Rating: Summary: Keep It Real! Review: I think that it was ok. The first movie was very exiting, and different. When this movie starts Will SMith is doing what he always did. He is obsessed with flashing everyone, and making up new things for them. SO truely he didnt grow up.He has been through a BUNCH of partners. He goes to find Tommy Lee Jones who working at the Post OFfice, but all the clips they show in the previews that is all we see in the movie too!He gets Jones back, with in minutes. It was like oh.. ok.. i will work for MIB. It was veyr strange in the first EVERYTHING was elaborate, and they made sure that you had to think. This movie just kept going like ok they will get it later, or not. Then they got "flushed?" and then ended up looking on EBAY for another machine to get Jones memory back. The lady in this movie (what is her name)??Boyle?? well she had no point at all.. she just roamed around in this leather outfit and looking cute. WHAT What the LIGHT what did it do??? They never explained that BUT she NEEDED IT? Well I think that it was a good movie, everything picked up where it left off. I mean the sets looked the same, and such. But i think that they didnt have the same chemisty that they did in the first movie. *smith * jones * they just were doing their job. I did enjoy this movie, but i think that they could have done a must better job with the plot, and such. But it was nice to watch and get out of the hot summer sun!
Rating: Summary: Men in Black are Back. . . Sort of. . . Review: This was a pretty decent movie. I was a bit disappointed as the formula that worked so very well in the first film, felt a touch too much like a sequel in this film (yes, I know it is a sequel, but you can really feel it in this movie). Right after the first movie was such a success, the rumor mill had this one pegged for a return. The fact that "Agent J" has become disillusioned with the MIB was kind of a cool plot point, bringing more depth to his character. And, bringing Tommy Lee Jones back with the "De-neuralizer" was a pretty cool solution to what happens at the end of MIB. Overall the movie was pretty good, it is worth having, and it is pretty funny. Perhaps if I had never seen the first one, this would have been less of a letdown. I think the movies were too similar. Where movies like the "Die Hard" series, seem to reinvent themselves, just enough to remain interesting, I think perhaps MIIB failed this a bit. . . I score this movie about average. Hopefully they will redeem anything lost in the next installment. epc
Rating: Summary: What a load o' hooey Review: ..I've spent more fascinating hours watching "Iron Chef" than this bad sequel to an already middling movie.
Rating: Summary: OK, but not great. Review: "Men In Black", or "MIB" was a very good movie. It wasn't, however, a movie that i really wanted a sequel to. I only went to see it based on the fact that the first movie was so good. I left the theater very dissapointed though. The movie was EXACTLY the same as the first one. I mean the plot is even the same. Instead of training Will Smith as an agent, they're training (or re-training) Tommy Lee Jones as a agent. In the end, of course, they save the day and everything is swell. Nothing can save the plot of this movie though.
Rating: Summary: Back in bleaggghhhhk. Review: Some sequels shouldn't be made. This is one of them. The first film was good in a quickie B-movie sense, with it's cool special effects and wry humor. This flick is just plain dumb. It seems like they filmed it in a week and through all of the special effects in to cover what a plotless mess they had. What happened to Johnny Knoxville? His character just dissapeared! The only reason I give this turkey any stars is that my pug Mog found the character Frank to be outrageously humerous.
Rating: Summary: Someone actually wrote this ...? Review: I usually am not that crass but "..." was the cleanest word that I could use in a family-friendly website. Well, "dung" comes to mind. ALL PARTIES SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED FOR THIS TOTALLY UNFUNNY SEQUEL. Thankfully, Messrs. Smith, Jones, and Sonnenfeld have other films in their respective body of work for which they can be proud. This is not one of them.
Rating: Summary: Warning: RCE. DO NOT BUY! Review: If you live in North America (excluding Mexico, because, apparently, they don't count), and have a "modified" DVD player, you'll be instructed to buy a DVD appropriate to your region, as indicated by their map. So, this won't play on "enabled" machines, even if they're in North America (again, excluding Mexico). It's perfectly legal in the United States to own an "enabled" player. What's not legal is for a company to produce a product they know is defective.
Rating: Summary: Men in Boring Review: The only thing good about this film were the special effects. Everything else was downright awful. It was boring, the acting was bad, the jokes were weak, and the action was uninspiring. I physically hurt just thinking about this film. Please don't waste your time.
Rating: Summary: Back In Black Review: This movie isn't totally action-packed and exciting as everyone probably expected to be. Instead, it was more of a relaxed and fun movie. It was incredibly fun and completely original. It's more of an enjoyable, good-time oriented film than the suspenseful and adventurous thriller everyone expected it to be. That's not saying that there's no action in it because there is. The story-line in this movie is not completely exciting, but it is entertaining. The acting is only fair, but it hits the spot! Men In Black II may not be of an award-winning caliber, but it is certainly worth watching.
Rating: Summary: not as good as the first, but not bad overall Review: The first one was better, but I still liked the sequel. Will Smith's character seemed a little bit cheesy in this film. First he's upset that know one in the world knows him, then he falls in love with this girl. It's a little too much of you ask me. I was expecting to see a comedy-action movie, not a love story. However, I must be fair. The movie does have it's moments. I especially liked the scene in the post office when Tommy Lee Jones's character finds out that he is surrounded by aliens. The cameo by Biz Markie drew the whole scene together. I would recomend that you do see this movie. Don't buy it though, just go rent it.
