Summary: Jimmy Neutron
Review: This movie was just another over hyped computer animated kids film. I went in with high hopes but was soon faced with utter disapointment. The comedy quickly grew tired and the characters poor animation was sad. The main character looks like something you would see on the side of a Wendys Kids Meal bag. The rarely working invention concept has been seen time and time again. After watching movies such as Shrek and the Toy Story movies this movie is nothing but the desperate attempt of Nickelodeon to get into main stream computer animation. If you happen to have money that you have decided to burn and scatter into the wind I would recommend you spend it on this movie instead, otherwise stay away.

Summary: My Kids Loved It
Review: That's probably the most important thing to consider. I took my three kids ages 5, 4, and 2 1/2. They all sat still and enjoyed it a lot. It was one of those "can we go back again" movies. There were a few parts where the kids got mouthy on screen and that always bothers me a little, but I didn't detect that my kids were imitating it afterward. The story moves quickly and parents won't be bothered by watching it a lot. As soon as it hits DVD, I'm getting it for my kids.

Summary: Entertaining for adults, too!
Review: After sitting through "Snow Dogs" the week before, I found "Jimmy" to be a pleasant surprise. My four-year-old and two-year-old were laughing out loud, and there were plenty of "hidden" adult jokes, also. This movie really gets the imagination going, and I cannot wait to purchase it!

Summary: Jimmy Neutron: Boy [Is This Film Bad]
Review: Jimmy Neutron may be a genius, but the people who made this movie sure aren't. This movie had never appealed to me, but I got free tickets to a sneak preview of it, and since I had nothing to do on the night of preview, I decided to go to it. How I wish I hadn't. One of the main problems with the film is the type of animation they decided to use. It reminded me of animation that's in several computer games, especially "SimTheme Park". Sure, it would have suited a half-an-hour cartoon show, but not a full length movie! The characters are dull and unfunny. Jimmy Neutron, the title character, is cute at first, but then becomes annoying. Very annoying. The story itself is unoriginal and, well, lame. A boy genius who gets himself into many little adventures. Half the shows on The Cartoon Network are already about that! Young children may find it entertaining, but it's going to be an absolute pain for their parents to sit through. I wanted to walk out of the theater in the first 20 minutes of the film, but since my 5-year-old niece (who I took to the screening with me) seemed to be enjoying herself, I decided not to. But it turns out that she didn't enjoy it that much at all! When I asked her how she liked it she responded: "It was OK." Why was this film nominated for an Oscar? I can't believe this beat out "Waking Life" in the new animated film category. In a year of many great animated films, this one is at the bottom of the cartoon barrel.

Summary: Jimmy Neutral
Review: Lost in the shuffle of CGI animated films of 2001, JIMMY NEUTRON is a charming little film. It does not aim as high as SHREK or MONSTERS, INC., but it does entertain the younger set. With computer animation making such big waves with its detail, NEUTRON delivers on a less stellar result. But, the storyline involves a robot dog, amusement parks and outer space equipped with aliens. What more could a youngster want! Don't be surprised to see NEUTRON return to the screen, as Nickelodeon will probably exploit the franchise. As long as it isn't Pokemon...

Summary: Three Thumbs up!
Review: A great kids movie that is enjoyable for adults as well.

Lots of color, action, silly scenes, and imagination from the kids point of view.

My kids absolutely loved it (4, 5, 6 years old). While my son (just turned 4) loved it and was not afraid (my concern for movies with "bad guys") I can see how other children may not be so happy.

So, go into this great movie with "optimistic caution" for the very young.

Summary: Terrifying for 3 year old
Review: My three year old is a level headed child. She casually watches just about everything from Courage the Cowardly Dog on down. Nothing has EVER scared her before. She absolutely FREAKED after this movie, crying, terrified. It's too much for the tiny ones. It is the scariest thing that a kid could imagine..their parents are kidnapped by aliens! Limit the viewing to kids sophisticated enough to understand it's only pretend!!

Summary: I fear for our humanity
Review: This, my friends, is the end. The first sign of teh cinematic apocalypse. Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, a festering wound in throat of modern moviemaking, has officially brought down the IQ of me and the moviegoing audience of today. I felt so ashamed of seeing this movie, that I actually went to the theater the next day and set up posters boycotting the picture. It's that bad. What's that, you say? What is teh movie about, you say? This crapsterpiece is about pretty stupid kids trying to save their very stupid parents from even stupider aliens who are trying to sacrifice them to a REALLY stupid giant chicken. Leading the children is Jimmy Neutron, probably the stupidest genius who ever walked the planet. He lives in a town where everyone doesn't like him because he makes supercool inventions and constantly makes life better for them. Nobody seems to care that Jimmy has invented a nonpollutant mode of transportation, or that he can destroy all that oppose him with teh push of a button. Note: During the entire movie, i noticed that there were virtually no minorities at all, except for one Spanish-American who sucks his thumb constantly. One example of stupidity in this movie was one particular scene: Jimmy's father enters the kitchen after he hears a startling noise. He doesn't bother to pick up a weapon of any kind, he just walks in there, half-asleep. He sees a dark green alien rummaging through his refrigerator, while holding a laser gun. This was where i was hoping for some sort of human response, some sign that this is not a cheap attempt for a franchise. The father's response: "Hey,you're not Jimmy!" At that point i went to the bathroom to throw up. This is not a movie, ladies and gentlemen, but a travesty upon which we must all act upon. If you dont think this is serious enough, look at it this way: soon children will be watching Jimmy Nuetron every night on his own TV show. I pray for all your children
