Summary: Gets Boring After A While
Review: I actually would have given this movie two and a half stars. It gets kind of boring after a while. But the movie is still funny. The effects are really improved too.

I liked this movie a lot when I first saw it, but I kind of get bored of it now. As mentioned above.

This movie is still worth renting for anybody that hasn't seen it yet.

Summary: MIB! An excellent DVD!
Review: I have to say, I loved MIB and I thought it couldn't get any better, but this DVD proved me WRONG! IT KICKED BUTT! It had Everything a MIB fan could hope for. How they made it, edited scenes, commentaries and oodles of goodies. I loved how they had the MIB warning in place of the FBI one as soon as I popped the disc into the player! THIS IS AN EXCELLENT FILM AND DVD! I highly recommend it to any Sci Fi, Comedy, Action or Tommy Lee Jones-Will Smith-Linda Fiorentino fan out there!

Summary: Terrifically Enjoyable Comic Book Flick
Review: I caught Men in Black when it first came out in theatres, and I've just seen it again and been delighted. It loses little if anything in its translation to the small screen. I'm not a great fan of Hollywood's mining of comic books for storylines, but Men in Black (along with the original Batman movie, X-Men, and Mystery Men) shows how well it can work at its best. The aliens are wonderfully bizarre and diverse--although many of them retain muppetoid characteristics this seems entirely in keeping with the tone of the film. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones manage not to be stood up by the creature effects; Vincent D'Onofrio revels in portraying the evil alien wearing an "Edgar suit". But best of all, the writing is terrific--the plot is twisted enough to keep you going most of the way, and the comic dialogue is superior. My only quibble is that I could have done without Smith's rap for the closing credits, which lacked his characteristic charm and unsuccessfully tried to make up for that lack with unrelenting monotony as all too many raps do. Otherwise, highly recommended. Rumor has it that a sequel is in the works with both Smith and Jones for a 2002 release. Let's hope that all involved maintain the same high standards.

Summary: A little clarification
Review: Just a little clarification on my review below. When I used the term "alien langauge" I was referring to the profanity. While the movie is NOT laced with it, in the few prominent spots where the B___S____ word was used, my youngest son echoed B____S____! and I heard my wife in another room yell "WHAT?!!!" Don't get me wrong, I think it's a cool movie. But parents should use discretion with younger children. The four star rating I gave it was not based on the language however. It was based on how much I liked it as a whole.

Summary: Exciting and original.
Review: As much as i loved " ID4" and " 5th Element", i loved this one too. It's about two men who dress in black and must destroy a evil alien who is about to destroy the human race, Funny and amazing at the same time. this is a must own DVD.

Summary: Not sure...
Review: Ok the story as an absolute story is not bad, actually it's somehow interesting. The animation is perfect and well done too. I think this is the best film ever for Will Smith! Oh yes, and you may accept this movie as a light commedy.

One of the main downfalls of this movie was that the Science Fiction side of the film was badly affected when the story got framed into commedy! In other words, the suspense was dead!

Some of you are comparing this movie with Star Wars or Aliens... I think this is not right! Nor Star Wars or Aliens was a commedy! Instead the suspense was very genuine and the movie turned out to be very powerful Science Fictions!

Anyway, this movie maybe worth seeing once or twice... but I do not recommend buying it unless you are a big fan of Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones!

Summary: Making Fun of X-Files.
Review: This movie from director Barry Sonnenfeld, makes fun of the X-Files genre, and adds the performances of Tommey Lee Jones and Will Smith who live in a wacky world of looney extra-tressitrials, and goverment agencies which are run by people with no brains. (if only that part could remain science fiction.)

Summary: not just a kids movie
Review: a lot of people feel that this is just a kids movie, while it is a good movie for kids that is not true. I found this movie entertaining and wildly imaginative. I will never forget the ending w/ the galx marbles, it was very good. This really was more then a summer blockbuster (I can't say that for a lot of other will smith films)

Summary: To: Rockisgoodfood
Review: Sorry this is not a review but some info for Rockisgoodfood. You said Columbia Tristar should release a 2:53.1 version of this movie. My question is this.. why would you want to do that? This film is presented in its OAR (original aspect ratio) which is 1:85.1 shot on 35mm film. If columbia Tristar was to make a 2:35.1 aspect ratio of this movie... it would literally have to be cropped and cut. Why would you want that? This dvd is 1:85.1 anamorphic widescreen. You cant get anymore than that without destroying the film. If this film was made 2:35.1 it would probably have the actors heads chopped off and things like that.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Don't call this "widescreen"
Review: Earth calling Columbia Tri-Star, have you ever heard of 2.35:1 widescreen anamorphic? It's a sham that Columbia would push this 1.85:1 version. That must be why it's a "Limited Edition". C'mon Columbia Tri-Star, give us the 2.35:1 version. For those of you who like the "small screen", this is your movie. Sorry but I like to see everything the director intended me to see.
