Summary: Cure for insomnia, rent or buy Signs, you'll soon be snoring
Review: Mel Gibson, the magic word, it must be an entertaining film, he always gives value for money, not this time.
We have a field with corn circles, a farmers house, and a few extra scenes to pad the time out. The farmers's house of course has a basement, and the living quarters are decorated like a funeral parlor and there is an awful lot of talking and no action.
OK for home entertainment where the fridge is close by and a nice broken-in sofa.
Thoroughly disappointing, waste of gas money, waste of ticket money, and a thorough waste of time.

Summary: Startler
Review: This is a scary movie with authentic scares, some surprises, some cheap thrills, and a sense of humor. It has good acting even though it is a simple plot, but that's okay. Far better than The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. Let me rephrase that, it is scarier than those two, but those two had a better plot and story. Oh well, this is a great movie to buy or rent. See it!

Summary: I loved it! We loved it!
Review: We LOVED this film, like another reviewer said- It's rare to have the whole theatre scream and startle all at the same time.To me, there is something to be said about the quality of a filmmaker to make you laugh uproariously in one scene and not a split second later screaming out loud. And I DO mean scream...LOUDLY! And the Director managed to do this time and time again in this film.I usually never make a sound in theatres. Not this time. I love the screenwriting, especially Joaquin Phoenix's character. I will be one of the first in line for the DVD, it is priceless to me! Bravo again, Mr. Shyamalan!

Summary: It doesn 't deliver
Review: I used to depend on Roger Ebert for a sensible review. He loved
this movie. Since his partner died (Siskel), his tastes seemed tochange as far as I am concerned. I disagree with almost every one of his reviews now.

This movie had great promise, and really got me going for the the first 45 minutes. After that, it wasn't either as scary as I thought it would be, and sort of peetered out at the end.

If plain ordinary water was the ultimate weapon against these creatures, then why weren't they in pain in the wet dewy fields of corn and grass? Especially at night and early morning...

Summary: Signs of Another Time
Review: M. Night Shyamalan has created a piece of pure fun. With its perfectly-timed humor to sharpen the edges of tension, Signs delivers suspense reminicent of Hitchcock, jump-out-of-your-seat surprises, laughter--and even a camio, while telling a timeless story at that wonderful, Shyamalan pace.
For those whith queasy constitutions, the film avoids the visual gore of today's thrillers and relies more on the premise that suspense is created with humor, implication and impeccable timing.

Summary: Signs-A New Type of Sci-Fi
Review: Signs, written, produced and directed by M. Night Shamayalan was good. Shamayalan sticks with the same type of suspense and despondency, like in his other successful films, The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. I for one enjoyed this film very much, it starred Mel Gibson, a great actor as well as Juanquin Phoenix. Signs, debuted well at the box-office taking in an impressive 60.3 million. The film featured nice scenery and some startling and memorable and even humorous performances from Mel Gibson and Juaquin Phoenix.
Mel Gibson stars as Graham Hess, he lives on a farm with his brother and two children. HIs brother is played by entertaining, Juaquin Phoenix. They live in Pennsylvania, and have discovered something very shocking and bizarre. Huge 500 foot crop circles are appearing in the fields surrounding their house. They wonder of course why and how? From here the story develops into a sci-fi/horror film and so the plot thickens, perhaps into an eternal hell for the family. The family learns of new around the world, and how what is happening to them, is happening to many others around the world. The film from here becomes terrifying, petrifying and gloomy. It seems as if hell has been unleashed into their own house.
Signs is rated PG-13 for Some Frightening Momemts. After I saw the movie, that seem to be incorrect and inaccurate as well as misleading. The film seemed to feature quite a few frightening momemts, anyway why I should I argue. M. Night Shamayalan iz a very talented director, and has created another magnificent masterpiece. This film is scary without being gory, grueome, horrific or brutal. Signs was definetly worth seeing, I liked it. The film also featured a nice script, yet not have mich sophistication, but yet still being interesting and not insipid, apathetic or banal...

Summary: An in-depth character study well done!
Review: Based on the theatrical previews, I was expecting more of a crop circle drama. Instead, I received something better. This is a great, thought-provoking movie. It is not for the weak-minded or the viewer just out for a fun flick to watch. Entertainment is great, but sometimes it is nice to have a challenge or two such as Signs. This movie questions the existence and relationship with a 'higher power' without being new-agie or overtly religious-specific. Gibson and the rest of the cast did a wonderful job of mystery, fear, faith, humor, and just plain acting. The director should be proud of doing such a good job with his limited film budget, awesome artistic cinematography, and production of Signs.

Summary: Scary
Review: Yes this movie had a weak plot and simple story, but that doesn't mean it's bad as some people like to think. That just makes it easy to follow, and this films scares... you!...
