Summary: RELOADED
Review: THIS IS MY FAVOURITE OUT OF THE WHOLE TRILOGY. FROM START TO END THERE IS ACTION AFTER ACTION. THIS FILM KEEPS YOU ON YOUR TOES AND OF YOUR SEATS. I COULD WATCH THIS FILM OVER AND OVER AGAIN. BAD.

Summary: a bit dissapointed
Review: I know that is is hard to follow in the footsteps of a movie like the first matrix, but I still feel it could have been better.

I will start with the good. The visuals were stunning as before. They created some interesting new characters: the sentient programs, though I found for the most part, poorly acted, were an interesting idea, the upgraded agents, the new replicating agent smith, and SOME of the members of ZION. There were some good action sequences, the burly fight was pointless as you can get but entertaining, the car and bike chase sequence was nothing short of heart stopping, and I liked Trinity's invasion of the power plant.

That sums it up for the good.

The bad: Zion was wasted, aside from a few characters it just wasn't that interesting. The speech Morpheus gave before the rave just wasn't that well written, and the rave was stupid. The fight sequences weren't as well done as they were in the first movie. They lacked the interesting group of protagonists, no Cypher, no Mouse, no Tank or Dozer. I understand they were either dead or estranged from the producers, but they could have replaced them with some better ones than they had. Jada Pinket Smith looked cool, but was ultimately wasted. The keymaster was a good concept but played out really dull. The movie had a feel that it wasn't really cohesive, like it was a collection of sequences or images rather than a movie.

All in all it wasn't a bad movie. But it wasn't great. it wasn't something you want to watch over and over again, or if you did you hit the forward on the dvd player to skip over the many slow or ineffective parts.

Maybe the Wachowski's should have filmed this, then taken another five years to do the next one. Because it felt a bit rushed, and the final was obviously rushed and horribly thought out.

all in all
not bad

Summary: How bad you ask?
Review: The question is how bad is the Matrix Reloaded? Some where in the world, children are crying out in pain and anguish. In another corner, a religious sect has been formed with the intent of never speaking the word 'Wachowski' again. Because of this movie, world peace cannot be accomplished and the movie industry has been set back ten years. If the Wachowski brothers had stopped after the first one, the world would be a better place. This movie is so incredibly shallow. There are a few primary reasons for this. Firstly, in this movie the action is primary to the plot as opposed to the first Matrix where the action was secondary. The action IS the plot in this one. The first movie smoothly integrated each action scene into the plot. Secondly, Keanu talks too much. One of the reasons for the great success of the first movie was the lack of dialogue for Keanu. Anything more than 'Ok' or 'Because I belive' and the whole thing just comes off as cheesee. The supposedly 'heavy' dialogue is all just BS. It doesn't make any sense. In one scene, a mysterious character even admits that what he will say will not make any sense, but not to worry. Of course, he goes onto say it anyway. I challenge someone to submit an actual transcript of the dialogue to an English teacher. The teacher will instantly die of cardiac arrest. "Gah! Too... many... sentance... fragments!" Well it could have been worse. Will Smith was originally asked to play the part of Neo (no joke).

Summary: I Like Sci Fi!
Review: Just wished to say that being a bit into perverse likings lets hear it for agent Smifff! Especially where there are more of him.

I reckon he is hilarious and that there ought to be a run off t.v. series like Stargate. With Him losing all the time of course. I just love the cricking of the neck after or during a fight. Seriously he is a great actor and in my opinion outshone Keenu Reeves who'es general expression (with the glasses off) seemed perpetually surprised and I'm only here for the beer?

Summary: Outstanding
Review: I was surprised to see the amount of negative feedback this film recieved. This is personally the best movie out of the three. "Reloaded" offers a whole new perspective on the Matrix world. It shows that there is so much more to the Matrix then just a program to keep humans in check. "Reloaded" presents rogue programs that use the Matrix to their own personal pleasures (The "French man"), and also builds on other characters such as a virus the is spreading to every other program (Agent Smith), not the mention the Oracle, Seriph, and a host of others.

I come to learn that people that hate his movie, don't understand it. I'm not talking about understanding the plot, I'm talking about understanding the vision of the creators. I used dislike this movie as well, that's becuase at first I did not understand what the creators wanted, but after repeated viewing I've come to love this film. If you expect answers from any of the movies, your wrong becuase the movies only bring up more questions. I see this as an opprotunity instead of a downfall in the movies.

The directors left the viewers with the abilty to make their own threories up. None of them can be called right or wrong, just different. Most people are upset becuase the Matrix movies didn't solve any of the questions, but that is understandable. The directors invented a completely original fantasy world in the Matrix movies and they left us the viewers to make all the decisions on what happened. The mystery surrounding these movies are what make them so appealing.

I'll be objective here, this movie isn't perfect. Yes some scenes are too long and irrelevent, like the whole Zion dance scene. But how many movies out there have overlogged scenes that seem rather irrelevent? Almost every movie I have seen has atleast one scene that seems irrelevent and too long. I'm not going to give this movie 1 or 2 stars just cause of 1 bad scene. Also, the Twins were 2 great characters which were killed off to early, and too easily considering the awsome powers they possessed. The acting was subpar yes, but what do u expect with Reeves playing the lead role, I didn't watch his movie for the acting.

But what this movie lacks it more the makes up with the army of Smiths fight scene, the best car chase scene in the history of movies, and the killer "Chateau" fight scene. The characters still look bad-ass as hell, and the music perfectly compliments this film.

You CAN NOT turn off your brain for this movie. This movie required thought because it doesn't answer any questions, you have to do it yourself. When you watch this movie, you have to be open to every posibilty. Most people are used to being force-feed the plot like a little infant, Matrix offers a mature audience the opprotunity to expand their minds by creating their own decisions on the characters.

If you are ready for this movie, you'll give it 5 stars. If you aren't ready for this movie, or are just too ignorant to understand it, you'll give it 1 or 2 stars.

Don't watch this movie expecting Oscar quality acting because that's not what the creaters were striving for. Don't watch this movie expecting everything to fall in place at the end. Above all, don't watch this film with a closed mind.

I applaud the Wachowski brothers for creating a truely great and original series of movies. Too much work, time, and effort went into this movie to say it was made to bring in more money. The Wachowski brothers creating something special here that most people just do not understand.

Summary: Over use of cgi and a failed love story....
Review: Well what makes this movie similar to Lord of the Rings was the mis use of cgi. So much in one movie that it gives you a headage just watching it. They tried to do a love story here where the Carrie Ann Moss characters and the Keau Reeves character find love in the elevnth hour before the final neo-war takes place, and it does not work. It looked like watching a video game with two video charecters trying to be human when they are just cheap computer images and that's all. So many people liked this movie, I think it's one of the stupidest movies ever made.

Summary: Great Movie But Like the 1st Way Too Long!
Review: This movie was like two hours fifteen minutes. They couldh've made it 20 minutes shorter if that fight with the about500 Agent Smiths had been cut down. Also I didn't quite understand the plot(if there was one ):. The plot as I know it is Neo is beginning to understand his powers and his relationship with Trinity is growing (as there is a 20 minute long sex/dancing scene). The good news is it didn't seem like such a computer geek's movie, most of the stunts were real (like the super cool freeway chase). Also many more characters were introduced, the story didn't just center around the Nebachanezzar (I think I spelled that correctly). The super-villian Agent Smith has gotten a lot more mad at Neo and there are several confrentations. Overall a super-cool movie with cool characters and special effects!

Summary: Matrix 1 - Amazing... Matrix Reloaded - Ruined it...
Review: The original Matrix is easily one of the best movies I've ever seen - Timeless, incredibly well thought out... Simply brilliant.

The Matrix Reloaded was long, boring, unimaginative and simply a way to make money off the hype built up on the first one. The only highlight in the whole movie was that it had Monica Bellucci (stunning) and somehow they even managed to make her look plain (I have no clue how they did it but they did...)

My advice is that it's one of those movies that one has to watch simply because everyone else has seen it but I would never own it. Very disappointing. Very...

Summary: The ruination of the "Matrix" mythology does NOT begin here
Review: THE MATRIX: RELOADED is a good, relatively intelligently-written film...an ambitious fantasy which manages to achieve nearly-perfect internal consistency. Furthermore, it's a decent middle chapter for the trilogy because it reveals a new strategic layer of the enemy's mechanizations, and it fleshes out the "Matrix" mythology by displaying the richness of both the Matrix and Zion settings.

Happily, the film does not feel much like a sequel that had been "forced" into existence for commercial reasons--though we all know it was! At this point, only the proffered reintroduction of the Smith character and the proffered replacement of the Tank character are awkwardly "forced". In other words, the film offers no convincing internal justification as to why Smith could not have stayed dead, and why Tank could not have stayed alive.

However, THE MATRIX: RELOADED is apparently designed to satisfy just two types of moviegoers: first, those who delight in imaginative-but-gratuitous action sequences; and, second, those who are very comfortable in their knowledge of the prior installment and have a taste for its unique metaphysical/sci-fi recipe (but there's an important difference: this time, the Wachowski brothers don't even try to hint at potential answers to their metaphysical questions...so, in effect, they're promising a future "enlightenment payoff" which the next chapter unfortunately won't deliver!).

Summary: Just Great.
Review: I watched this again last night, and it never lets me down. No, it doesn't live up to its predecessor, but what could? Here we are with Agent Smith replicating himself, Neo is now completely the all powerful One, the Oracle is mysteriously missing, and the crew of the Nebuchadnezzor is sent to find the keymaker? Few movies could pull off such a ridiculous plot, but the Matrix Reloaded can. Again we see incredible fights, and great special effects. The bad guys are tougher, and the ending is a bigger twist than I could have hoped for. If you are a fan of the Matrix and actually missed this, you missed a whole lot. See this movie.
