Rating: Summary: movie differs from the book.....it's disappointing Review: Goldblum is a good actor, but it would be better if the movie resembled the book. he carachters are different. I saw the movie first, and thought the book would be close. Well, I have never been more wrong. the plot itself is differen. there are way to many "hunters" and the methods of getting on and off the Isla Sorna are to different to be humanly possible. Stay away and don't waste your money. it is too much of a dissapointment.
Rating: Summary: sequel Review: the lost world was great! it had awesome action scenes, the one were the t-rex was in the city was cool.
Rating: Summary: not really good Review: No really good. Kinda boring at times. Alright with good thrills. Score: 73/100
Rating: Summary: A good sequel... Review: "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" is not a perfect movie. There are parts in this movie that, yes, are pretty dumb. But there's still the science of the first. Still the sense of awe. Jeff Goldblum returns as Ian Malcolm, who goes back to Jurassic Park in order to save his girlfriend biologist from what he thinks is impending doom. When he and his team get there, they discover the woman is just fine, but the dinosaurs are in trouble. Hunters are capturing the dinos and transporting them to San Diego. The team realizes they have to stop them and get off the island at all cost. Pretty exciting, right? Well, it is; until they get to San Diego, where the T-Rex is set loose and the movie takes a turn for the worst. Up until the end, this film was just as exciting as its predecessor, though a little on the simple side. It wasn't as technological as the first, but it was just as thrilling. Spielberg obviously wanted to make a bigger, if not better, film and for the most part he does. The charm and wit of the first is still well in tact, and the dinosaurs are still very cool. "The Lost World" is a very fun movie that should hold your interest and even entertain you in more than a few parts.
Rating: Summary: Best Action-horror wan-a-be flick ever! Review: Unfortunately, the typical American movie goer doesn't know a thing about rhinoceros hunting; so it's not really their fault they don't know: guns can't kill dinosaurs; but the production team for this movie should have known or at least should have consulted a rhinoceros hunter; if they did they would have known: the rhinoceros has a thick skin, a dense bone structure, an incredible hulk; and it is still much smaller and frailer than a T-rex and many other dinosaurs; but even a rhinoceros hunter has to buy a gun way bigger than anybody in Jurassic Park had; and even that gun is so weak there's only a tiny little area the size of a quarter where the gun is able to actually able to bring down the rhinoceros; anything outside that area will either just plain bounce off the rhinoceros or it will penetrate enough to give him a slight irritation enough to make him mad enough to maybe: turn on the rhinoceros hunter and charge (Hope the poor hunter can run!) Now dinosaurs: Dinosaurs like the T-rex are much thicker skinned than the rhinoceros, much denser boned, and much heavier. Anything those guys in Jurassic Park fired would have bounced right off them. There are some weapons like hand grenades, missals, tank, and mounted guns that could bring down a T-rex. (Are you seeing how much potential for flash, bang, and explosion was lost?) Next thing I must complain about is first they seriously over rated guns then they completely underrated the intelligence of professional gun men! Just about every single attempt to fire a gun ended in a malfunction due to bad hardware or tampered with hardware. That is just stupid. A real gunman doesn't walk into a T-rex without checking his gun! No, this movie is just living proof that you don't have to have a brain to thought of as a genius. I really hope somebody goes back and completely remakes a similar story line. (And don't get me started on Reign of Fire!)
Rating: Summary: A major let down Review: This movie was a disgrace to me, and should be to Michael Crichton. I mean, it wasnt even remotly the same as the incredible novel. Not to mention, that the ending is so unbelievable, that you turn the movie off and just shake your head at how bad it stunk. Spielburg did a good job as he did with the first movie with the effects, but that is the only good thing about this otherwise sad movie version of a classic novel. As far as the acting goes, it isnt nearly as good as it was in "Jurassic Park". This movie could have been much better, if only if followed the book closer. If you want a movie keep you on your toes as the first one did, dont look here. Dont even bother renting this terrible movie.
Rating: Summary: Better Than What You May Think Review: When you read these poor reviews to this movie it really turns you away from it. But in my opinion this movie was one of Steven's best and still is. If you compare it to the horrible Jurassic Park 3 it's a classic. Just don't judge a movie by reviews and watch it. You'll probably enjoy it.
Rating: Summary: Suspensfull...... Review: Very supencfull and good. Scary. Everything a dinosour movie needs.
Rating: Summary: THE LOST WORLD- Jurassic Park* The Sequal Review: I`d say that this movie is one of my favorites! Jeff Goldblum, Julian Morre, and Richard Attenbourgh all star in this exciding thriller that amazed me.All except for the end, I thought that it drug on a little bit two long. They should have never took the t-rex to San Diego. But the rest of the movie was great! Ian (Also my name) Malcom went out on (Site "B" to get His girlfriend Sarah Harding. But they get caught on the island and almost got eaten up by Velociraptors in a tall grass maze. It was`nt as good as the first one but I thought that Speilburg did a great job! I think that the third one kind of broke the series off, I didnt give that onev a 5 star rating like I did this one. But it was OK. Thanks for reading this review. ...
Rating: Summary: Something has gone terribly wrong Review: Why they couldn't leave the dinosaurs alone after the first movie? I mean, sure, it deserved a sequel, but not like this one. Ian Malcom (Jeff Goldblum) goes to "site B" because he wants a woman off the island before she gets eaten. 'Nuff said.
