That pretty much suggests that Disney is out of ideas. But upon seeing this film and learning that Johnny Depp was in it totally changed my opinion. It was awesome. Yes, Orlando was a bit cheesy as the blacksmith desperately in love with Keira Knightly but all in all the movie was highly entertaining. Seriously, it doesn't matter who you are, you will enjoy this movie (unless you are a bitter old man in which case you probably don't like anything.) So, to sum up: Johnny Depp is the hottest 40 year old I know, and Orlando ain't too bad looking either. Yarrr.

Summary: there's a sequel?!
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, all the actors were great (casting and acting wise), but when I heard there was going to be a sequel, there was a question of how well the acting and storyline would go. Most of the movie sequels i have seen (Star Wars:AOTC, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, matrix reloaded, X-men 2, etc.) have [been very bad], 'cause the story was practecly the same as the original!!! My advice to anyone who is anticipating the POTC 2, should wait for the reviews to be written...

Summary: Disney's finally playing it smart.
Review: Between "Finding Nemo" and "PotC", Disney finally got the point in going outside their company into the real world if they want box office material. In letting Johnny Depp do his own thing, being thankful is an understatement where Disney should be concerned. After watching him, I don't think I can look at pirates the same way again. Then, you have Jeff Rush as the bad guy, who's talents are one of few that could stand up to Depp's abnormally hillarious character. From there, you have Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, two newer actors who more than proved their worth and talent in this film.
Equally impressive were the special effects. Between the battle scenes on the water and the humans changing into skeletons, I was left rather pleasantly stunned that Disney could turn an entertainment ride into a movie that worked so well. The only thing that I wouldn't rate top of the line would be the story line. Given that it was geared for kids, I shouldn't be suprised at it being slightly cliche. Though, if Disney sticks to making a sequel, I can only hope that the second plot won't be as cliche as what I fear it will be.

Review: I went to see the movie because it got great reviews from all of my friends, not because I liked the Disney ride. I truly found this movie to be a wonderful movie experience in which I felt right in the action. Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Kiera Knightly were splendid, the action surreal, and the plot superb. I never thought once about the end of the movie. I was captivated and enthralled the whole way through from the first second to the ending credits. This movie not only got better than five stars, but Pirates of the Caribbean made me like the Disney ride!

Review: I have to say Disney really made one of their best with this one. The story is good, the action non-stop, but for those of us rather faint of heart, not gory. Exciting, romantic, beautiful photography, great acting by several cast members and worth seeing more than once! My favorite movie in a long time!

Review: Absolutely tiresome and predictable. Not often do I want to actually walk out of a movie, but I managed this time. The fight scenes were too long and the scenes were corny (now, don't get me wrong I LOVE campy movies but this was cheesy in a bad way). I never want to see it AGAIN!

Review: Most pirate movies have been mediocer at best, but THIS pirate movie was AWESOME! With a new and refreshing story line, witty come-backs, edge-of-your-seat fight sceans and TERRIFIC acting, this movie is definetly worth seeing! If you go for no other reason, go to see Johnny Depp's preformance; the way that he moves and talks totally fits the character! Orlando Bloom did a good job too, he's pretty handy with a sword! Although he did do a good job in this movie, I definetly think that he did a better job in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Geoffery Rush did a great job as Captain Barbossa; he definetly captured the essesnce of his character well, as did Keria Knightly. Overall this is a really fun, energetic movie. If you see it, you will not be disappointed!

Review: This is one of the BEST movies ever. I saw it WAY too many times in theaters and actually have a countdown to the day it is coming out on DVD. The movie is awesome Johnny Depp is hilarious and you can't pull your eyes away from the screen when Orlando Bloom is on the screen. And Keira Kightley and Gefforey Rush are brilliant as well. You can't get sick of this movie, it's just too good! One of the major things people disliked about it was the length, but I didn't even realize how long it was... I was too absorbed in the movie. Actors are great. Plot is great. Everything about it is great. Go see the movie TODAY if you haven't and then buy the DVD in December!
