Summary: A very good. long television episode
Review: Any star trek movie starts out with millions of prejudiced fans. We love anything star trek! Story:***** Cast ***** Special Effects **** Overall Impression **** Insurrection was entertaining and fun, however, there was nothing outstandingly new to "take your breath away". The only sequel in the ST lineage I did not repeat see at the theater. I will buy the video when it comes out for my collection but it may be a while before I view it again.

Summary: It's the best
Review: This movie was the best yet! I can't wait for the next one. The FX, storline, and everything else was great. All most as good as First Contact.

Summary: When you rely on "schtick" to keep going...
Review: ...it's time to take a hard look at the franchise. Probably the most irksome characterization was that of Worf who has since his inception undergone a journey of self discovery, fallen hero, resurrected man of honor and now a foil for acne jokes in "Insurrection." For the next movie -- Deep Space Nine anyone?

Summary: fun
Review: I am a big star trek fan, but not all of the movies were as fun as this. I liked the beginning the best because Data kicks butt. It had some of that classic trek flavor but with all the effects we have come to expect from the new series. I hope the next movie ties in the cool stuff thats been going on with DS9 the last few seasons.

Summary: A very good movie.
Review: This is a good movie with excellent sets and acting. I don't see how any could not like it.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: it lacks the gravity of the previous star trek movies
Review: The movie boasted superior special effects and sound in 5.1 dolby digital. I found that the story line was strong but poorly developed. I like Star Trek but at this rate I my not go and see another star trek movie at the theater.

Review: I don't know this film could have been a 5 star film but it missed something. The idea of starfleet in coherts with this new evil race was good, the effects were good, characters were good, but it missed a good ending. I agree with some of the other reviews it got; I am tired of the beam me off and ride into the sunset endings.

Summary: A good movie, but it could have been much better.
Review: Insurrection appears to suffer from the "curse" that seems to have been placed on all odd-numbered Star Trek movies. Insurrection is without a doubt an action/comedy movie, although there's noticably more comedy than there is action. The special effects were very well-done and, in my opinion, live up to the high effects standards set by First Contact. The comedy is surprisingly well-done too. The shuttle chase scene involving Data is hilarious! The planet setting is beautiful, and is very effective in conveying the overall mood for the story. So if you have great effects + good comedy + a beautiful planet setting, what do you get? You get what is probably the most lighthearted Star Trek movie thus far. If you're looking for action, you'll find it in Insurrection, but in small amounts. With little action and a fairly weak plot, Insurrection is the kind of movie to see once or maybe twice, but it definitely doesn't live up to its predecessor, First Contact. I would suggest buying it only for the DVD extras or if you just want to add it to your Star Trek collection.

Summary: Everything you could want...
Review: This movie has everything a good Trek movie should have... more jokes are cracked than the average Trek feature, and the effects are spectacular. We can only hope that ST:X lives up to it!
