Bruce Willis Stars as Corbin Dallas, a former Pilot turned Cabby fighting to save the earth from a evil force only known as "Mr. Shadow". Milla Jovovich is Leeloo, the perfect Being as one of the 5 Elements to stop this dark force. If you also liked any of Bruce Willis' Previous Action movies, this is a must see! I recommend it to any sci-fi or action film fan.

Review: Ancient curses, all-powerful monsters, shape-changing assassins, scantily-clad stewardesses, laser battles, huge explosions, a perfect woman, a malcontent hero--what more can you ask of a big-budget science fiction movie? Luc Besson's high-octane film incorporates presidents, rock stars, and cab drivers into its peculiar plot, traversing worlds and encountering some pretty wild aliens. This movie has Bruce Willis, Chris Tucker, and of coarse MILLA! This movie is one of the funniest sci-fi flicks of all time. It has good acting, good special effects, and it also has an original storyline and plot! This is a must see for everyone, the only thing I didn't understand is why are they using bullets in the 23rd century? Oh well, it has one flaw, but it is perfect! Buy it!

Summary: The Ultimate Journey of Love and Saving the Universe.
Review: A Epic movie of a dream that at least every one has wished for once. The perfect Girl/Guy. A great melting pot of action, love and good ole'fashion saving the world. This was the first film with Milla I fell apsalutley in love with her. (pardon my spelling) I saw this movie in theaters many times and have rented enough to buy a small lot of over priced land. The move revolves around the future yet still has that magic and unknown powers in the universe incased, in a wellacted and played film by all the cast and praductions. This movie moving in such a way to make you have that erge to go out and run and jump and play. This is a film that will inspire any one to persue there creative side, Art, Music, Acting, Writing. This will inspire any one to create and indulge the unknown parts of there imagination. The film style used creats another world to whats going on. The enviroments of the city and buildings are a Artistic design and monderisim aproach due to the future "Element" of the film. The scoring is of the films soundtrack is a motion of moods, a devine matter of raising the emotions of the world around our charecters. All in all if you like Scifi/a little of fantasy in the melting pot of adventure. Watch this movie, I hope you will atleast like it or even as much as I do, to just ramble on and on about this.

Summary: Completely underrated
Review: So imaginative and fun! Never boring--original designer clothing! This movie was totally overlooked. Although I must admit, the ending was slightly anti-climactic. Granted, this movie is not Casablanca but still a lot of fun and never disappointing.Totally recommend!

Summary: Good Movie
Review: This is a good movie. If you break it up into segments, the movie seems somewhat strange, but when it's over and you perceive it as a whole, you will enjoy the experience. I for one can proudly admit to accepting it among my collection. One thing I must note is Chris Tucker's role in this film. It is one you will probably never see him fill again. I for one will always remember him as 'Smokey' from Friday, so i can't help but chuckle each time I see his character in this sci-fi flick. I give it four stars.

Review: this was one funny movie. i love the effects and the way the movie was made. chris tucker is a mess. hes one funny character. i love all his movies. i dont think if he dont joke around then his movies wont ne funny. i love this movie and i think everybody should go and see it. its the greatest movie ever.

Summary: Excellent film!
Review: This was dubbed the Star Wars for the 90's and it fell short there. But this movie has excellent special effects, great action, and some nice comic moments. The story was very good and very well thought out. The special effects dazzle the mind with the way the city looked, the vehicles, and the weapons. About the only thing that annoyed me was Chris Tuckers character. I just could not stand listening to his annoying high pitched voice and continual wining. He wasn't always annoying, just 90% of the time. Other than that, the movie maintains a pretty fast pace with some awesome battles. A highly recommended movie.

Summary: Buy the Superbit version!
Review: First, I owned the original non-Superbit version and watched it on my 35" non-HDTV. I thought it was an excellent film with a little bit of something in there for everyone: action, adventure, romance, comedy. To this day, even after having watched it at least 50 times, the roach scene still makes me laugh. The acting was excellent, too. Every one of the actors played their parts with character. Nobody overacted or got melodramatic, something I absolutely hate. They all stood out, they all made you feel something different, but they didn't overdo it. Gary Oldman, Ian Holm (and his apprentice), Milla Jovovich, they were all excellent. Bruce Willis, surprisingly, didn't overplay his tough-guy act, no doubt because Luc Besson held him on a leash the entire time. I see alot of complaints about Chris Rock's part, but I just took his bit for what it was: a talk show / variety host that has evolved over 300+ years to doing whatever is necessary to get ratings, which in this case means acting like a complete fool. Later, I came to own a 73" HDTV, still using the non-Superbit version. My main gripe, not with this DVD but with my DVD collection in general - on a TV that size and with that detail, is that the mpeg compression artifacts suddenly start to become very obvious. They're fairly invisible on the 35" but are distractingly obvious now. The edges of colors tend to "bleed" into one another sometimes, too. Finally, I watch the the Superbit version of Fifth Element. No more mpeg artifacts. Everything about this DVD looks better. I was expecting an improvement, but nothing like this. The whisps of steam coming from the ship in the opening scene, the off-in-the-distance detail of the chase scene in the city with the sparks coming off of Korben's taxi, the detail of the explosions on the cruise ship, etc etc etc. No mpeg artifacts at all there, artifacts that were clearly visible on the non-Superbit version. There are, of course, no extras, but with a picture like this I don't care. I only wish every DVD could look this good. Sadly, it will probably be some time before they do since a) the detail of a Superbit version might be harder to see on a smaller TV which leads to b) instead a more detailed picture, most people want extras instead, so that's what the studios give them.

Review: I really liked this movie. The futuristic special effects were to the max and really good! The story wasn't bad either. The opera singer was great too. Totally loved Bruce Willis. This was the bomb! You need to buy this. Milla was excellent.

Summary: Sci-fi adventure is grand entertainment
Review: If you judge 'The Fifth Element' by its plot, it does not measure up to other sci-fi classics. It's child-like and absurd, though one could argue that this is part of what makes it so disarming and wondrous. The components that really make it stand out are the glorious sets designs, the spectacular scenes, and the acting. [The performances may not be Oscar-worthy, but they are energetic and slyly amusing.] This is a grand visual treat, and, for once, all the vast amounts of money spent on a movie are truly 'up there on the screen'. I have seen 'The Fifth Element' four or five times, and each viewing brings a new appreciation of just how much thought and effort went into this production. The film starts with a standard sci-fi movie prolog. A team of German archeologists is in Egypt [not again!] uncovering some very odd things. The date is 1914, just before World War I. They have found some sort of shrine to the four elements plus a mysterious fifth element. Suddenly, their work is interrupted by large, strange aliens who announce that they are there to take the stones representing the four elements before war comes. They promise to return them before another force, which is bent on destroying all life in the universe, can do its work. Suddenly the movie switches, not to present day as expected, but to 300 years into the future. The time for the battle between good and evil has arrived. We meet a succession of eccentric, delightful characters. There is Leelou [Milla Jovovich], who is the fifth element ' a beautiful, powerful being who represents the life force. She alone can defeat the forces of death. Korbin Dallas [Bruce Willis] is an ex-army office turned taxi driver. He is unwillingly drawn into the fray and sticks around mainly because of his fascination with Leeloo. We have a ditzy, befuddled priest named Vito Cornelius [Ian Holm] who belongs to an order which has served the forces that protect life for centuries. His assistant is an equally strange young man called Billy [Luke Perry. Finally, we meet Ruby Rhod [Chris Tucker in a role he was born to play], a transsexual TV star who has to be seen to be believed. Together, this unlikely group bands together to fight for all life as we know it. [The human villain is Zorg, played in high camp style by the amazing Gary Oldham.] Besides the movie's already mentioned assets, the thing I love about 'The Fifth Element' is its refusal to take itself seriously. To me, this makes it far more entertaining than the last two Star Wars films; in fact, it owes more to Daffy Duck than to Darth Vader. It never expects us to believe the story. It merely tells a very tall tale very well. The movie was directed by Luc Bresson, who made two of my other favorites ' 'La Femme Nikita' and 'Leon'. 'The Fifth Element', however, belongs in a completely different category, though all three movies have dazzling cinematography by Thierry Arbogast and pulsating music by Eric Serra.
