Rating: Summary: Where the heck is the action scenes? Review: I watched this movie on the cinema and then I bought it on DVD. The first thing I wanted to see again on the DVD was the shootout when he hides behind the walls in a building and he spins in the air and shoots the enemys at the same time. But, where can I find the scene?which time on the counter? I havn't found it yet.
Rating: Summary: REALITY BITES. Review: Sheesh, where do i begin? The Matrix is a statement on a very paranoid soceity we live in today. With all the poisoned minds out there clutching and clinging onto worn threads of a forgotton reality, The matrix is their salvation. I have heard fanatics of this film calling it their "religion", I guess referring to the concepts and symols used in the film. Sci-fi is one thing in a realm all it's own, another time and place. The Matrix is not sci-fi to me. It is paraniod delusion bordering on insanity. I feel sorry for people who are obsessed with this film. I think they need a great BIG HUG. I'm sorry, but the matrix is a fictional account of one man's vision of how he perceives reality. We are living in a black and white world where no supernatural events have ever taken place and never will. What you see is all you get. The only thing going on in life is life itself and that's it!! There is no big brother watching, there is no alternate universe. The Matrix is not real. It's okay, everything will be all right. The Matrix is a great visual spectacle but that's about it. The plot is far too complicated to follow and be entertained by. The acting? Acting shmacting. What is all the fuss about here? One extra star was added upon hearing Keenu say "whoa" again.
Rating: Summary: mind-boggling/mind-blowing plot & special effects- THE ONE! Review: Truly a sci-fi CLASSIC that made the 90's richer in terms of what it means to the internet generation. It unravels a plot that caters to the virtual illusions of cyberspace and the unreality of a real world "as we know it". Lets all TAKE THE RED PILL and indulge ourselves, again and again, in this ONCE IN A LIFETIME escapist ride
Rating: Summary: SI-FI To the max. Review: I could watch this movie a million times and never get bored of it
Rating: Summary: simply the best movie i have ever seen! Review: The Matrix is unlike any other movie i have ever seen, and the best. I dug the kung-fu stuff and the techno music too. The strange storyline really got me thinking!
Rating: Summary: This is one of the best movies I have ever seen!!! Review: When I rented this movie it looked like a Star Wars type of movie I was wrong. It had the visual effects but ten times better. It had the coolest plot it might sound like a nerd movie but is defently not.
Rating: Summary: Simply Awesome Review: A change for once. Spotted two mistakes in the movie (makes you wonder how many times I've seen it). I really love the concept, fashion and music of this movie. But they can cut the flying crap at the end. Can't wait for the sequel.
Rating: Summary: Wow, change your way of thinking Review: The Matrix is an awesome movie. It made me change the way I looked at things. It is soo good that I saw it in the theatre at least 4 times. There is good eye candy for all plus an intriguing plot that makes you have to watch it more than once. Every time you watch you will find a new thing in the Matrix.
Rating: Summary: What you expect from an action movie, 10 fold. Review: Went to see this (in a theater, like you're supposed to, you lowly hermits) expecting a stupid action flick. Left the theater juiced up and ready to take on the world, or what we think the world is. Yeah, it's corny in that good way, and the bible references are particularly annoying, but it's also a really fun movie. Movies, in case some of you forgot, are an escape from our little realities, and in this case, a really fun escape. Hey, hermits! Log off, take a shower, and get outside into the real world! Stop hiding under your trenchcoat hoods on the bus reading Piers Anthony and ignoring the people around you because they don't give you RPG points. You're alive! And movies are one of the great things that will remind you you're alive, especially in their intended setting (that's right, a movie theater.) Unplug yourself!!!
