Review: The Matrix is a movie with excellent special effects. Starring Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne, the movie takes place around the year 2099. In that time the world had been taken over by one of mans creations. A.I. Artificial Intellegance. These Androids/Robots have enslaved human kind into being their Power sources. All of the human race has been put into a computer generated world called the matrix. A band of free people that are not plugged into the matrix are working hard to free the others and destroy the A.I. so that humans can take back control of the Earth. The only remaining Human city is Zion. Situated near the core of the earth where it is still warm. Unfortunatly they do not show Zion in the movie. But myself and many others out there are hoping for sequils. And if they make sequils I hope they will be good and not cheesy like many other sequils to movies. Many people don't like The Matrix because they don't entirely understand the concept and story line. Some stuff I talk about won't make sense until you see the movie. If you love Top notch special effects, great story lines, and excellent actors. Then THE MATRIX is the movie for you!

Review: The Matrix is a must see for any movie fan - not just sci-fi fans. This movie is a great combination of magnificent actors and a fabulous plot. If that isn't enough, throw in the greatest fight scenes ever seen, the newest awesome special effects, and incredible sound and you've got the best movie of the year. Don't miss this incredible movie and just remember, "there is no spoon."

Summary: Top Action Movie of 1999--And The Decade!
Review: The Matrix is a must see movie for many reasons. Keanu Reeves outdoes himself in this one, as does Laurence Fishburne. But the one we really need to pay attention to in the future is Carrie Anne Moss. Her portrayal of Trinity was both strong and vulnerable at the same time. The brothers have done it again. The FX were superior and didn't overtake the movie. Watching some parts of the movie I found myself holding my breath or gripping the arm rests! I'm actually going to see the movie for the 10th time this evening and I'm looking forward to it as much as I did the 1st time. I can't wait! If you have a chance to buy this movie, please do so. I promise that you won't be disappointed. I'm acutally going to buy the DVD--and I don't even own a DVD player yet! I live in Seattle and we still have the Matrix playing in a couple of theaters. And the movie is still packing people in on the weekends. This movie is FANTASTIC! A TRIUMPH!

Summary: An incredibly original and innovative adventure
Review: The Matrix is a one of a kind action film which takes the viewer into a sort of alternate reality, while painting the real world as a fictitious computer program. The characters take martial arts and gunfighting to a whole new level with their computer enhanced powers. All of this adds up to an adventure like no other. If you have not seen this film it is a must see for anyone who likes action/science fiction films. It is one of, if not the best film in its class.

Summary: Better than your average action movie.
Review: The Matrix is a refreshingly different kind of film, in that it does not abide to the by-the-numbers antics of most other action flicks, which only try to dazzle a viewer with explosions and gunfire. The Matrix does unfortunately have all of that, but there is also a backbone to the carnage. The story is not the most original, and the Wachowski brothers seem more eager to show fight scenes (the martial arts battles ARE mind-boggling) and mayham rather than continue developing their story. There are many visuals here that might remind some viewers of scenes from Terminator 2, Dark City, and other films as well. In fact, The Matrix was filmed in Sydney where Dark City was, and actually re-uses some of the sets, including the giant stairs and rooftop. The plot is somewhat similar to Dark City, but not entirely. The Matrix isn't simply a dirivitive action movie. The plot is entertaining, if not very original or involving. There are two sequels on the way. Hopefully they will continue to enrich the story and further it along instead of simply exploiting all of the ground-breaking effects which this chapter introduced, like so many movies and TV shows are doing now. Come to think of it, do we really need the sequels? I think the ending to this one put a lid on things nicely.

Summary: The Martix is so wicked awesome!
Review: The Matrix is a sci-fi, action-stuffed, hit hard movie! I totally recommend... Though it is not easy to tell what is happening the first time you see it, once you see it a second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, ect. time you totally get and luff it! Many people might think it's weird and it is... but weird is always best. ^^ The creators of this movie and plot are ingenius but still at the same time fun loving and unique. They love anime and wrote the whole movie on story boards in a sort of Manga style... The actors are so awesome! I think Keanu Reeves, Lawrence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss totally made the part... and they're outfits really pulled they're look together. I am excited to hear that the TWO sequals are coming out May 15, 2003!! WHOOOO!! ^^ Wif the same actors and more! The Matrix Reloaded and The matrix Revolutions. It's back!
