Review: horrible. This is probably one of the top 25 worst movies ever. It gets only a couple new ideas the rest borrowed from the oriinal, entertaining MIB, and every other movie. I laughed twice. One was more of a smile than a laugh. I kept looking at my watch waiting for the movie to let out, its really shory but seemed longer than almost every movie. Too many stupid movies add to the horrible script and the result is this "movie". It is a rehash of a way better prequel. Hard to believe this was made in the same decade let alone year as the astounding Minority Report. A COMPLETE letdown.

Summary: Nothing new here, very disappointing.
Review: I loved 'Men In Black' so I was really excited about the sequel, starring again, two of the best actors in the business. Unfortunately I walked out of this movie very disappointed. The movie, while still showcasing marvelous special effects, really had nothing new to offer. MIB2 was mildy entertaining, but didn't have me laughing like the original did. The dog had a few funny lines, but apart from that I thought its casting as the alien side-kick let the whole movie down. There are plenty of kids movies to go to if one wants to see talking dogs. Smith also had some funny lines here and there, but I had heard most of them already from television and theatre trailers. I couldn't even laugh at the line about the 'black dude getting pulled over' as I must of heard this line five times previous. (Take note distributors) The movie lacked the punch of the originals soundtrack. Not once in the movie did I hear the audience laugh in unison. Different groups would laugh at different times while the rest of the audience sat in silience at the comedy. I hate to say it, but I could have walked out at half time and wouldn't have missed anything. MIB2 is worth renting on DVD or video but I don't recommended a trip to the theatre for this one or a DVD purchase.

Review: Although I found the original Men In Black™ only mildly entertaining, and I didn't really like what I saw in the trailers, I decided to check the second installment anyway. I had nothin' better to do, and besides, my friend was pickin' up the dime for the tickets, so I figured what the hell. After grabbin' my multipocketed pants and fillin' 'em up with Hot Tamales™, pretzel sticks, and a Big Slam™ Mountain Dew™, me & m' main-man headed off to the local multiplex.Unfortunately, about ten minutes into the flick, I I knew I was in for major disappointment. The humorous moments here were super-corny and not nearly as funny as the ones in the original MIB™. Will Smith's shuckin'-&-jivin'-with-'tude routine here is pretty much the same as was seen in Bad Boys™, Independence Day™ and the original MIB™, and if it hadn't worn thin with those other flicks, it sure has in this one. As for Tommy Lee Jones-well, both my friend and I agreed that he most likely did this flick for the money, since he's not nearly as good here as he was in the first go-round. Of course, if ya could choose between this and a third The Fugitive™ movie, I guess ya just gotta go where the real bucks are, right? Lara Flynn-Boyle is a nice bit o' eye-candy for the menfolk as she dons the role of the big extraterrestrial heavy disguised as a Victoria's Secret™ model. But otherwise she didn't add much to this feature. And Johnny Knoxville, the original Jackass™, lived up to his namesake in a fairly unfunny role as Lara's two-headed sidekick in evil. Methinks he might've accepted this part so he'd have a few bucks to finance his upcoming Jackass™ flick... But the worst 'actors' of the lot had to be the CGI-enhanced ET sidekicks, especially the pug and the worms-with-limbs. I found their so-called 'witty' dialogue to be kinda annoying and bothersome, similar to the back-and-forth banter between the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™ in their live-action flicks. And their antics were even dumber, almost on par with Jar Jar Binks™' little crack-ups in Star Wars™ Episode I! In conclusion, I suggest you find some other blockbuster to blow your hard-earned bucks on. I hear Spider-Man™ and Star Wars™ Episode II are on their way to the second-run-$3.00-for-a-double-feature theater houses pretty soon. But if you absolutely-unquestionably-gotta-see-MIIB™-right-now, minimize your losses by catching it in midweek during the daytime. Oh yeah, and don't forget to sneak your own snacks into the feature. It's bad enough they're rippin' ya off at the box office- don't let 'em victimize you again at the snack bar! 'Late

Summary: Not Like The Original, But Still Quite Funny
Review: Come ON, people -- did you REALLY expect this one to top the first one? The sequel is rarely as good as the original. The chemistry between Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith is still there, is still funny, and is still worth the money. Yes, it could have had more meat (i.e., too much was explained away rather than acted out, like why the girl at the end of the first movie wasn't still J's partner in the second movie, and why K isn't married anymore). But overall, it was a good movie. Not as good as the original, but certainly not bad.

Summary: FUNNY AND IRREVERENT...
Review: A funny and enjoyable sequel, MiB 2 is a film to be taken at face value. What you see is what you get. There are a lot of sight gags and jokes, most of which are funny. This is a simple, upbeat movie with some great special effects. The premise of the film is simple. In 1978, Laranna, Queen of the Universe, landed on this planet, wanting to leave the Light of Zartha here on Earth, The villainous and totally evil, shape changing alien, Serleena, vowed to destroy any planet that would give safe harbor to the Light of Zartha. Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) was then the agent in charge of the operation that was to ensure that Queen Laranna would depart Earth, taking the Light of Zartha with her, with Serleena in hot pursuit, thus saving the Earth from destruction. Enter present day Earth, MiB Agent J (Will Smith), having come into his own since the retirement of his mentor and former partner, Agent K, has neuralized yet another unsatisfactory partner, Agent T (Patrick Warburton). Summoned to MiB headquarters, J meets with the head honcho for MiB, Zed (Rip Torn), and discovers that his new partner is Frank the Pug. Together they are to investigate an unusual occurrence and debrief Rita (Rosario Dawson), the witness. He does so and discovers not only love at first sight when he meets Rita, but also that Serleena (in the form of Lara Flynn Boyle) is back on Earth, once more searching for the Light of Zartha and vowing not to leave Earth without it. Working with a pretty stupid, two headed alien, Scard and Charlie, hilariously played by Johnny Knoxville, Serleena is on the prowl. She must not, however, get her mitts on the LIght of Zartha, or all is lost. It turns out that Agent K must be brought back from the obscurity of Maine, where he is the postmaster, and de-neuralized, as it is he who carries with him the secret of what really happened to the Light of Zartha. Only Agents K and J, working together again, can stop Serleena from getting the Light of Zartha. In the intervening years since they last worked together, Agent J has matured, while Agent K finds himself flummoxed by the technological advances that the MiB have made in the years during his absence. Together again, Agents K and J are just as funny as they were the first time around, and the aliens are better than ever. The locker colony of miniature aliens that worship Agent K is my own personal favorite, though the swinging worm guys, who have their own stereotypic batchelor pad, give them a run for their money in the funny department. Terrific performances are given by the entire cast. Look for a lot of fast paced action, as well as funny, though sometimes sophomoric, repartee, a lot of sight gags, wonderful alien creatures courtesy of the magic of special effects, and cameo appearances by Peter Graves and Michael Jackson. If you are willing to sit back, kick off your shoes, and take the film at face value, you will, undoubtedly, enjoy MiB 2.

Review: I thought that the first "M.I.B" movie was ok, so I saw this one. This movie was just terrible! It was full of childish humor and a corny plot. I don't reccomend this to anyone. Don't waste your money.

Summary: A lot better than it seems
Review: many reviews said this movie is recycled, same thing, stale, etc. I see where they are coming from, but really this movie was alot better than people give it credit . Basic story--K comes back to help stop this alien bad girl from getting some light. the plot is actually a little deeper than i thought it would be, with findings in a video store about the old MIB and also the light is not what you might think it is. won't give it away funniest thing of this movie is of course the dog. moments such as the scene where the dog is sitting in J's car playing who let the dogs out, or when he is singing w/ his head out the window. just about every interactive moment with the dog on the screen is great this is a great summer flick. don't go looking for great acting, because that is not what this movie was made for. great action, funny moments make this a must-see for the summer

Summary: Just As Fun As The First
Review: It has been five years since we last saw the adventures of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as the men in black. Has it been worth the wait?. The answer is a definite 'yes'. Is it a new, fresh concept that has evolved from the original film?. No. In fact, it follows pretty much the same style as the first. As if the makers looked over the first film's blue prints and added this and that, but kept the overall shape of it. Does this matter in any way?. Not in the least. What we get here is a fun ride that knows it's a fun ride and doesn't pretend to be anything but just that. Why should we expect anything else?. Will returns as Agent J, who is now assigned to another partner(Played by the always watchable Patrick Warburton). After the first few minutes, this new partner is out of the picture and Will is left without a partner. In the meantime, an alien has landed on earth and has taken the form of a Victoria's Secret model(Played by Lara Flynn Boyle). This alien is looking for the light, which is just a flimsy plot idea that'll cause the complete destruction of earth or something rather. Does it really matter?. The whole idea of this and the details towards the end are sketchy and don't pan out. Oh well. The gorgeous Rosario Dawson("Josie And The Pussycats")plays Laura Vasquez, an eye witness to an encounter with Boyle. Will immediatley takes a liking to her and doesn't alter her mind with the zapper. Rip Torn is back and orders Will to go and recruit Agent K(Jones), whom he zapped at the end of the original. K is now head postal worker at a post office in Massachussettes. J comes to get him and it is a good scene. He brings K back and puts him thru a deneuralyzer to regain his memory. Slowly but surely, he does. The movie is a big cartoon. It does what it does and makes no apologies for it. It doesn't need too. Once again, the whole film lies on the on screen chemistry between Jones and Smith. Like in the first, the duo are perfect together. There is just something that works between them. It's nice seeing them together. The make-up for all of the monsters are fantastic. It's the work of make-up genius Rick Baker. Do we expect anything less than magnificent from him?. The effects are all quite good, but the make-up is better. The cast is good. Johnny Knoxville(who I am no fan of by any means)was actually funny. Lara Flynn is no Vincent D'Onofrio, but she does the best with what she is given. She is not bad at all. Tony Shalhoub returns from the original in a very good segment. Rosario Dawson is a find. She seems like a good actress, nice person, and she is beautiful. Comedian David Cross pops up in a funny cameo, as does Peter Graves. There is one other involving a certain Mr. J that I won't tell. Frank The Pug and the worm guys are hilarious. They should have their own movie. The movie runs fast and smooth. It clocks in at only 88 minutes or so, much shorter than the original, and it feels like it. It just takes off and keeps going, zipping by at a nice pace. In the end, "MIB II" is not gonna win an award at the Cannes Film Festival, or be entered in the Sundance Film Festival, but it is great fun. It is what it is and no one should expect anything more. It delivers. A "Men In Black 3" is very welcome.

Summary: Almost as good . . .
Review: but not quite. Will Smith is cool in the beginning and then suddenly treated like he's a rookie after "K" enters the picture--no fair! Will Smith IS cool. Tommy Lee Jones didn't seem as confident in this one, even though he's still cool too. Villain girl isn't gross enough like bug-man from the first one. Worms were great! Needed a few more alien's breaking the rules cases to spice it up a bit. Still love the concept of MIB--perhaps they can fix in MIBIII?

Summary: A very enjoyable movie
Review: O.k, so it is not as good as the oringinal "MIB," but it is a summer popcorn blockbuster that does not disappoint. Yes it is near copy of "Men in Black," but I would see it again. The movie is smart in its dumbness and enteraining in its action and Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones give hilarious performances that even an MIB know it all can get into. My advice, see it, you will blissfully in low i.q. land.
