Summary: I LOVED IT!!!
Review: I really enjoyed everything about this movie. The cinematography, acting, and the music was awesome. I especially liked the show by the Diva. She put a great spin on classical music! Some parts of the movie were really funny. Chris Tucker was a riot! Also, I thought Milla Jovovich did a fine job as the supreme being, and I thought her alien dialect was cute. I highly recommend this movie and I'm sure you'll watch it again and again (I sure do!)

Summary: Wow
Review: I was astounded by the visual shots and the originality that is displayed in some portions of this movie. I also found myself enjoying the small things this movie had to offer: such as the surface of Earth being totally polluted and the use of the word "green." (It may seem odd to some, but does the word "cool" sound any better when you take it literaaly)?

The love story seemed well-done to me. This is just my opinion, but I find this movie hard to top.

Summary: a visual feat
Review: This is a beautiful movie with stunning visuals and exotic music. I loved it. On the down side, the plot is sometimes predictable. But overall, it is worth watching. Five stars!

Summary: Definitely not star wars for the 90's
Review: that is what it said on the cover of the video so I being a sci fi fan said hey sounds good to me. I also remembered seeing trailers for it that made it look like a sci fi action movie. that it was not. it was more humorous than action. Worth watching if you are a Bruce Willis or sci- fi fan otherwise this probably isn't for you.

Summary: Oh My God
Review: Should have been called The Fifth Excrement --- the worst movie I have ever seen.

Summary: Relax and check your brain...
Review: This movie is a great goof of a movie, two hours plus of pure tongue-in-cheek fun. Bruce Willis looks a lot less bored than he has recently, Milla Jovavich (sp?) is luscious and Chris Tucker is a hoot.

Summary: Lost in Space
Review: This movie threw me for a loop! As i was watching the first hour of it i came so close to actually fast forwarding it. I found the plot and the entire story hard to follow at times unless you were completely paying attention 100% of the time. Some of the characters were a tad bit annoying, especially the character played by Milla Jovovich. She reminded me of a space aged "Nell" (the jodi foster character). Her ramblings were boderline intolerable at times, making it nauseating to watch. The scene where she is babeling to Bruce Willis, carrying on in some unintelligable jargon was also hard to stomach. "Boom boom", she came crashing through the roof of his cab, then Bruce tried to communicate with her using her dialect and the whole thing just became ridiculous to watch. (Almost as ridiculous and tacky as the orange tank top he wore throughout the film). Gary Oldman plays a swarthy "bad-guy type character" wanting to gets his hands on the stones! His character too, is annoying and you find yourself asking, "does that plastic thing really need to be on the side of his head?"

What saved this movie for me was the performance by Chris Tucker and the cool opera solo by the blue creature. As soon as she appeared on screen, emenating a blue glow and belting out a haunting operatic falsetto, my outlook began to change on this seemingly forgettable film. To make matters more strange, Chris Tucker's character began to come to life as well. He added comic relief to the fullest extent. I found myself barking out in fits of laughter over his psychotic performance. The movie quickened up it's sluggish pace towards the end, and bam! everything started to fall into place in lightning speed. Even Gary Oldman's character somehow became more interesting to watch.

So The Fifth Element (saved by the grace of Chris Tucker) was not a complete loss. With an unforgetable classic scene by that opera singin' blue thing, it's worth owning for that alone. I just wish they could re-do the first half of the film!

Summary: Really fantastic movie
Review: Great visual effects, great plot, really fantastic movie. Best sci-fi in quite a while--I would put it in the same vein as Bladerunner. Wow.
