Summary: Discworld Comes To life
Review: When i first looked at the discworld books i thought that science fiction was dumb and only for people who still lived with their mothers. Since then I have bought everything that Pratchett has written and have since moved back home. I love the books and I was very happy too see them come to life. I think although the animation wasnt disney quality, it got the job done and admirably. An overall good representation of what the Discworld is and since the librarian and CMOT Dibbler made an appearence it gets 5 stars

Summary: Just How I Saw It In My Head
Review: Wyrd Sisters was an excellent book and an even better movie. Not only did they capture the feeling of the Discworld, but the characters acted just like I imagined they would. It was good putting voices to the words.

Summary: Well Worth Buying for a TRUE Pratchett Fan!
Review: Yes, Magrat's voice is annoying. Yes, the animation is not Disney-quality. In my opinion, Nanny Ogg was tremendously mis-drawn. But, hey! This is the Discworld! Granny was well-done and Death was PERFECTION. I'd love to see another Pratchett that features Death more extensively! One of my favorite bits of dialogue is the scene with the demon in the washhouse - we were all rolling the floor laughing! :) For all those kvetchers out there, GET OVER YOUR EXPECTATIONS AND APPRECIATE THE FILM FOR WHAT IT IS! No film could ever capture that which is truly Pratchett, but this does a darn good job! BTW, my DVD did not have the glitch mentioned by others.

Summary: Beyond brilliant!
Review: Yes, the animation was clunky in spots, but the transitions were very cool. And anyway, the story doesn't NEED to be carried by slick animation techniques -- the voice casting was right on the money, the script tight and funny, the performances memorable. I've watched it again and again and I love it. Funny though, how, even before I saw this, I gave the witches West Country accents in my head and when I read aloud, and bless me if they don't have West Country accents here too! ;)

Can't wait for more!
