Review: I haven't got caught up in a movie this much since I was a kid. I mean, do you remember when you were a kid, you went to see Star Wars, or some other movie like that, and came home and pretended you were the heroes from it with your friends for months? This movie gives you that feeling, and makes you wonder if you *really* are too old to play pirates..?

Summary: More Than I Had Expected
Review: As this is already much-reviewed, I will not re-summarize this film, but I'll move straight to my opinion and its basis.I really enjoyed this movie, and I have pre-ordered it already (actually, as soon as it was available). When I went to see this movie in the theater, at the request of a friend (his turn to pick), I expected lots of action, lots of adventure, lots of fighting, lots of special effects, and just enough story to string everything else together. What I got was: lots of action, lots of adventure, lots of fighting, lots of special effects, and a fairly complex story with several twists and quite a bit of suspense/uncertainty. From scanning the other reviews, there seems to be a split decision about Johnny Depp's acting in this movie. The way I look at, a scrawny pirate back in those days would have had limited choices: be someone's sidekick, fight constantly to survive and gain some status, or be so crazy and unpredictable and brash that you might just rise to the top. The Jack Sparrow character, as portrayed by Depp, chose option three. The result, for me, was a wonderfully over-the-top performance that suggested to me that Depp was having the time of his life playing the role to its limits (and beyond). I thoroughly enjoyed this film, and look forward to sequels, if the star Depp again. Review: Among all of the horrible movies that came out over the summer, this movie really delivered & is a good quality movie. Great cast in this movie, Jonny Depp is a talented actor, although it can be hard to believe when the only reason the girls go to see him is because of his looks, but whatever, that's not the point. The point is that this movie was by far the best of the summer & you should check it out if you haven't seen it yet. You don't know what your missing. Even the most skeptical of movie lovers will be satisfied with this movie. It's a great movie. So go see it.

Review: From the first time I saw this movie I was absolutely ravished and enticed by the way the characters were portrayed and the story line. It all flowed together and the actors and actresses all played their parts without any trouble. This movie is so wonderful that I saw t 6 times while still in the most expensive theatre I have ever known. And I used my own money. Being that I am only 14 and get hardly what you could call an allowance, thats saying something. Anyways, if you purchase this movie without seeing it before, you have nothing to worry about because you wont be dissapointed.

Review: I've watched this movie twice, and I enjoyed it every time! It has something for everyone in it: Adventure, Good humor, not a too-heavy plot (The summer's heat, you know, is not the time for serious thrillers) and yet, great acting. Johny Depp's acting is absoloutly amazing, he adds depth and personality to his character that makes this movie a must. So next summer, when you are at home with friends and/or family, get this movie and watch it, it's pure fun!
