Summary: Blade II does what all sequals should, up the ante...
Review: I saw this movie in the theater and I've already pre-ordered my DVD. Take everything you liked in Blade and double it, this is Blade II. The special effects are awesome, especially the end fight scene which will leave you smiling. Everything about this movie spells "winner" as a sequal. You won't be disappointed if you're a Blade fan. Of course, of you're a real Blade fan you would have already seen this movie at the theater. ;o) Get it now!

Summary: It was okay, not as good as the first though!
Review: The turn off of this movie was that squeamish people like me will not like the blood and gore. There is too much of it. The B&G was worse in this one than in the first which had minimal gore. Anyway, this movie was okay. The effects looked too fake also. If you enjoyed the first BLADE then there is no doubt that you will rent or purchase this one. Here's a bit of advice: Rent this one first. You will either love it, kinda like it (like me), or absolutely hate it. I will own this on DVD, as well as the first A.S.A.P.! I watched this on video so the quality wasn't great. The picture was dark and the sound was no good too (HEY IT'S VHS, SO IT'S SUPPOSED TO be no good COMPARED TO DVD). This is a better buy on DVD i'm sure, because you'll get the Widescreen version of the movie and great 5.1 EX surround sound! Well check this movie out but be warned, there are some gruesome parts. To conclude my review, I will add a short summary:

Blade, is drawn into the world of his enemies after a new kind of super vampire emerges. With the help of his mentor/friend Whistler and a new "groupie" named Scud (WHO WOULD BE CALLED SCUD??), he must destroy the Supervampire, before the world is overruled with Daywalkers like Blade.

Summary: More blood, bigger jaws!
Review: Blade II is wonderfully made.Visual effects are first class knock outs.We have like 40cm jaws, fried vampires, sun light bombs, chopped heads and arms, half a vampire, bites, bites, blood, a lot of blood, creepy new vampires called the reapers.
Action, marcial arts, kicks, punchs and a lot of fun.

The plot...well the plot is lame, like all the secuels plot.
Example: Mein In Black 2(Horrible), Urban Leyends, final cut(Worst than Candyman 2) and(But not a secuel) The Scorpion King(What was that?).

Here our friend Blade, after he gets back his old partner Whistler, is asked by the vampire Damaskinos to be a like 7 vampire gruop boss to kill the reapers.Specially Nomak, the first one.

Blade II is not bad at all, but they could came with a better plot.Like I said, action is awesome.I was with my mouth opened all the movie, I couldn't belive what I was watching lokked so real!.

Wesley Snipes is not a good actor, but not bad at all.
The one I liked was Scud(Norman Reedus), he did a great job.
He was like, the funny guy of the movie(This movie have a lot of humor and sarcasm jokes).Scud is Blade's new partner.

Lyssa was pretty, and the other girl with red hair too.But unfourtunally I can't say that the two of them will survive.
Whistler is back men! He kicks buts here!, he's the best charachter of the movie, even better than Blade(Well, not Blade).

Director Guillermo Del Toro(Also directos of the cool monster movie with another bad secuel, Mimic) did an excellent job.
He knows his job.

Blade II is for horror/action movie lovers.Or, of course, the comic fans.
It's not better than the first one of course, but tis one has more action with the 2002 moder visual effects.
Go and see it now!

Leonor Valera(Nyssa)

Summary: Superbly Done
Review: I love watching american movies not because I like the US of A but because american film makers spent so much time, effort, money and dedication in bringing to audiences around the world great movies such as BLADE II...one of the great action movie I have seen so far!!!This film is superbly done!Great action choregraphy better than Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon!!!And this is the first really,of all the vampire films I've seen, that how a vampire should die its like being eaten by fire coming from the inside the CGI really compliments the action. The story is ok although it could have been done with the character of kris kristofferson (no bad personal intention) differently say becoming a truly bad vampire...anyhow just a suggestion...
I could have given this 10 star but you can only give a max of 5 star!!!Last thing this review is based on the VCD format so I can't wait to order the DVD version just to fully experience the DD 5.1 and DTS sound format I'm sure this gonna blow me away!!!!

Summary: A fun ride
Review: If you want to watch a movie for pure fun (not overall content) watch this movie. Sure it does not have the best script or the best cast, but it is pure action at its finest. The special effect / Make-up effects are very well done.

Summary: Good Sequel Action Wise
Review: I really liked this movie. Anybody who says that this movie stinks are A) lying or B) dont like action. This movie is really packed with good action sequences. The opening one didn't really impress me (compared to the opening from Blade I), but Blade II maintained the action pretty well (bigger, badder ones than the first ones). Although some of the CG action sequences are questionable, it didn't really mattter to me that much.

The addition of "reapers", ultra-super-uber vampires, are cool but aren't all that interesting once you get over how they "suck" the blood from victims. Snipes delivers a good performace, maintaining the cool yet brutal title character he played in the first one. The rest of the cast did well too, although the fling with Nyssa and the blood pack could have used more development.

Yeah sure the plot is thin but why the heck would you worry about good plots when watching an action movie? I mean sure it matters but I don't think it's vital to a movie that's in this case more comic-ishly action oriented. If you want that, then go rent/buy the first one, which seems logical since all the people who complained about plot prefered Blade I. Anyway good buy if you're a fan of good action movies.

Summary: Action Packed Adventure
Review: This is a non-stop suspense action feature with Blade again dominating the scene. This story takes on a weird alliance with Blade and other vampires in a 'search-and-destroy' mission to eradicate an aggressive, militant vampire faction. If your not a blood and guts viewer, avoid this episode...otherwise sit back and see Westley Snipes perform in his morbid action sequences.

Summary: adrenaline boiling!!!
Review: This is by far one of the best action movies ever! The special effects and fight scenes are worth every penny. If you like violence, this is top of the line!

Summary: terrible sequel
Review: Since I really enjoyed the first Blade, I was excited about the sequel. This film was a terrible disappointment. Instead of utilizing traditional filmmaking tools, such as actors, plot, and character development, director Guillermo del Toro throws in one lame action sequence after another. Don't think that this endless action is a good thing. Half the fighting is uninspired and full of pitiful CGI. Where the final showdown in part 1 was a classic kenjutsu duel, in part 2 it is a stupid brawl, replete with ridiculous wrestling moves. I'm using the word stupid a lot because that is the word that this entire movie reeks of. It is as if the movie was designed to deliver cheap thrills that would only satisfy the stupid. I was insulted by this movie, as if the director was suggesting I was stupid and trying to take my money by tricking me into seeing this trash. It is obvious that Guillermo del Toro was not affiliated with the first Blade, as there is an absence of complete stinkiness in that movie. The first movie was by no means perfect, and so I thought that this one would expand on the first and continue an entertaining and noble franchise. Sadly, this movie did not do so. This is the kind of sequel that makes you ashamed that you saw the first one at all. Pure filth.

Summary: Why is movie making taking this direction?
Review: Nothing in this movie redeemed its deplorable violence. The first Blade was original, interesting, and uber-cool. Blade II is a shadow of the first; it is empty, cynical movie making, pandering to the dregs of (male) society. There was nothing surprising about this movie; there was no story in this movie. It tried to make up for this by filling time with the most horrific, violent, bloody, disgusting scenes I have ever witnessed, but it didn't work. It was violent without reason or cause. All of the fight scenes looked staged, and all the technology, which was so ahead of its time in the first movie, looked dated and out of place. Save your money and buy a genuine action movie -not a mimicry of one.
