Review: Pirates of the Caribbean was THE BEST movie i have probably EVER seen, and I don't even LIKE action movies or pirate movies or whatever! I LOVED that movie! Putting Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom and whoever played Elizabeth was an awesome idea! They worked together SO WELL!!!! It also helps that Orando Bloom and Johnny Depp were downright SEXY in this movie(unlike lord of the rings no offense orlando but blonde is not good for you) We need a sequel! Plus the graphics were WONDERFUL!!

Review: Okay--I have to say to those who have reveiwed this movie as far as "characterization", and "plot lines", and such--It's a Disney movie, folks. Not War and Peace. Take it for what it is, and enjoy the sheer fun of it!!!
That being said, I do have to mention Johnny Depp's performance, which was superb!! He is such an under-rated actor, and I would love to see him rewarded for this role (I doubt Oscar will see it that way, however). Anyway!! This movie has a little bit of everything for everyone!! Romance, action, sword fights, battles at sea---everything rolled into one great movie that is actually very enjoyable and fun for the entire family. There is no sex, no nudity, no cussing, and the violence is very mild when compared to other movies and video games that kids watch and play. No blood and guts (mainly 'cause the bad guys are skeletons!!!).
If you are looking for a truly good, fun movie, then go see this one. If you're looking for something you can sink your teeth into and have hours worth of discussions afterward then don't. It's really as simple as that. Take this movie for what it is-- an absolutely delightful, light, fun trip to swashbuckling pirate days that will make you laugh and forget your troubles for about two and a half hours.
I've seen this movie five times, and would absolutely go see it again!!! Just for the sheer fun of it!!!

Review: I thought this film was a brilliant peice of cinematic artistry. And the plot composition was absolutly wonderful.
The tale of risking everything for your love and meeting pirates (the good, the bad, and the ugly) pulls you to places you cant wait to go. Not to mention the suspenceful subplot of...well we wont go into that.
Disney has done a wonderful job with the casting as well. Jhonny Depp as the Drunken Captian Jack Sparrow, Orlando Bloom as innocent Will Turner, and Gefforey Rush as the pirate you love to hate. This movie is worth the seven dollars to see it in the cinema, it's an unforgettable event.

Review: I didn't expect a whole lot out of this movie because it's disney, and it's based off of a frigging theme park ride, but it is worth 3 stars nonetheless. All the people giving 5 stars and saying it's the best movie ever are like 11 and 12 years old so don't listen to them becaue they are not old enough to go see any good movies anyway. Johnny Depp delivers the greatest performance of his career. He perfectly portrays the half insane, half drunk Captain Jack Sparrow. Geoffrey Rush also delivers a great performance as captain Barbarossa. Orlando Bloom is on the melodramatic side I think he is in this movie just because he looks like a pirate. He gives a better performance in Lord of the Rings. Kiera Knightley, why is she even in this movie. Her acting skills are at very best mediocre and it seems like the only reason she likes will is because her father doesn't want her to. Overall it is a good movie, it looks great and I love the special effects especially when Jack and Barbarossa are fighting and they change from flesh to skeleton and back again. Jack Sparrow has great lines and Johnny Depp was awesome. Go see it.

Summary: Skeleton Wars
Review: This Movie is fun for the whole family! Very well woven into the Disney ride, it allows the viewer to really see the entire story, instead of a vague outlook. Many of the parts from the ride are woven into the movie, i.e. the skeleton drinking the rum, the prisoners calling for the dog with bones etc. This weave of the ride and the movie gave me a chuckle at times and made it enjoyable. The character choice was perfect, and i have not met a person who does not like Johnny Depp in this movie. His character give 3 different moods throughout the movie, staggering, tough and witty, and the most interesting a somewhat pleasingly feminine attitude. I also enjoyed the well woven love story into this very exciting action packed movie, filled with pirates, gold and of coarce sword fights and cannons! All in all this movie is one of a kind, and with its sucess, will lead Disney into a whole new type of genre for its films! One of the best movies of the year, in fact, probably the best movie i have seen this year!

Summary: a review from a former skeptic
Review: yeah, so I saw the trailer for PotC 2 or 3 times, and was not interested at all. I didn't even think about the movie again, until my grandma recommended it. So...I've seen it 3 times in 2 weeks, and the only reason I haven't seen it again, is because there isn't a theater that is close that is still playing it!
This is a GREAT movie- I thought 2 1/2 hours would be too long, but it didn't feel long at all- and once it was over, all I wanted to do was watch it again!
Johnny Depp is unarguably my favorite character- never a dull moment when Jack is on screen- no matter what he's doing- it's extremely entertaining! I like to quote a bunch of the jokes in the movie (they're still funny!), and still laugh about some of the things he did- it's very fun to watch!
The plot is interesting- it goes straight from one thing to another, and it's never obvious what's going to happen next. And it goes right up to the end- there's no slowing down.
This movie even kept my tired dad awake, and we went to a 10:15 PM showing (the last in our area... :P)
I would give this movie more than 5 stars if I could- I'm enjoying the soundtrack (really good, too!!!) and trying to wait patiently for the DVD to come out!
SO- if you haven't seen this movie- go see it!PS I don't see why people are complaining about the end- what else could've happened?

Review: "Pirates..." has it ALL - love, action, plot, comedy, with the actors and director to pull it all off in a fantastic production. Johnny Depp is uniquely exceptionally, especially when matched on screen with Orlando Bloom, and the rest of the cast. I loved the variety of this movie, as it appealed on many levels to me. I saw this twice in theaters, and I may well return. It WILL be part of my DVD collection ASAP. If you haven't seen it - GO. Go now.

Review: Pirates of The Caribbean:The Curse of the Black Pearl is an exciting thrill ride for the entire family. This Movie has it all!! It stars Johnny Depp (Jack Sparrow), Geoffrey Rush (Barbossa), Orlando Bloom (Will Turner), and my favorite, The lovely and beautiful Keira Knightley (Elizabeth Swann)! It's plot is about a cursed crew of cutthroats who want back their acursed gold. They are then on the hunt for the treasure and the adventre begins! There is plenty of action and humor in this thriller. Keira Knightley kicks plenty of butt along with the rest of the cast! Spectacular graphics and fun await you at the movies.

Review: This movie was SO entertaining with little, if any, of the usual [stuff] Hollywood throws in to sell movies. I was captivated from the opening credits until the extra tidbit after the closing credits which predicts a sequel. [YAY!!] Orlando Bloom made my heart go boom and Johnny Depp was fantastic! He made me want to be a pirate. If you haven't seen this movie, don't wait another second. It is well worth the price of admission.
