Summary: The Greatest Movie of All Time
Review: The matrix is by far, the greatest movie I have ever watched. I loved every second of this action packed movie. I recommend this movie to anyone who has not seen it yet. The special effects blow away anything I have ever seen before. I love the Matrix!!!

Summary: Metaphor for life in today's society
Review: The matrix is conformity, or so one wise man once said. The movie is visually stunning, highly metaphoric, and original. But those aren't the best parts. I know this is just one in a long line of reviews and that I should have put one star, if i wanted attention, but it felt wrong, and so i just thought i would add my two sense. So glad to see the matrix is so popular and I can't wait for the sequels.

Summary: thought-provoking thriller
Review: The Matrix is definetely a 5 star movie. It has great actors, a brain-popping plot, and the best special effects I've seen before from any movie. The Matrix is a movie I watch over and over, so I would cetainly recomend buying the video.

Summary: An amazing DVD.... but the plot goes deeper!!
Review: The matrix is definitely one the of the best movies I have ever seen. The action was amazing, the plot magnificent, and the characters were well suited to their parts and their acting was stupendous. However there is a lot more to this movie than meets the eye.
Several days ago when I was watching the movie I was surprised how the story-line of the movie parallels that of the bible. First of all is Neo who would resemble Jesus. Neo is born in the fake world, is "re-born" by 'morpheus', and through his death and resurrection is able to overcome the matrix and defeat the AGENTS(the devil) finalize what he is. Morpheus is like John the Baptist who is in a sense "preparing the way for the ONE". Another similarity I found was the old matrix and EDEN. The old matrix was a perfect place but humans rejected it and were then forced to work and toil for the rest of their lives in misery and pain. I think it is also ironic how Neo kills the main AGENT in the end of the movie. The agent dies with his arms spread out in mockery of Jesus on the cross.
I've heard of many other parallels within Christianity and many other religions as well. It just makes you wonder if it was all a giant fluke or if the producer and storywriters of the matrix had something deeper in mind. Just keep that in mind the next time you watch it. Maybe you'll find some other parallels as well.

Summary: The best sci-fi movie this decade...
Review: The Matrix is easily the best science-fiction piece of the year (better than Star Wars), and in my opinion, better than anything this decade. Some of the best special effects ever, an interesting plot, even Keanu Reeves was good. Honestly, I didn't see this movie until a few weeks after it was released. I saw it three more times in the theater, and I'll be first in line for DVD.

Summary: Superb! William Gibson meets Joseph Campbell!
Review: The Matrix is fantastic! There isn't any other way to sayit. It follows the classic "Hero's Journey" and borrowsfrom Campbell even more blatantly than Lucas did with Star Wars... The action scenes are incredible, the plot line engrossing and the acting was quite good. Even Reeves, whose performances I normally consider flat, shined in his role as "Neo". Either he has matured as an actor, the directors catered to his "style" and made it work wonders, or both! I highly recommend this film to anyone who wants to see a solid, action packed, sci-fi masterpiece!

Summary: A great movie!!!!!
Review: The Matrix is full of surprising stunts and wild action sequences and nice for the whole family. Many people say this movie is inappropriate for children due to the movie's R-rating, but to their astonishment, the kids really enjoy it and are not scared. But please do not take your kids if you know they'll copy off stunts and try to act like the characters in the movie because many scenes in the movie, including the ending involves dangerous stunts and stunning visual effects. Some kids who see it just want to be cool.

The movie is about Neo (Keanu Reeves) who is taken out to meet Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) who teaches Neo that his life is surrounded by a computer called "The Matrix" which he feels, but didn't see. He can see it too.

Morpheus tours Neo inside The Matrix, teaching him all he can and Neo is facing some tough challenges. There are some scenes of violence which will offend parents, mostly ones who's a mother of father of a toddler.

The movie continues, and its running time is 136 minutes. It's overall smart, interesting and exciting. It is a nice movie to own, but since everyone has different tastes, don't buy it immediately if you didn't see it before. Rent it first, try to reserve it in the library because if you rent movies in stores it costs money, and the library is free.

Summary: Great movie, but Keanu....
Review: The Matrix is good, granted. The movie is amazing. Weaving and Fishburn are brilliant. Keanu is, well, Keanu. The man cannot act! But, alas, the movie pulls through anyway. so0, whatever. Ting-a-ling.
