Summary: Great movie
Review: This was a great movie. A worthy sequal, It was what i was expecting out of the sequal. If you do not pay attention then you will get lost very fast. It has a lot of action yes, but then again it is an scifi action movie. After all people seem to forget that the matrix is not a real world, but one where anything is possibile. The plot makes you think, just like the first one, and for some people it may require a litlle to much thinking. If you liked the first one for more reasons then just the bullet time then you will like this one as well. The DVD gets only 4 starts because it looks to lack deleted scenes and such just like the 1st one.

Summary: Solid Film Worth Owning
Review: This movie pushed the cgi limits and had me convinced the brothers know asian cinima. Reloaded has been carefully planned scene by scene but the vaunted philosophy is nothing much more than you get in a freshman college course. ... I followed the whole script the first time as did my sister and brother. Timing, music, and delight at the vision it took to produce this move make me wonder just how [weak] are the other directors in hollywood. Get this film.

Summary: What a let down...
Review: The Matrix original movie is one of the best movies I've ever seen... So much so that I bought my DVD player the day the movie came out on DVD in order to watch it.The Matrix Reloaded has got to be the most terrible sequel ever made. Trying to capitalize on the fact that the first one was so well done, it relies on hype and fails to have any worthwhile plot choosing instead to rely on ultra action sequences that leave a lot to be desired. Overall - after having seen The Matrix original movie multiple times... I feel like I wasted my money watching the sequel.

Summary: The possibilities expand(Let justice be made)
Review: When I first saw the trailer of Matrix in 1999 I thought that it was just the average action film. But fortunelly I was mistaken. The Matrix, quite simply, renewed the action-sci fi genre more than his powerful adversary, "The Phantom Menace" by mr. George Lucas. Its mind blowing special effects along with a very rewarding and rich narrative, disguised as a rather convencional plot, made The Matrix the best sci fi movie of the 90's giving birth to what I call the Matrix phenomenon. Althought the first part could've been considered the end, the fans were left with a taste of "gimme more!" in their mouths. And then after a four year hiatous, amidst a strong advertising campaign, the second part of the trilogy, Reloaded was unveiled. I will not flatter this picture because there are a thousand other reviews that do that better than mine. All I say is that Reloaded is as good as the first one, probablly even better. Many movie critics and reviewers unfortunally resorted to foul play by utterly diminishing Reloaded (and Matrix before) with utter disdain. One of the most recurrent criticisms is that Reloaded simply delivers the same final product with a mere new package. It's sad to see people that think so black-and-white like this. But, I mean it was impossible to the Wachowski to do a movie as groundbreaking as the first Matrix, simply because there has been too much of a saturation by the media and all of those irracional pre-release expectations. From one side we have the audience, thirsty for new stuff, and on the other the creating authors pressed between the demands of the public and that of the $tudio$. And besides all of the advertising and consume strategies behind it it's difficult (to me at least) to see the Matrix films as a merelly commercial product churned out of this mass production industry that we all love/hate know as $Hollywood$. To finish this matter I think the brothers have actually made a very personal movie distiling all of their beliefs and ideas to the general audience in an aparently commercial format. I think that's one of the charms of the Matrix saga and we, viewers, are thankfull.
Now about the movie itself. Reloaded makes the mix of the first movie all the more thicker. We see the Matrix as what it trully is, a computer program. A digital farse like none we'll hopefully ever seen. Now more than ever "reality" is ellastic, bendable. The familliar characters have changed, some more than others in a more visible or subtble way. Neo, obviuslly, is now a living god inside the Matrix, but in the "real world", is a human like any other, or at least trying to be one. Trinity, his lover, continues to be one of the most honest and straightforward characters of the saga. Deep down she's only a soldier trying to do her best for the cause and also a woman that only wants love and doesn't fully understands what's going on arround it's love, Neo. Morpheus has on the other hand changed drammaticlly. Once the wise and calm mentor, now he's a man ready to die for his solitary beliefs, never accepting nothing that might condradict them. A zealot so to speak. And how could I forget, Agent Smith now a family man(a large one by the way). Instead of rebelling itself against the Matrix, now that he's no longer part of it Smith is more determined than ever to destroy Neo. He's like a warrior that wishes to clean up his honor, regaining purpose to his life. The last and more lasting impression of this movie is that nothing is what it seems to be, and will be on the fans minds until november when Revolutions arrives, and then nothing will be the same again...

Summary: Reloaded isn't THAT bad
Review: The Matrix Reloaded wasn't THE best film, but it also wasn't horrible either. I think the problem with some people not liking this movie is having too high of expectations. The thing that made the first Matrix huge was the fact that it was new and original. You can't have a sequel to a movie and expect it to be something completely new or it wouldn't be much of a continuation. The dialogue could be pretty confusing at times, but it's not like it didn't make sense. I'm not too keen on vocabulary so I watched it a couple times and eventually I knew exactly what was going on. The fight scenes were pretty long, but ultimately, they were done really well. You may find this movie a let down, but if you compare it to other movies these days, then its a work of friggin art.

Summary: Ergo, what is the meaning of this movie?
Review: Being a highly-anticipated movie and not even being #1 for more than one week! I still hear about people raving about this movie and how it was really "thought provoking" and whatnot. But if so many people liked the movie so much then why do so little people understand what the movie is all about?! I enjoyed the first intallment of the "The Matrix", in fact, I didn't have to watch it twice in order to understand and enjoy the underlying messages in the movie. I believe that's all you need in order to label a movie a "good movie". That's not the case with "Reloaded". Sure it had great "highly animated" fighting scenes, but is that what makes a great movie, great? I think people were blinded by these special effects and are appreciating the effects more than they do the movie. Great actors with bad script/lines, lack of substance, pointless "rave" scene, and cheesy "love scenes"? What is going on here? And the scene with The Architect. Please, show me someone who fully understood what that was all about without them having to read the script and look up the words. A good movie does not require you to carry your own pocket dictionary to a movie theatre. And there is no way that I'm going to shell out [the money] again just to watch it and understand it. NO WAY...

Summary: Overblown And FX Ladened Rubish!
Review: As a fan of Lawerence Fishburne, I tried to like this film. Unfortunately not even the great Fishburne could sway me from finding this film more than a bit unnescessary. I often poke fun of people who use films like this to develop some sense of life meaning or philosophy if you will. From a film? Whatever happened to reading a book about it instead of sitting on your butt and taking in some quasi-intelligent sci/fi film for your life lessons seems more than a bit ridiculous but this is neither here or there. Now on with the review! Keanu Reeves seemed wooden and pompous as usual moreso in this film than the last and it's more annoying that Kate Moss' character "trinity" whose character is even more annoying. Besides this film's silly attempts at philosophy "Philosophy 101" the acting was a bit horrible even from the immortal Fishburne. The FX of course are tight but they could've included a more coherent plot!

Summary: Bullseye
Review: Reloaded mixed [awesome] action with a plot of incredible depth. I've seen the movie 5 times, one of which was in the IMAX(which, if you have the chance, is an experience not to be missed). I will admit that the script/writing style was at times overwhelming, but that is a problem which can be solved by multiple viewings.
Reloaded has me grasping for Revolutions (November).

Summary: Very awsome movie
Review: everyone seems to label it a disappointment and i dont know why, its the sequal to the matrix..there is astounding feats of action by neo and the cool twins and dont forget Agent smith or smiths. THe music rocks i love it, pod is flaming on the cd Wachowski brothers have again outdone themselves in a magnificent film! Is it any wonder they broke the records! :D The music is outstanding the film is maginificent the promotions are awsome..YOU GUYS ROCK THE WORLD!! I have to admit the orgy scene was a little long but i think of any one was open minded to what zion is supposed to be they would understand why it was in there. ZION: the last place for human kind, a haven for freedom and love..the two things they didnt really have in the matrix. There is so much to relate to in The matrix with religeons. I ending was well done! I cant wait for revolutions, ill be heading out to get the matrix reloaded on dvd as soon as its out! Ignore the bad reviews and continue the good reviews, ROCK ON!

Summary: unfairly slammed
Review: I had three friends who saw this movie. One loved it, one thought it ok, and the last hated it. With such mixed reviews from friend and critiqes alike ringing in my head, I went and watched Reloaded. I sat with an open mind and took the spectacle in, and walked out of the movie theater... Well, hell, I liked it! I really don't see why it got such bad reviews. The philisophical lectures are as fascinating as the high-octane action sequences were perfect. Some complained about a lack of plot; I saw a plot throughout the movie. My gripes? I agree that some of the dialog was stilted, but no where near the degree that other's complained. (And let's be honest, the original had some stilted dialog as well.) The beginning is somewhat confusing, but using common sense (ok, they're in their badass coats and sunglasses - they must be inside the Matrix now) you can figure it out. All in all I thought it was as enjoyable as the original movie. When you sit and watch this, don't think of it as a movie in itself; think of it as an extension of the first. Give this movie a shot. If you liked the first, there is no reason you won't like this one. Peace
