Summary: Good Movie
Review: I am a big anime fan and I liked this movie. It is the only movie that can fit in with the Dragon Ball Z TV series. It's about Goku's son, Gohan gets kidnapped by the evil Garlic Jr. Goku then has to rescue him. It had a lot of action and excellent animation. You get to see the English dubbed and English subtitled versions on one disc. I also liked the fact that it had scenes that were deleted from the first and second English dubbed TV episodes. The only drawback was that the movie was only 45 minutes long. If you love Dragon Ball Z, buy this movie!

Summary: It's good, but the characters are weak
Review: This is a fairly good example of DBZ, but it happens before Raditz shows up, so the characters are all pretty weak, and because of that the fighting isn't very intense. All in all a good (if short) movie that is worth getting if you like DBZ, but like all DBZ it is better to get the subbed version if you can. Also it looks like funimation has stopped producing it for the moment.

Summary: LOTS OF ACTION! bad timing.
Review: I'm a huge dragonball fan and love amine. This is the type of amine that makes Japan better in the cartoon world than America. There were people fighting that I never thought I would see (che che, kame) the only problem was when gohan showed his true powers. It was cool but should've only been in the Radits saga.

Summary: Decent Dragonball
Review: Dead Zone is probably the best of the three Dragonball Movies. It has a good story and pretty intense action. The story is about Garlic Jr., who wishes for immortality to avenge his fathers death against Kame, protector of the Earth, who defeated him long ago. He also captures Gohan, which gets Goku involved. When Goku gets to the scene, there is some good fighting against Jr.'s henchmen. Piccolo also comes to help, but for different reasons. In this film, you also get to see Kame fight, which is pretty cool. The ending is also pretty intense, as Garlic becomes a huge monster and pounds on Goku and Piccolo. However, Piccolo and Goku are tough and fight back. When they think they've beaten Garlic, Piccolo attacks Goku (at this point in time, Goku and Piccolo are still enemies). Then Garlic gets back up and creates a huge black hole that begins sucking everything in. This is when it gets really awesome. Gohan becomes enraged, and if you've ever seen the series, Gohan is extremely powerful when he's mad. He blasts Garlic into the black hole where he will live in nothingness forever because he wished for immortality. Out of all the films this one is the most action packed. If you want another action packed film, pick up Tree of Might. The only downside to that one is the dumb plot. Dead Zone shows America how Dragonball should be.

Summary: some good, some bad
Review: This movie has some high points and some low points. The good things are that the film is uncut, so the characters aren't made to sound or look like sissys when fighting. There is also a lot of action in this film and some powerfull villains. The only bad things are the fact that the subject is earth being destroyed by, get this, a TREE. There is also some stupid dragon that befriends Gohan and this makes Gohan look like a wimp even though he is one of the toughest characters. If you are going to buy this movie, get it for the action an uncut parts, not the plot.

Summary: Great, trust me, I'm a DBZ God
Review: This one was great for the following reasons: 1) Kame fighting, kickin! 2) Lots of hand to hand, which is better than fireballs. 3) That one scene between Goku with his staff and the guy with the sword.... 4) Come on, it's Dragon Ball!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best yet from DragonBall Z!
Review: With great animation and action, this is defently the best movie of the three. I think Gohan is the greatest when he fights Garlic Jr. Goku is the strongest ever and Piccolo is great. I defently give this movie five stars and two thumbs way up.

Summary: Reveiw from the great Oozari
Review: Like all DBZ movies, this was pretty good, but I've seen better. One of the worst things is that there's barely any music, and Goku's voice sounded awfull. The best part in the movie was when Gohan sent Garlic Jr. into the dead zone.It was gross but funny how Krillin found Gohan in the uncut virsion. If you saw it you'll know what I mean.

Summary: FUNimation's best piece of work.
Review: A great movie. All the original content was kept in from the original Japanese version ("Return my Gohan.") Dead Zone is a very exciting movie with lots of action, comedy, and in-depth storyline. If you're a true Dragon Ball Z fan, you'll love this!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: This is the best DBZ movie out of the 3
