Summary: terrible and boring
Review: This film is all about superficiality and nothing more. The fight sequences are silly as they're doing nothing more than dancing ---resurrecting those silly chop sockey choreographies I grew up watching as a kid. I'm glad my brother rented this dvd as I would never pay to see this.

Summary: Great movie, but first was better in ways.
Review: Reloaded succeeds in ways the first does not, and vice versa. The plot is okay: machines are tunneling through the earth and they will reach Zion in 72 hours. Morpheus, our deep-voiced, John-the-Baptist believer, thinks that Neo, the confused savior, will rescue them all. His love Trinity, whom is the main character of Neo's reocurring nightmare of her being chased by Agents and eventually dying, doesn't have much character but is very good in the action scenes. Tank, the operator of Morpheus's ship (forget how to spell the name) is replaced by Link (which is an improvement in my opinion.)First of all, if you are a pedal-to-the-metal action fan, this movie will soar to your Top Ten. The sequel is packed with complex fighting scenes. But therein lies the problem. While the first could have added a teaspoon more action, the second could have used a gallon less. The scene where Neo fights a 100 Smiths is way too long, cut it in half and it would fit nicely. I don't have any beefs with the freeway chase (which is one of the best car chases I've ever seen), nor the others, but more dialogue and philosophy should have been inserted in between. The prequel was great because it adds mystery, suspense, characterization, a sprinkle of almost everything, and the Wachowskie brothers weaved it together flawlessly (save for aforementioned suggestion.) The second, I feel, was designed for action and little insight. I strongly recommend you buy it, for it is a wonderful movie, but I am simply telling you that you might feel disappointed.

Summary: Excellent movie! (For the fan)
Review: People should know what they're getting into by now. I remember some people saying the first one was too fake/far out there or it didn't make any sense, now some of those same people love it. This is an excellent movie, IMO. The movie was great through out, Zion scene and all. That scene is the middle of the movie tension breaker for the all too serious. It's the mellow vibe/relax/take a break for a moment scene plus something possibly coming in the third segment that weaves in and out of the dance scene (conception anyone?). Remember, this movie is meant to be watched all 3 consecutively to create one consistent story/movie. So this chill scene is just before the middle of the whole movie or so. Also some are saying that the second one seems forced or they didn't see a second one coming and should have just left it like it was. If you remember even towards the beginning of the first installment where Neo gets arrested and taken into custody they zoom in on Neo at the beginning of the interrogation scene, you notice the architects little monitors. It didn't make sense to me at first, but does now. I was wondering why they would have him on so many monitors? I guessed cause there was more than just the agents watching him, but it was never made clear who or what exactly was above the agents, watching them. There are a lot of little things like this that just seemed to fly over people's heads. They introduced to us a number of new characters, setting up for the finale in the third installment. They also showed things like the basic inner workings of the city/city counsel without taking too much time/boring us and leaving some to your imagination. Obviously some people didn't notice how the camera work, which was not just the same old thing, has evolved and is far more intricate than its predecessor. It makes the camera work in the first installment look more simplistic and slower in comparison. With less running and less one-on-one fighting, the action sequences also have become faster and more complex. A lot of the things said in this movie seemed buried for some reason or went by too fast and went over peoples heads, but it's there and it probably wont hit people until watching this a few more times. Matrix Fans Get This!

Summary: Missing the Story
Review: When I first saw Reloaded, I thought it was a great movie. After I watched it on DVD and went through all the extras on disc 2, I thought it was an awesome movie. I then proceeded to watch Animatrix and played the game at a freind's house. The plot which everyone refers to as "lacking" in Reloaded is actually carried through these 2 other formats. If you want the full effect of the story, you need to get yourself immersed in it by getting into all 3 mediums, the movies, the game, and the anime. Then and only then will you really get it, even if you thought you already did.

Summary: This movie should not have been made
Review: I wasn't going to bother writing a review of Matrix II, being that, like 99 percent of all sequels, it failed to match the potency and creativity of its predecessor. Sure, the special effects and action sequences are incredible. Cool explosions, car chases, kung fu, all without taking off sunglasses or reloading. Yawn. Yeah, that's right, God forbid someone in Hollywood realize that it takes more than special effects to deliver a decent film. For example, look at the last two Star Wars movies.
Or Independence Day. I doubt anyone over the age of 13 thinks those are vehicles worth seeing more than once. Moreover, the first hour of the movie is wretched, what with the need to show every excruciating detail about life in Zion. So everyone there is hot and the sex is even hotter, accompanied with a techno beat. It's so metrosexual. Problem is I don't care about how the dishes are washed or if the wives of the crew are having a hard time dealing with the deployments. Shoot me now. Nor does the plot hold up once the intrepid crews voyage out to do battle. Neo simply gets into impossibly one-sided scraps and then, surprise, flies away. Bottom line, why does this movie stink? Here's why -- I caught the Matrix on cable last night, which is one of those films like Raiders of the Lost Ark. Once you start watching it, you can't tear yourself away from it. Matrix II fits more into the Temple of Doom category -- 2 stars and consignment to the bottom of the pile of the video pile. There's a reason TBS shows Jaws or Raiders, you know, and not the crap that followed.

Summary: The Return of the Jedi in the Series
Review: The Matrix Reloaded lacks the the perfect marriage of Action and Story of the first film and the action and story feel contrived at times. However, I think Resolutions will be the Empire Strikes Back of the series and what Return of the Jedi should have been.

Review: I thought that the Maxtrix was a great Movie. They should have left it alone because there was very little plot and the rave (sex scene) was just to long and it felt like it was just filler to take up time. What a terrible movie. I might catch the third one on DVD.

Review: when I first saw Matrix Reloaded I thought it was totally awesome. *reality check* I just watched it again, like five months later, and I realized how much better the first one is.
the fight scenes. there is no end to them in this movie, people! there's a little dialogue, then a ten minute fight scene. a little dialogue, then a ten minute fight scene. grrr. I mean, at the end of Matrix #1 we know Neo is now quite powerful. Soooo of course the Wachowski or however you spell their names brothers have to show how powerful he is in these fight scenes. He does all this amazing stuff, but after awhile it does get quite boring. Okaaay, we know Neo can dodge bullets and stop them and beat ten gazillion Agent Smiths, so stop with all the fight scenes! grrr!! and the dialogue......repulsive. Keanu Reeves....just....CANNOT act!!!!! "I wish...I just wish......I don't know!" Yeah, you wish you could act! Wjhat's funny is that Neo, the One, can do all these amazing, mind-boggling stunts, including his stupid flying thing, but does not know ANYthing. half the time when Trinity or Morpheus (who can't act either) ask him something, he replies, in a dull voice, "I don't know." I mean, I almost had a party when he finally replied, "I know!" to Trinity!
All these other dumb characters. The Merovingian is a total, stuck-up, snotty nosed idiot, all he talks about is "dduhhhh, cause and effect, duuhhhh." Persephone reminds me of a spoiled child....honestly, Agent Smith is kind of my favorite character. And the Keymaker, who could act, died....the Oracle actually spoke sensible advice to Neo in movie one, if you can believe it. Now she says all this idiotic rubbish about "You already made the choice, you're here to understand why you made it." Oooooookay......I mean, it's a science fiction movie, and they say all this weird, New Age like stuff, and talk about nothing about choice and deletion and stuff. The Architect is kind of cool, though.
Zion=pointless. It's like the year 3000, and they;re having temple gatherings, of all things? And all the dudes who live there are like Hindus. "Neo, we bring offerings....." yeah.
rent this at your local Blockbuster. don't buy it, please, I beg you. Neo, get acting lessons, Morpheus, stop talking like Darth Vader, Merovingian.....drop dead.......Agent Smith, rock on......and Wachowski bro's, pleeeaaase make Revolutions much better, pleeeeaaasseee.

Summary: Not Great, but not so bad either
Review: Yeah, hi. Time to add a little more junk to this junkpile of 1100+ reviews...
When I saw the first Matrix I would have been like, "Whoa....What?" But it's good to have friends who have seen it enough times to point out that in the virtual world you notice that all the shots have green bases. Very clever. It's not exactly that confusing.
But in the Matrix Reloaded...you have to give it some kinda credit, right? I mean, it's a sequel! The sword Morpheus was carrying was shiny....^_^ Oh, gotta love the twins. Such lack of emotion kind of reminds me of the Shmoopies. (Yeah, you won't know what I'm talking about.... Give it a few years' time.) *sigh* I'm just rambling, aren't I?
Ok...now for the "This movie was so terrible!" part. The movie revolved around choice and purpose. Come to think of it...this movie was practically chained to these motifs and without a blowtorch handy. Some of the dialogue...not the French guy...Morpheus was kinda eh....TRINITY'S! Absolutely cornballed. Trinity: Is that good for us or bad for us?
Neo: Every floor is wired with explosives.
Trinity: Bad for us.
Gee, Trin...way to state the obvious! A lot of the fighting...each fighting scence was a lame excuse to stick in some bullet time and martial arts. And toward the end when Neo's using his special stop-flying-objects-in-midair thing for the Sentinals, I was just thinking "Ok, pass out already, we know it's going to happen." And whaddaya know? HE DOES! I agree with a lot of people...this was very much like a video game. *Waits for the pop-up* "You have just fallen into a coma-induced sleep. GAME OVER! To play again, please insert 25 cents."
Kay, I'm done ranting. In short, the movie was cheesy, but it made you think. Hopefully Revolutions won't be too predictable. *gets the ZION WINS!!!! sign and strings up some lights and bannders*
