Summary: Who said Klowns were nice?
Review: This movie is really great. Clowns that kill you with popcorn guns, cotton candy caccoons. What else do you need? It starts out where the clowns land on earth in a giant circus tent then some farmer finds the tent and the clowns go on a human killing spree. It's rather interesting and if you ever have time to see this movie it's well worth it. A very innovative film and you won't be disappointing. It features all types of great clowns too short ones, fat ones, skinny ones, tall ones, male and female clowns everything. It's mad circus fun. Bottom line you can't miss this one.

Summary: Great DVD! Unfortunately, no Dickies Video :(
Review: This DVD is excellent. My only complaints are as follows:
1. The audio on the theme song seems to drop out a little during the title sequence, but I'm sure this is due to the age of the print used.
2. No Dickies Video! My original Media VHS had the Dickies Video at the end of the tape.
Other than these two small problems, I don't see how any fan could be disappointed in this DVD. Picture quality is great, and the deleted scenes, commentary, and bloopers all add up to an evening of Killer Fun!!!
Buy this now! You will NOT regret it!!!

Review: This dvd is great for fans of the movie. Its got tons of features and is an overall great deal. The one thing that made me wonder was that mine didnt come with an insert on the inside of the dvd case but aside from that its worth every penny.

Summary: In Space No One Can Eat Ice Cream!
Review: The film's tagline sums it up, campy and fun Horror. I'm not a huge fan of campy or comedic Horror, but there are some rare exceptions that I enjoy immensely. Killer Klowns is one of these exceptions, and the film has just grown on me a lot over the years of viewings. The first time I saw it was when I was about 13, and I thought it was the most bizarre and fun Horror movie I had seen to date, and I still feel the same way. Not only is the film campy fun, it has some really great make-up effects. The klowns are superb, they look great. There is just something about clowns that can be eerie, and these klowns bring that eerie feeling out to an extreme. Up to this point there has only been the original VHS video of the film, and more recently a reproduction videocassette. As with the majority of VHS films the movie is shown in the 4:3 aspect ratio, cutting off a lot of the films original frames. With this wonderfully done new DVD you can see the film as it was shot in widescreen, and of course the audio is substantially better as well. The DVD also contains a plethora of supplemental material, from director commentary to behind-the-scenes footage. For fans of the film this is a can't miss opportunity to own the ultimate presentation of this film. For those that haven't seen the film, this is a great way to watch it for the first time.

Summary: Killer Klowns is the best movie with the best music video jk
Review: Killer Klowns struck me by its lost innocence, the way those clowns looked in their suits, it was a very nice outfit. They really made me get lost in their stupid plot, I was conused, yet I Wanted to see more. I watched this movie time and time again when I was little, I thought I would never see it again until I delibrately stumbled upon this place. I never thought my dream would be fulfilled of finding this movie, and I felt my heart sink I had found it, but the music video was not displayed on the dvd. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to sit out another long day and wait for another long night. I don't know what I'm talking about, all I know is this movie is pretty bad, I mean seriously don't watch it or you'll laugh bad. But, still I find myself drawn to it b/c I loved it so much when I was younger, so I give it 5 stars for it's sentimental purpose, and the way it holds on to you.

Summary: Very clever and funny sci-fi movie!!!
Review: I would guess that most sci-fi movie lovers would think this is one of those movies that were turned out by the dozens in the 70's. Cheap lousy movies with lousy actors that seemed to have a budget of maybe $50. This is NOT one of those movies. It's truly a classic piece of work that has clever use of the whole clown genre. With cotton candy, magic tricks and carnival atmosphere the clowns use everything they can to get their victims.

I really enjoyed this movie.

Summary: Learn to read...
Review: Don't be put off by the incorrect reviewer claiming this DVD will be pan-and-scan fullscreen. It will not. The product description confirms this. If you actually read it, it does say "Widescreen".

According to the press releases from MGM, the DVD will be a full Special Edition and presented in anamorphic widescreen (16:9 enhanced) in the 1.85:1 theatrical aspect ratio.

Additional features on the DVD: deleted scenes, a storyboard gallery, a photo gallery, the original theatrical trailer, a "making-of" documentary (supposedly with "home-movie" footage), director's commentary by the Chiodo Brothers, behind-the-scenes material on composing the film's score, a visual effects commentary, a "director's reflection on the film", English/French/Spanish Mono Audio (it was mono in the theaters), and French/Spanish subtitles.

Maybe the VHS is 1.33:1 full frame. I don't know because I don't buy VHS any more. Regardless, the DVD should be quite nice for fans of the film.

The fullscreen version is probably just unmatted anyway (not really P&S). Wait for the disc to compare.

Summary: PAN-N-SCAN defect
Review: The wonderful joy that is created by the DVD release of this movie is ruined by the fact that this is currently a fullscreen-only version of this movie. No letterbox - pretty much ruins it in my book.

I give the movie 5 stars for being so great.

I give this DVD 1 star for being a lame, fullscreen-only release.

Please say you found this review helpful if you wished there was a letterbox version! Maybe it'll get noticed and fixed before they actually release it.

Summary: People are afraid of clowns...now we know why
Review: With this film, the Chiodo brothers (in answer to your question, "key-oh-doh") created a sci-fi horror picture that is legendary even today. A perfect example of how easy it is to take something cute and beloved, tilt it just a little off center and make it horrifying.

The idea is simple - aliens that look like clowns land on earth and wreak havoc. Their ship looks like a big top (in more ways than one - it looks like a child's toy, screws itself deep into the earth, and what's left above ground looks like a circus tent) and the Plutonian Punchinellos make their way around town raising cain with living balloon animals, shadow puppets that do a Jurasssic Park on bystanders, and evil twisted takes on every prop and gag connected with clowns.

Paying tribute to many classic b-picture cliches but being directly derivative of none, the film is a delight from start to finish. The Chiodo's makeup work is unique and well done on a small budget, and the designs are truly memorable. Many people have Killer Klown tattoos, not knowing where the characters came from. The sets of the alien ship are like what Forbidden Planet designed by Dr Seuss would have looked like.

Creepiest scene in the film - the clowns collect the cotton-candy cocoons they've created with a massive parade float, with dark carnival music playing in the background.

One of a short list of films that my sister STILL can't watch.

As if the film wasn't cool enough, add in the title song by The Dickies, the "Hardest working cover band in the business" and you've got a package that's an e-ticket for sure.
