Review: I know I'm just repeating what so many others have said, but this is just a great movie.Groundhog day is one of the unnoticed gems, movies that people expect to be lightweight that are revealed to be deeply meaningful. Others I put in that category are Cadence, The Frighteners, and Drop Dead Fred, but Groundhog Day is the best.

Review: The best films, books, theatre, etc. are always those which entertain while surreptitiously delivering a knock-out dose of good medicine. For those of you out there who are arrogant and haughty (you know who you are); for those who think mundane people, places and assignments are a punishment from the gods; for those who find few moments in life cause celebre'; in short, for those suffering from the same existential disease as this reviewer - you must buy this film. Watch it over and over (I promise you won't get bored) until you REALLY get it; it will save you at least 100,000 future lives.

Review: Bill Murray reestablishes himself as a genuine character in this simple, yet cathartic story. As in his role in the umpteenth rendition of Ebeneezer Scrooge in the dark and somewhat twisted "Scrooged", Bill Murray again seethes as an unlikeable fellow early on, only to meet his match in a series of unexpected and unexplainable circumstances. Faced with endlessly repeating days, his character slowly learns to appreciate and care for people (besides himself). Armed with his newly developed people skills, honed day after day in sleepy Punxsatawny, he yearns for tomorrow to finally come. And it does, finally, but only after true awareness and the ability to love another become the guideposts in his life. A winner - watch it again and again.

Summary: Great Innovative and Charming Comedy
Review: I thought I wouldn't like this movie. But once I saw it I got caught up in the interesting premise and charmed by its good-hearted underpinnings. Hopefully will join "It's a Wonderful Life" as a classic. Bill Murray is great and the whole story just keeps you laughing throughout. One of my favorite movies.

Summary: One of Murray's best
Review: This movie has an excellent plot that makes you think after you've seen it. If you were stuck in the same day over and over, would you use it to your advantage and not worry about the consequences (because there aren't any), or would you try and become a better person. But anyway, this is a nice movie (there's a real shortage of those). It doesn't really on swearing to be funny, and the romance isn't full of sex. The only downer is that it gets a bit too bogged down in the romance side (which is a lot less funny).
