Summary: A major disappointment
Review: I had read a while back this film had been conceived while the director was a high school student, and frankly, it shows. The film starts out promising enough--the futuristic cityscape, changeling aliens, flying automobiles, and ostentatious cyber-fashions were a mesmerizing vision; however, this visual banquet quickly turns into so many empty calories after the first half-hour of the film. The rest is formulaic: a jaded elite military commando is recruited for a shoot-'em-up mission to save the world from a vague menacing entity which is never fully explained. He is paired up with a beautiful humanoid "secret-weapon" in scanty clothing who fights her battles with an unconvincing flurry of kicks and punches that never seem to connect with their recipients. In the end, this seems less like a serious sci-fi vision and more like a half-realized juvenile fantasy.

Summary: Fifth Element
Review: This movie was a masterpiece, it's stunning visually and also audio wise. When the digital sound is on it's absolutely awesome, the plot is original and very entertaining, while I did not like the movie the first time I saw it the second time something snapped and I realised I wanted this film so I got it... on vhs, laserdisc, DVD and got the soundtrack and the game. I love this film, if you haven't seen it see it. If you don't like it the first time, watch it again.

Summary: An excellent way to show off a home theater system
Review: The audio and video quality of this DVD is second to none. Dolby Surround is used very effectively, immersing the viewer in the movie. Image quality for both widescreen and normal aspect ratios is extremely good, with the slightest details being easily visible. Milla Jovovich's fiery orange hair is incredibly intense, especially if you have composite video output to your TV!

Summary: Superb fun-
Review: I LOVED this movie & it has become a family favorite. The critics really missed the boat. It has a wonderful sense of humor (you'll love the whining mother, the inept terrorizing neighbor, the priest worrying about what to wear when the supreme being shows up, & Chris Tucker over the top). There are incredible special effects scenes (the taxi cab chase is classic) unbelievable editing (watch the shuttle lift-off scene with that in mind). The soundtrack is filled with unusual - but perfect- music. Plus there's some good basic shoot 'em up action scenes and Bruce helps to save the world. It's one that gets better with every viewing - You'll want your own 'Lilu Dallas Multi-pass' for repeat viewing!

Summary: Honestly, people, it is not that bad...
Review: Okay, I suppose I have the tendency to like movies that everyone I know seems to hate, ie. Wing Commander (awesome movie, by the way). But the Fifth Element is pretty cool. It's bright, colorful, kind of silly and, yeah, fun! And that's what counts, is it not? It's no Oscar-caliber movie, but nobody ever said it was. It's meant to entertain, and that is exactly what it does.

Summary: I love Bruce Willis and I love this film! It's the best!
Review: I just love this movie. Before I saw or even heard of this movie, I thought that a Sci-fi movie starring Bruce Willis won't get very interesting, but then I saw this film at school, and I loved it immediately! Chris Tucker is so funny and he's just so annimated. It is just so good and funny. I suggest that whoever likes sci-fi and action movies, you have to see this movie, you won't regret it and it will definately be worth it. I actually love this movie so much that I went and hired the video as well as bought the DVD! I love this movie and I always will. It's my favourite and it always will be!

Summary: This movie is great to watch over and over like Star Treck:2
Review: I love watching this movie, it doesn't get old. The comedy is timeless using images like(funky radio show hosts and nagging mothers )and the thrills are always excelent( cop chase scences, karate). The movie makes me laugh and makes me think. Try it if you like Star Trek:2 the Wrath of Khan or The Mummy. It's a movie to see more than once.

Summary: Entertaining but far fetched science fiction
Review: I enjoyed The Fifth Element and recommend it. The DVD of this movie is stunning both visually and audibly -- I frequently use it to show off my DVD/large-screen TV system. The first 2/3 of this movie is good and very entertaining. The last 1/3 (aboard the cruise ship) is silly and boring.

Summary: Haven't bought it yet...
Review: >I want to know who sang the song for Diva toward the end of the video in Fifth Element? An the name of the song?

I believe the title of the song was Lucia Di Lammermoor and was performed by Inva Mulla Tchako.
