Summary: Love affair with Blade.
Review: I have read many, 2 MANY reviews of this movie complaining about this and that about the damned voice over narration! What about the rest of the film!?! What about Darryl Hannah's haunting performance? What about the amazing umbrellas that also serve as flashlights (how brilliantly innovative!) And the rain! And the costumes! And the rain! And the blimp/billboard with the spooky geisha lady singing! And the...rain! These visions and sounds are permenately etched in my brain, and I like them there! There is so, so much more to this film than the voice over narration by Deckard. Harrison Ford probably thinks were all a bunch of losers squabbling about this much ado about nothing.

AND BY THE WAY.....Where were all you Blade Runner buffs when they released the 10th anniverary edition of Blade Runner in 1993? It's the original version and I have it! Ha ha. :)

Summary: Awesome movie, One of my all time favorites.
Review: I was lucky enough to see the release of the directors cut in the theater. I liked the new ending way better, but I miss the narration. It gave the movie a detective novel quality. In an ideal world, they would release the directors cut with an alternate side containing the narration. I still think this is one of the few movies better than the book it was based on.

Summary: No.1 cult movie
Review: This one has it all;sci-fi,action,mystery and is truly one of a kind.An unforgetable masterpiece that has earned a special place in my collection.

Summary: The Orginal Was Better !
Review: Not much to say except that both my husband and I enjoyed the original Blade Runner much, much more. Actually, ordered it from Amazon at Christmas not realizing it was a different cut from the original shown in theaters (so many years ago!) Some script was changed and there was very little voice-over or ad-libbing by Harrison which for us made the original movie more interesting. Anyway, I had always said that this was one of my top-ten movies, but certainly not the Director's Cut. How can I get the original???

Summary: * warning *
Review: I'm sorry this is one of my favourite movies of all time, but I bought the DVD and it is absolutely one of the worse transfers I have ever seen. The image actually wobbles back and forth like it was shot from a hand held camera. I would suggest waiting until Warner does a proper DVD release of this title. (FYI, I bought it from HMV a very reputable firm)

Summary: The only perfect movie ever made.
Review: This movie takes a series of ideas central to our spiritual existence and immerses them in the most perfectly realized movie environment ever created. That Blade Runner is a timeless masterpiece becomes apparent whenever intelligent individuals discuss their favorite movies. On the other hand, people who fail to comprehend the excellence of this artistic masterpiece are usually limited in many other areas such as philosophy, ethics, science, and imagination. You would probably find them intolerably boring...

Ridley Scott, thank you for this wonderful creation.

Summary: If you want to see a Sci-fi Movie see Blade Runner!
Review: The Bleak future of Blade Runner has always been one of the Best settings in cinematic history. This newer Directors Cut version is far superior to the older Harrison Ford voice-over version.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Director's cut or original?
Review: I find the director cut superior because it doesn't spoon-feed its story to the MTV generation, but the original version is still a classic.

My suggestion is to release a DVD with both versions on it, one on each side. That would be the best of both worlds.

Summary: GREAT SI-FI FLICK AND I OWN THE DIRECTOR'S CUT
Review: I've rented this movie a bunch of times before i bought it on dvd. The movie is totally differant in the director's cut than the other format. But the thing that gets me is there is no version formated to fit your telle and if you got 60 inch screen what a waste of space. If I could find a copy thats formated for normal veiwing I would get it.

Summary: Waow, great !!!
Review: Yeah, that's the only words that came out my mouth after seing Blade Runner, the Director's cut : "Waow, great !!!"

A Sci-Fi film with a real (detective) story, a great (but beautifully ugly !) fututistic view of a dark and moody Los Angeles, a former cop called back to destroy androids called 'replicants (played by a wonderfull Harrison Ford), a gloomy ambience that sticks you on your seat and a soundtrack wich is nothing but perfect...

If, after reading this, you don't understand I love this film... you will never...

It's a masterpiece by Ridley Scott.

Unfortunately I liked the voice-over narration that has been removed... On the other end the 'kind' ending was... well... too kind and too predictable. I'd like to combine the two versions.

Anyway, it's a must-have film wich is fabulous in DVD format ! Let's go and buy it if you don't have it !

By the way : 5 stars is not enough for it, I would have given it 6 !!!
