Summary: Review for Fatal Fury : The Motion Picture
Review: This movie ROCKS! I saw it on sci-fi and i just HAD to buy it. The plot is well written and if you pay attention it isn't confusing at all. The characters are also well "played" out. This movie stays in your head it will just blow you away. The animation in it is wonderful. It's clear precise and shows the characters emotions well. If you like anime or are just starting to develop an intrest then you should really get this it's awsome it really is. There is lots of fighting but nothing really bloody and horible. The movie itself is WONDERFUL i can't say anything else i am just blown away. you could watch it again and again. (and believe me i have) if you like this movie you should also look Armitage and if they have it on this site E.Y.E.S. of Mars it's wicked cool. all in all i gave this movie five stars because it kicks mayjor butt. it's simply amazing.

Summary: Fatal Fury-Motion Picture VHS
Review: This movie was very exciting! It really had something for all anime lovers I found. It had a lot of fighting, but it had a touch of romance to it at the same time. The plot was yet another anime plot where you stop and think, "How in the world did they come up with something like that?" because the plot was very original. I liked this movie very much. It wasn't one of the best but I'm a person who likes almost every anime she watches. :)

Summary: good martial arts action
Review: After beating Geese and Krauser, Terry Bogard is now up against Laocorn Gaudemus, a power-hungry individual who will attain the power of a god if he collects all six pieces of the Armor of Mars scattered all over the world. Laocorn's twin sister, Sulia, asks Terry, Joe, Mai, and Andy for help in her quest to regain the sanity of her brother, and to find the three pieces that Laocorn has not yet found. Terry and friends have to not only find the pieces and defeat Laocorn, but fight Laocorn's three henchmen, who are also after the pieces. A romance between Terry and Sulia unfolds, similar to that with Lily in the first tape, and Andy once again proves that he's not a straight male by shunning the relentless Mai away countless times. Speaking of Mai, there're plenty of chest-bouncing and pop-outs in the feature. The soundtrack is fine, and although orchestrated this time, is not as good as those of the past two tapes. The ending theme, on the other hand, is awesome, no matter if it is the English or Japanese version.

A flaw that scars the story is that the translation, both in the dubbed and subtitled versions, is not entirely accurate, though the basis of the story is intact. Another flaw is that some of the fight scenes toward the end are pretty disappointing, seeing as how strong some of the enemies are and how easily they ended up being defeated. The scene access option in the DVD version is strangely lacking, but there's a nice conceptual drawings section and character info. Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture surpasses Samurai Shodown, Street Fighter, Toshinden, and Tekken in the arena for best fighting game anime.

Summary: Stylish and well directed film
Review: Stylish martial arts anime directed by acclaimed director Masami Obari and based on the best-selling video game. A group of martial artists are recruited by a young girl to find her lost brother who is attempting to uncover a mystical set of armor. Appealing characters, brilliant design and amazing fight choreography add up to what a good movie should be: tons of fun. Dig that keen musical score.

Summary: It IS the strongest. And the most beautiful.
Review: Anime and fighting video games is usually a bad mix. ('The Art of Fighting' is all the proof you need.) Once in a great while, though, an absolute gem is crafted from putting the two together, and this, to me, is the shiniest of them all. "Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture" is hands-down the best anime based on a fighting game ever made, even surpassing the awesome "Street Fighter II". Why is it so great? Let me count the ways...first off, the plot and story are both fantastic, not to mention completely original. The "good guys" from the Fatal Fury series unite to stop a young man who is trying to gather the legendary "Armor of Mars" and achieve godhood. The kicker is, the young man's own sister is the one who unites the four heroes. What makes the story so great, though, is just how the characters interact with each other in trotting the globe to beat the would-be god and his henchmen to each piece of the armor. It adds a lot of depth to an already great movie. The animation is top-notch; fluid and very smooth. The fight scenes are incredible, and the "special techniques" are wonderfully reproduced on the small screen. Almost every fighter from the games appears in the film, and each has a place in the story; they're not just "thrown in" for the sake of appearances. The character designs are awesome, of course; what else would you expect from the legendary Masami Obari? The backgrounds, the orchestral soundtrack, Joe Higashi's cheesy one-liners...I could go on all day! Everything about this anime makes it a must-buy for any anime fan's collection. Fatal Fury fans will eat this one alive if they haven't already, as well as anyone who's craving a well-done action flick with a great story to boot. This is a true anime classic!

Summary: Sweet
Review: I've seen this movie many times before, both on Chinese subbed 3-4th generation VHS and Chinese subbed LD (but cut, bleh). This is the DVD I've looked for and finally got my hands on. Dunno why I didn't get this earlier?

Well, most reviewrs have the plot posted, so I won't do that. The plot is cool, better than any of the OAVs, I thought. Sulia is one hot babe, and I throuoghly enjoyed it. Following is specs that any anime fan/collector appreciate:

Yes, it's subbed. English and Japanese audio track. Picture quality is good, if not great. Nothing cut in here. Hehe. Audio is cool, and the Japanese audio track sounds better (Digital Dolby 4.0 vs 2.0(stereo) for Eng track). A bit of extras (eg. both Eng and Japanese original Trailers, conceptual pics, background etc) but I bought this for the movie. All is exactly what an avid anime fan/otaku (like me) looks for in an anime DVD, and other than the slightly ugly subtitling (which you will get used to), I'm VERY very satisfied. Collectible, period.

Summary: Fantastic Animation!! This is One Two Punch!!
Review: First of all, I'm not sure why "Fatal Fury One Two Punch" has all the customer reviews of the "Fatal Fury the motion picture". "One Two Punch" is the japanese subtitled version of the first two movies, whereas Fatal Fury the motion picture is the third movie. This will be on "One Two Punch"(subtitled Japanese). I love the characters in this movie!! They're very cool, but I don't think I need to describe them. As for the voices, Joe and Andy's voices sound very similar to their English counterparts. Mai's Japanese voice is light years ahead of her English one. The English voice sounds a lot like Jubilee from X-men on "Fatal Fury the new battle." Thank you Mark Hildreth who voiced Terry Bogard in English. You are much better than your monotone Japanese counterpart and I love the way he says "Poweeaahhhrr GEYSER!!" The music is fantastic and upbeat, just how I like it. I just wish I could get a copy of the cd. And finally, the best thing is the animation. It's simply superb. The attacks are flashy and bright, the characters are extremely detailed(an example is the armor on Krauser), the fight scenes are very cool. Sadly, the series suffers from lack of plot, movie one is about Terry fighting Geese, movie two is about Terry fighting Krauser(hah that's about all the plot I can tell you about!), but I give it 4 stars anyway because the pros highly outweigh the cons.

Summary: A game-based martial arts anime that is actually enjoyable!!
Review: If you were dissapointed by the recent video games animes that sucked (Tekken, Street Fighter, etc.), there is still hope!! This film is the sequel to the OVA's and is a very enjoyable film. In the story Terry and Andy Bogard along with Joe Higashi and Mai Shiranui must stop the ancestor of an evil king who is tring to collect pieces of a suit of armor that will make him a god. The movie has few flaws. The characters are good, the fight scenes are smooth, and although I prefer the subtitled version, the English dub is not that bad. If you are ripping the hair out of your head because all the game-based animes you saw sucked, look no further!!

Summary: Sight over Substance
Review: To begin with, this is not a "serious" movie. It does not have an engrossing plot. There really isn't any significant emotional drama. Whatever drama that is here is over the top. Where this movie really shines is the animation. If you like good action with incredible quality animation, then serisously consider buying this DVD. There are plenty of fight scenes, and the eye-candy in the climax will astound.
