Summary: Peter Pan
Review: It was one of the best movies I've seen, I loved Jeremy!!!
It was a pity the end was so sad, shouldnt it have been like in the book by J Barrie, that Wendy goes to Neverland to do spring cleaning once a year, or Mr and Mrs Darling and Nana go back to Neverland with them????

Summary: The best movie ever
Review: Peter Pan is by far the best movie i have ever seen in my life. It is so sweet, the whole wendy and peter thing that had going. And at the end when her kiss saved him, me and all the other girls i was watching the movie with cried our eyes out. And it doesn't just apply to girls, the fighting scenes are amazing..they really did a good job. Jeremy Sumpter is awesome, he is precious too..his smile, thats all i have to say. That movie makes me want a hot guy to come be my peter pan and take me to neverland...wendy is so lucky i do believe. Anyway i would recomend this movie to everyone, its the best EVERRRRR!

Summary: Fayes Fantastic Review on Peter Pan
Review: I thought Peter Pan was absouloutly brilliant and anyone who does not like it is mental! Jeremy Sumpter (Peter Pan) was a top guality actor in Local Boys, Just a Dream and Frality. He was the right person to have played the part. Jason Issacs (Captain Hook and Mr Darling) was brilliant in the film aswell. I would definatley recommend this film to people who like action and romance and anyone who likes the original book.

Summary: Unbeleivable!
Review: I was so shocked. I took my daughter to see this for her 5th birthday, not expecting to be sucked into this cinematic wonder. This is one of the best fantasy films ever made. Usually kid actors ruin pieces, but the Wendy charcter was done to perfection as was the rest of the cast. Visually it reminded me a bit of old Tim Burton films like Bettlegeuse, Edward Scissorhands. The mermaids, the crocodile, the ships, tinkerbell, the cave...everything was shot fantastically! I can't say enough about this one. It is a shame that it cost 100 million to make and has only brought in 49 million as of now, because this one is so superior to all the garbage that Disney has been putting out as of late.
sidenote- not only was the film fantastic, but I got more than what I had bargained for, when a lady carrying two buckets of popcorn tripped on the stairs, sending popcorn flying all over the seats. (no, she wasn't hurt and the theatre did not refund her. Ha!)

Summary: SAW IT 7 TIMES!
Review: I loved this movie. It is literally the best PG movie I've ever seen. The only odd thing is that all but the main character, Peter Pan (Jeremy Sumpter), is British.

Summary: Extraordinary Film
Review: What an INCREDIBLE movie!! Wonderfully written, directed and acted. The effectsmake Neverland unbelievable yet quite real - a true (gorgeous) fantasy land. The young actors were superb, never campy or saccharine rot-your-teeth sweet. These are characters that youngsters can easily relate to, but also relatable to all adults who felt these feelings. The immensly talanted and oh so very very handsome JASON ISAACS plays one of the best movie villians ever. He plays James Hook exquisitely; dangerous, dark, brooding, yet with golden glimmers of what this man could have been;(the man Peter would become if he grew up); with a subtle sexual edge that understandably entrances Wendy. Mr. Isaacs is also wonderful as Wendy's father, George Darling. Excellent ensemble acting, Mrs Darling was wonderful, as was the aunt (new character). This is a movie for all ages and backgrounds - it stays close to the novel by Mr. Barrie, yet when it strays, it's an improvement. No bad things to say about this film!

Summary: Faithfulness made this fantasy epic work
Review: This movie has both pros and cons. There are more pros than cons, but the few cons here are quite heavy.

The cons:

The movie isn't long enough. It should have been extended to 2 1/2 hours. Many feastful sights appear consecutively, but it isn't long before they disappear and aren't seen again throughout the movie. Everything seems to go by too quickly to remember much that happened.

Jeremy Sumpter is utterly dashing and certainly has the perfect Peter Pan look and an awe-inspiring athletic ability, but when it came to acting, he just didn't quite cut it. It's true that he tries his best, don't get me wrong, and he does have his points where he shines (particularly in the scene where Tink almost dies from drinking Captain Hook's poison). At times he seems to be the only one that could do the role, but overall, he mostly fails not only to really convey Peter's inexhaustible sense of fun, adventure, and vitality, but also to overcome sticking out like a sore thumb, being the only American in a cast full of Brits and Australians. I kept trying to see him as the ideal Peter Pan, but he messes up so many times that it completely threw me off.

The French screen sensation Ludivine Sagnier is wasted as Tinkerbell, a completely unappealing little fairy who does none other than ham it all up with her annoying obnoxiousness. What would have been nicer was if they had Tink keep her mischievousness and arrogance, but had a more restrained side to her that would give us a truly magical impression of a fairy, much like the one in the Disney version. Did they really have to turn Tinker into a stinker? Gee whiz!

Also wasted is the much-loved Lynn Redgrave, who plays the role of a rather unnecessary new character Aunt Millicent. Her place in the movie is not at all important but to appraise Wendy for marriage, but later to be exemplified as grotesquely comic and off-the-wall. For instance, sometime later in the film, we get a glimpse of her in the bathtub at one point, singing, "I do believe in fairies" in a high-pitched voice, and she ruins the movie's final scene by whooping loudly when she realizes she gets to be the mother of one of the lost boys, instead of doing something touching like crying with tears of happiness.

The pros:

Newcomer Rachel Hurd-Wood is radiant and angelic as Wendy Darling. She shows a convincing talent that demonstrates a fine range of enlightenment and poignant drama, which suits the pivotal role of Wendy perfectly. Her acting here never loses its credibility for one moment. I feel she has been robbed of a 2003 Best Actress Oscar nomination for her fine work here, but that doesn't mean she may not get one in the future, because you can expect a long and successful career for this gifted English rose. I can't wait to see what she does next.

Also great to watch is Jason Isaacs, who does a knockout job playing the menacing, ill-mannered Captain Hook. He is simply the most adequate Captain Hook in all of movie history, performing with a wonderful mix of monstrosity and black comedy. He also does a terrific job as the stern but devoted father Mr. Darling, handling his dramatic complexity admirably well. He was no less clever than Johnny Depp was in "Pirates of the Caribbean", so if Johnny Depp was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar, why not Jason Isaacs?!!

Olivia Williams brings the perfect motherly warmth to her role as Mrs. Darling.

All the lost boys are terrific.

Richard Briers, as Hook's assistant Smee, adds some great aside jokes, which always call for a laugh.

The sets are just glorious: the Darling home in London, the nursery, the London sky, the Neverland forests, the Jolly Roger, the Black Castle, the Mermaid Lagoon, the Home Underground. What a sight.

The narration, provided by Saffron Burrows, is lovely. Her voice is so rich and soothing that it's impossible not to be drawn in.

James Newton Howard's music score is a winner. It's just perfect to suit the story. He creates a Peter Pan music score more magical than we could ever have hoped for. No wonder he's a five-time Oscar nominee.

Summary: The Most Enchanting Movie of the Year
Review: I just returned from seeing the film for the second time and found it more enchanting than ever - a perfect blend of truly magical special effects, faithful script adaptation and flawless acting. Jeremy Sumpter captures all of Peter's engaging egotism as well as his tragic vulnerability; Rachel Hurd-Wood glows with intelligence, charm and spirit; and Jason Isaacs masters his duel role to perfection. If there were any justice, this film would have been nominated for multiple Oscars, certainly for Script Adaptation and Special Effects. The sight of the pirate ship sailing the fogs of London is worth the price of admission, and the relationship between Peter and Wendy - including their aerial dance - is as romantic as anything I've seen in years. Much as I loved "Return of the King," "Peter Pan" reminds me more of the pure bliss I felt watching "Fellowship of the Ring," unadulterated by problems with the adaptation. "Peter Pan" captures all the subtleties of Barrie's multi-layered writing with touches of its own fairy dust.
