Review: When I first saw the preview for this I thought it was going to be pretty lame, but as usual one of my friends draged me into it and it was not a waste of money
This movie had everything great fighting scenes amazing storyline and great acting. It will keep you on your toes from begining to end.
Now you may ask to yourself why only 4 stars. One reason the ending. I thought it was horrible. (Spoiler warning) I mean seriously Will turner doesnt become a pirate what kind of movie is this? Jeasus Christ. Well other than the ending I thought it was worth while and not a waste of money.

Review: I think that The Pirates of the Caribbean is the best movie ever. I think it's even good some kids. Captain Jack Sparrow is really funny for kids. Even though the was pg-13 I saw lots of kids there coming out with big smiles on their faces.

Summary: Fun popcorn movie revives Pirate films after failed attempts
Review: The Pirate film was quite dead. There have been many disasterous attempts to revive the genre but it took Jerry Bruckheimer (known for his less than subtle action films) and director Gore Verbinski (The Ring) to bring the genre back to life. Luckily, they had a galant cast (Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush and Orlando Bloom with Jonathan Price)and a fairly strong script to support their efforts.

Depp plays Captian Jack Sparrow a rogue who is as clumsy as he is brave. He's actually quite a good swordsman and, despite a couple of miscalculated stunts, physically adept. Sparrow is in search of a new ship, crew and the gold that was stolen from him.

Geoffrey Rush does a great turn as the villan of the piece as the Captain Barbossa a pirate's pirate. He's in search of a gold medalion that provides the key to his long search for salvation. Barbossa doesn't take into account Sparrow's bravery nor his noblity in helping Will Turner recover girl he loves (Keira Knightly)who has possession of the medalion.

Pirates is a rollicking good time with strong visual effects and well choregraphed swordplay. My kids and I sat capitivated by the action sequences and the humor. It's an enjoyable film that could be the surprising break out film of the summer. While it is less than subtle, it's a heck of a lot of fun for the family. Be warned, though, that there is violence, a number of killings during the fight (though none really graphic)and a frightening conclusion to the film.

Sail along for the ride and enjoy Pirates; it's a rare thing these days; a surprise hit that deserves its success. Oh, and yes, Depp clearly was channeling Keith Richard as Sparrow. That's part of the fun of the film as well--spotting the turn of the phrase borrowed and the mock heroic poses as Depp plays the character.

Summary: Dinsey Listened to Bruckheimer; We All Win
Review: Yes, this a VERY well done adventure film with fine acting by all involved, especially Johnny Depp. His portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow is both contemporary and classic. Orlando Bloom did a fine job, in spite of what they 'critics' say.

But mostly, hats off to Disney for allowing the film to be released as PG-13. I know that took a bit of a risk on the corporate heads part, but I'm sure from the reciepts you can see it was a wise move.

No, you shouldn't start making increasingly mature films, but it's nice to know that when the film requires that extra bit of cinemagraphic intensity (delivered by violence or other means) you'll trust the film and not paranoia.

Keep it up.

Review: Pirates of the caribbean is a great movie to see with your family and friends!!! I would diffently go see it if I were you. Though the movie might seem a little corny on the effects part, it's still a fantastic and chilling movie. The reason I rate it 5 stars is because it should be rated that. I went and saw it and I enjoyed it very very very much. I thought it was so funny! The movie stars Johnny depp and Orlando bloom are awsome for this movie! I love this movie it was every boys dream to be a pirate says Orlando bloom who is a blacksmith (Will turner) in the movie. Also Johnny depp says that he enjoyed being in the movie very much, he says that it was like he already knew the part of the worsest pirate ever (captain Jack Sarrow). Geoffrey Rush said that he really had a great time working with Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. He said that he thought the movie would be easy to do but unfortunally he says it wasn't! But in the end everyone put on the most exciting movie ever! So get off your duff because now is the time to see Pirates of the caribbean the curse of the black pearl!

Review: Depp is brilliant, as always. But, this movie would stand out without him. It is a fantastic tribute to the Disney ride, and a rip roarin', good story! The casting, acting, scenery and effects, are all well worth the ticket price. Note: I would not recommend this movie for very small children.

Review: This was a TrUlY amazing movie. I was really surprised about how good it is. It has a little of something for everyone: comedy,romance,scary parts,and action and adventure.
Comedy: Captain Jack Sparrow(Johnny Depp) makes this movie so funny for all ages.
Romance: Elizabeth Swann(Keira Knightly) and Will Turner(Orlando Bloom)have a romance going on in the middle of this movie which ties in perfectly with a pirate movie.
Scary Parts: When the pirates are in the moonlight they turn into freaky skeletons. They are a little too intense for smaller children.There is also a pretty freaky monkey!!
Action and Adventure: There is plenty of this because duh! it's a pirate movie. Will and Captain Jack have an amazing battle at the start of the movie.
Overall, this was a outstanding movie that has great acting, directing, and battles. I can't wait to experience this movie again.

Review: I would have to say that Pirates of the Caribbean ranks as one of the best movies ever. It should be held in the same esteem as Forrest Gump and Gladiator.

Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush are amazing, as is the rest of the cast. Depp's character Capt. Jack Sparrow is an interesting character from the beginning of the movie, and he becomes more and more intriguing as the movie progresses.
