Summary: Alien 3 (1992)
Review: Not the best in the series. But still a great installment.Sigourney Weaver plays RIPLEY, again 4 the third time of her life. This time, her ship crash lands on FIORINA 161, a maximum security prison, located in the corners of the solar system. In the ship with RIPLEY R CPL. HICKS, NEWT, and BISHOP. HICKS and NEWT were killed, due 2 the crash. BISHOP was smashed beyond repair. RIPLEY was the only survivor. She is taken in 2 the prison where she is 2 wait until the rescue squad arrives 2 pick her up. RIPLEY fears that an alien is in the building with her and the inmates because bodies begin 2 mount all over the place. RIPLEY realizes that the alien in this one is different than the others she had dealt with. In the first 2 films, the aliens always walked on 2 legs like a human because those aliens had gestated inside humans. The alien in this film walks on it's arms and legs, like a dog because it gestated inside of a dog and it moves as fast as a dog. RIPLEY soon discovers that she has one inside of her and must destroy herself after destroying the one she is dealing with. RIPLEY, DYLON, and MOORSE R the only ones left with this thing. They continue on with their plan with pouring hot lead all over it. It kills DYLON of course, leaving RIPLEY and MOORSE. After defeating the alien, RIPLEY happens 2 notice a "FAMILIAR FRIEND", who turns out 2 B no friend at all. He wants 2 remove the alien from RIPLEY and study it, rather than kill it. RIPLEY goes towards the edge of the balcony and falls 2 her death. While falling, the alien begins to burst through RIPLEY's chest. B4 it come all the way through, RIPLEY grabs it and holds it close 2 her, so it can't escape. I know it sounds like it is not worth watching because of our hero dying but 2 me, it was worth watching. It still has that same brilliant suspense. Don't B so upset about RIPLEY. She does return 4 the fourth installment.

Review: This was the least successful in the whole saga. Sigourney Weaver once again returns as RIPLEY. Her ship, which is carrying her, BISHOP, HICKS, and NEWT, crash lands on maximum security prison located the planet FIORINA 161, in the far corners of the solar system. HICKS and NEWT are killed from the crash and BISHOP was smashed beyond repair. In the role of CLEMENS is Charles Dance, the man who RIPLEY is attracted to. Charles S. Hutton is in the role of DYLON, who is sort of a minister in the prison. RIPLEY begins 2 suspect that an Alien is running around th prison after learning that bodies R mounting all over the place. RIPLEY happens 2 notice something different about this alien. It moves much faster than the others. It walks on it's hands and feet,like a dog. The others that RIPLEY had dealt with all walked like humans because they all gestated in humans. This alien walks like a dog because it gestated inside of a dog. Soon RIPLEY discovers that she has one inside of her. The one inside of her is queen, an egg layer. It could make thousands more like the one they R dealing with. RIPLEY and the men know they have to defeat this thing but they R without weapons and hi-tech equipment. The plan is 2 lead the alien in 2 a section of the prison where they can easily pour hot lead on it. DYLON promises 2 kill RIPLEY as she wished after killing the alien. DYLON dies trying 2 kill the alien. So now RIPLEY and smart-... MOORSE R the only ones left. The defeat the alien. A very familiar face approaches RIPLEY telling her that they've come take her 2 saftey and 2 remove the alien from inside of her and kill it. RIPLEY automatically knows that heis bluffing. As she jumps off the balcony and falls 2 her death, the alien busts through her chest, only she holds it in. She finally falls 2 her death,leaving the audience in a very depressed mood. This is not an OSCAR winning film but it is definitely an awesome sequel.

Summary: They Shoulda' Stopped at Two
Review: The original Alien and its sequel Aliens are true classics of the genre. Different movies in almost every way, but equally superior film making. Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection are sorry excuses for sequels. They're classic examples of Hollywood greed. Bad stories wrapped in excellent SFX don't make memorable movies. Alien and Aliens should be at or near the top of your "Must Have" sci-fi/horror/action DVD list. Aliens 3 and Alien Resurrection...well, something has to be at the bottom o' the heap.

Summary: Trouble in the brig...
Review: "Aliens", the preceding film in the series, ended with on a high note. Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) succeeded in dispatching the deadly Queen Alien to the vacuum of space. And this time she was not the sole survivor. "Newt" a young girl, and "Corporal Hicks", part of the attack force survived as well. Ripley, had also salvaged the torn remains of the android "Bishop" (Lance Henriksen). All resided peacefully in their respective tubes as we faded to the end credits. Alien 3 continues the saga, and quickly sets a somber tone. An alien "face sitter" is loose on the ship, USS Sulaco. Acid from the creature leaks out, causing a fire. The emergency initiates the automatic collection of the sleeping tubes into an escape craft. Released from the Sulaco, the craft falls into the atmosphere of Fury 161, a planet used as a prison facility, and crashes lands into what is presumably a body of water. A rescue party reaches the craft, and upon breaking in, finds that only Ripley has survived. The child Newt, and a bloodied Hicks lie dead in their tubes. Alien 3, doesn't have the suspense of Alien, or the spectacular excitement of Aliens, but it does have a story that doesn't degenerate into pure rubbish. There's even time enough for love. Some things do remain constant. The creature kills, and the Company wants it alive. The maximum-security prison, operates with a minimal staff, with the inmates also running a mining operation. Ripley's presence, sends shockwaves through the all-male population, and the presence of "lice" (where are they?) leads to the shaving of her head. Sporting a reddened eye, she is emotionally crushed after learning that her friends are dead. Medical officer Clemens (Charles Dance) becomes her ally, as she anxiously investigates, searching for evidence of the Alien's presence. Director David Fincher, keeps things dark and dreary. Pacing is a bit slow, as Ripley's arrival is an unwelcome break in the peaceful monotony of prison life. Prison superintendent Andrews (Brian Glover), seeking to maintain the status quo, has no time for Ripley and her "monster" stories. In the matter of maintaining order, religion and faith, are factors too. Prisoner Dillion (Charles Dutton) serves as a spiritual leader and enforcer among the men. These futuristic events have a distinct "British" flavor, as Dance, Glover and many others, speak with accents, and use English slang. The creature begins its rampage, uniting the survivors in a common goal, as they confront the Alien without any weapons, in a broken down facility. Ripley has her own more personal problem, discovering the presence of an alien growing in her body. Computer generated effects are used extensively, resulting a faster moving, and more active Alien. Led by Dillion and Ripley, the prisoners attempt to trap the creature. Luring the Alien through tunnel, after tunnel, after tunnel, until it is trapped and killed. Not very plausible, but still exciting. The Company, conveniently arrives on the scene, with Bishop II (Lance Henriksen) making one last plea for the life of the alien inside of Ripley. Ellen Ripley's death, would seem to have brought the series to an end, but then we all know better. Alien 3 is not a great movie, but it is good solid SF that delivers some thrills, and should not be missed. You see pretty much what you expect, and there are no big surprises, though the CG effects allow a more dynamic presentation of the Alien. Solid performances by stars Weaver and Dutton, and the supporting cast, headed by Daniel Webb (prisoner Morse) and Ralph Brown (Warder Aaron). It is a film that stands up to repeated viewings.

Summary: Alien 3- classic in disguise
Review: Dark, dismal, and hacked to little bitty pieces by Fox studios who wanted a two hour version of the film, Alien 3 was destined to be a disaster from day one. Then you have an audience that wants to have an upbeat film, nothing to dark and depressing or foreboding. I guess if we're going to judge movies on that merit, Schindler's List is the worst movie ever made. Rolling Stone movie critic Peter Travers recognized something nobody else did. "[Alien 3 is] an AIDS allegory" Interesting viewpoint. Sure, all of our furry little friends (including Ripley) that escaped LV426 in the last film die in Alien 3. Ripley is sort of the sacrificial lamb, having to confront the alien growing inside of her and the darkness of the last few months of her life (which is the time frame from Ripley's perspective since she first met the alien) and to prevent, once again, stupid greedy people from "The Company" to get their hands on this lethal creature. There have been really good films like this before. Films like "Chinatown" come to mind. Alien 3 defied the "everybody lives happily ever after" ending that becomes taboo in action films with tough odds. Why the odd-numbered installments are the best is because the absence of gunfire. Ripley has to use her wits to defeat the Alien, not a pulse rifle. The Gung Ho sequel to Ridley Scott's flawless horror classic isn't a bad film, but it gets awful tough on the nerves.

Review: This is a movie some did not like. It was different. But the tension is there. Yes, i rounded down, because i didn't like that that Newt and the Lt were killed after we thought they had been saved. Ripley looked pretty good for a dead babe... ya, i know, she gets that a lot.

Summary: Fools, all of you!
Review: You morons that say this is "the WORST movie EVER!" are sad cases. Are you saying Ron Howard's the Grinch is better? Home Alone is better? Battlefield Earth is better? This movie isn't even bad. You're just mad cuz all the "cool people" from Aliens were killed off. Face it, it would've been weak if they lived. I wouldn't wanna see Hicks and Bishop and Newt being chased around the prison-planet. Anyway, I think Fincher created a very slick and stylish sequel. I appreciate it for what it is.

Summary: Why does everyone hate (My real rating is 3 and a half stars
Review: Why? I mean come on! Plot holes? Watch ressurection if you want plot holes!! But really, i think this movie is preatty good and it has my favorite "style" of all of them, but why do people hate it so much? It is a litlle disappointing for a sequal after "Aliens" (THe best in the series) but no sequal can top aliens! It also does get unique, with the alien being a runner (the facehugger facehugs a dog, in turn the alien is more orange-ish and uses all fours more) AND most of the inmates suffering from XYY chromosomes (most males have XY ONLY chromosomes) making them more brutal, stronger, and increased horemones and such. You know, people say it has no character development and such, but david finchers ORIGINAL VERSION was 2hrs and 50 minutes! MAybe more character developments in there! Also the part of the "plot hole" of the beginning with how the facehugger gets on board, i know the REAL explanation (They actually filmed it!) It NOT two eggs or two facehuggers like they say, it's actually a "super facehugger" which the queen carries (probably)onto the sulaco on ALiens. It lays a queen egg and then a "protecter" (wich has direct telepathic link to the unborn queen). THe super facehugger facehugs riply and the dog. Now they didn't film the explenation (i don't think) but they milmed a seen where on of the prisoners finds the superfacehugger and thinks it's a jellyfish (I've seen it!. It's a little bigger than a normal facehugger and has webbing between the ?fingers?" SO there just wanted to explain that once and for all.

Summary: The movie is alright but the DVD lacks
Review: The movie was alright, the only thing that really saves it is the ending. The ending is a rather nice cap for the series. However there is very little that is good about this DVD. Very few extras. It was kind of a let down, as was the movie. I would buy this movie only if you want the complet Alien Legacy. Of course I pretend like Alien Ressurection doesn't exist but that is a whole different review.

Summary: Grate chances, Horrible resault.
Review: This movie is the second worst in the series, the ending of alien 2 offered so many grate chances to make a good alien 3 sequal. But David Fincher had to make it a boaring, depressing movie like he allways does with all his films.
I do think alien resurrection is worse becouse the guys who made that movie had no idea what the alien "Spirit" was about and made a movie that looked nothing like an alien movie too me. I think fincher did a little better then that, but not much better.
