Summary: Lighten up. . . .
Review: I enjoyed this movie as much as the first one, mostly because of the way that the characters were making fun of themselves and society. No, it's not a classic that's going to be around forever, but it is an amusing film that fulfills its greatest purpose--entertainment. If you're looking for more than a couple of hours of escapism, you won't find it here. It's not a "Lord of the Rings" quality movie, but it's still fun. Smith is good, Jones is good, and the dog's great. The villains are somewhat weak and contrived, but they aren't the point here. It's a lot of fun constantly being reminded that things as we see them are possibly not what we think they are, and wondering what we'd do if we found out that they aren't. This movie is more about enjoying a movie experience, and if you come into it with your own expectations of what this movie should be, of course you'll be disappointed. Just sit down and have fun with this one.

Summary: Pretty sorry piece of junk
Review: I loved MIB, but I avoided MIBII because of the bad reviews. I finally saw it on cable tonight. Bleah! I knew it wasn't going to be great, but I didn't think it could possibly be as dull as it ended up being. There were a few good lines and some semi-interesting special effects, but good SFX are a dime a dozen these days. Otherwise...

Tommy Lee Jones sleepwalked through this one. Will Smith I usually like, but he's turned into a one-note actor. The chick who played the pizza girl had no function in the movie besides providing a temporary love interest for Agent J and a ridiculous heartbreak for both J and K at the end; she pretty much got toted around by the other characters. The script is creatively bankrupt; it's a terribly short movie (about an hour and a half), yet feels padded with useless moments and unnecessary characters. The story (what there was of it) could have been told in one of the half-hour episodes of the MIB cartoon. The action had an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink feel of sheer desperation. One can imagine the "creative" minds behind this turkey saying, "Ooh, let's flush the agents down a big toilet! Ooh, let's show Michael Jackson as an alien!" (now there's a stretch) "Ooh, won't Tommy Lee Jones look funny in a mailman outfit?" Ho ho, hee hee.

MIB II is like a tossed salad made of everything in your fridge. Every so often you bite into a tasty bit, but the rest is just one big odd-smelling, unpalatable mess.

Summary: LONG-AWAITED SEQUEL IS NOT WHAT EVERYONE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE
Review: THIS TIME, A FEMALE ALIEN [LARA FLYNN BOYLE] ENDANGERS THE EARTH IN A QUEST FOR THE LIGHT OF ZARTHA. AGENT J [WILL SMITH] MUST FIND THE RETIRED AGENT K [TOMMY LEE JONES] AND RESTORE HIS MIB MEMORY SO HE CAN RID THE EARTH OF THIS THREAT. NOT AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL, BUT IT'S STILL OK. ONE HILLARIOUS SCENE IS WHERE MICHAEL JACKSON TRYS TO CONVINCE AGENT ZED [RIP TORN] THAT HE'S WORTHY OF BEING IN THE MIB. GOOD SPECIAL EFFECTS, BUT ONCE AGAIN, THIS IS ANOTHER SEQUEL THAT FAILS TO COMPARE TO THE ORIGINAL. BUT, THIS MOVIE MAKES AN ALRIGHT SCI-FI/COMEDY.

Summary: Not as good as the 1st movie but still good.
Review: I really enjoyed watching this film. Its about this secret orgazation to fight crime----alein crime. aleins from outer space. Not--not like France. Anyway this is the 2nd time they save the world. The effects were better but the story was lacking.

Summary: A good solid 10 minute movie
Review: Smith was Jones and Jones was Smith again but... Some said that with MIB I once you saw the trailer, you saw the movie. But MIB I was a lot of fun. MIB II was only fun for the first 10 minutes. I didn't hear a single laugh for the rest of the movie. There was an ocasional smile, therefore 2 stars instead of 1. Once the dog character was replaced by tommie Lee jones, the movie just seemed to be a waste there after. Not recommended.

Summary: effects-laden sequel with fewer laughs
Review: I didn't think this sequel to Men in Black was as clever or as fun as the original, but the effects were good and Will Smith and Rip Torn are always fun to watch. Lara Flynn Boyle was not as wickedly fun as Linda Fiorentino, but by all accounts maybe she is easier to work with :-) I thought Tommy Lee Jones was not nearly as funny as he was in the first film; instead of being deadpan, he seems bored here, and rightly so. The action and settings are very similar to the first MiB, though creature design and makeup is very good.

DVD extras are average. There is a trailer; a teaser; an ad for the MIB Deluxe edition; trailers for Spider Man, Ghostbusters and Mask of Zorro; a fun animated short, The Chubb Chubbs; and a Crossfire game demo (which didn't work on my computer). There is also a commentary track by director Sonnenfeld, and the film can be heard or subtitled in English or French.

Summary: Very Dissapointing
Review: From what was seen in the previews, MIB II looked to be a promising sequel. The sad part is, all of the good scenes were shown in the previews and the rest of the movie was a huge dissapointment. It all starts too fast and the entire plot is rushed. There are very few funny one-liners from Will Smith and the special effects were very mediocre.

MIB II begins with Agent J(Will Smith) who finds out that the fate of the earth lies within what his old partner, agent K(Tommy Lee Jones) knows. The only problem is, Agnent K is not part of the MIB anymore and his memory was earased after he quit. So now J must help K remember who he was before it is too late.

This movie was incredibly short and has nothing new in it. It copied too much from the original and pretty much ran out of original ideas. Definatly not worth all of the hype. Watch the original instead.

"Men In Black II" runs for about 85 minutes. It is rated PG-13 for sci-fi violence, crude humor, language, and some sensuality

Summary: One of my favorites
Review: This by far a Five Star Movie. I loved this movie, I saw it the day it came out. The ending is 100% funny. The movie is packed with action, adventure, and comedy. It is an amazing movie that everyone should see.
